Over the festive season we love nothing more than curling up with a good book and a box of mince pie or two. And this year there are some VERY good books indeed. So we asked all the publishers we work with to nominate one of their favourite reads to enjoy this Christmas. And here they all are in one handy list.

Better still - one lucky gransnetter can win the ENTIRE lot. Yup - that's every book featured on the page. Worth more than £500. In our book (no pun intended) that's a pretty fine haul at any time of year - and absolutely perfect for Christmas.

We just want to know where you like reading. Your answers will be put into the very large hat and a draw (made at random) will take place at midday on Weds 10 December - so the winner will receive their prize in plenty of time for the big day. All the details on the page

Indoors, lazing on the chaise longue. No TV or radio, just me and my book interrupted at regular intervals by my old wrinkled retainer (hubby) who brings me tea. grin

My favourite place to read, is curled up on the couch with my two dogs: one usually on my lap, and the other keeping my feet nice and warm!

I love to read anywhere and everywhere but my favourite has to be curled up in front of an open fire on my favourite chair.

I have a rocking chair in the bay window of my bedroom, with a great view. I love to curl up in it and read.

I like to read in different places. In the spring I like to sit in the conservatory when the sun shines. In the summer I like to sit outside on the decking it the shade. In the autumn its back to the conservatory or my big chair in the lounge. In the winter its an early night to bed with a hot cup of Horlicks and lots of cushions.

In the now lost past in a house my parents had in Ireland with a great view of the sea, in stormy weather, with the fire lit..

These days, in winter, on a sofa backed up against a radiator, and of course in bed, under a duvet, also.

My favourite place to curl up with a book is in a quiet corner of my local library. The children are off happily in the children's section with Dad and I get a little piece of heaven in my mad busy days!

I like reading in bed, nice and snug and warm, trouble is if I get hooked, I dont close it again till its finished so I can wave goodbye to a good nights kip!

My favourite place to read is a sheltered bench beneath the cliff walk by the beach. Sometimes there is glorious sunshine and always a fabulous view.
Best of all, the bench has my name on it. Honest!! Makes me feel rather special. :-)

In winter it's curled up in an old chair, with a cat next to the log burner, summer it's a deck chair and glass of wine to hand.

It has to be in bed. Electric blanket. Winter outside. Perfect.

I love to curl up on the floor by my bedroom radiator. Perfect place for a good book on a cold night!

My favourite place to read is my bedroom, it's a very peaceful room in cream and light green and very relaxing to curl up in bed with a good book.

I love reading, it has always been an escape from the mundane world.
I can read anywhere, but my favourite place is in bed before I go to sleep
usually for about 45 minutes, and then first thing in the morning.
I'm so lucky to be retired and able to indulge myself.

I love to read in bed; plump up all my pillows and ensure I'm comfy before settling down with a good page turner.

My favourite reading place is curling up on the sofa with a hotwater bottle on a cold winters night.

madamejosephine Mon 24-Nov-14 21:03:02

There's nothing quite like relaxing in the bath with a good book, topping up the hot water for 'just one more chapter' till I'm wrinkly like a prune

Tinyminx Mon 24-Nov-14 21:16:48

In my bed. There's nothing like being in pjs and climbing into my soft, cosy bed. Everything is done for the day, the children are asleep and I can lose myself in the pages.

Some people read to get to sleep; I keep turning the pages and stay awake out of interest!

There are books around my bed, I just love the feel of being able to reach out and enter another world
