Over the festive season we love nothing more than curling up with a good book and a box of mince pie or two. And this year there are some VERY good books indeed. So we asked all the publishers we work with to nominate one of their favourite reads to enjoy this Christmas. And here they all are in one handy list.

Better still - one lucky gransnetter can win the ENTIRE lot. Yup - that's every book featured on the page. Worth more than £500. In our book (no pun intended) that's a pretty fine haul at any time of year - and absolutely perfect for Christmas.

We just want to know where you like reading. Your answers will be put into the very large hat and a draw (made at random) will take place at midday on Weds 10 December - so the winner will receive their prize in plenty of time for the big day. All the details on the page

my favourite place is the bottom of the garden in summer and come the cold weather it has to be my bed !!!!!

I like to read snuggled up on the sofa with a blanket and cushions around. Even better if I have a bar of hazelnut chocolate within reach.

No better place to curl up with a book than in bed - especially on a Sunday morning!

My favourite place is anytime, any place, anywhere! I read constantly as it's the best. I read on the train, lunchtimes, the library where I enjoy quiet time and on holiday. I lose myself in a book and it's the best way to unwind. I have four books on the go at anytime and keep them everywhere. I have books, kindle and ten books a week from the library.

New books are exciting and rediscovering read books is like catching up with an old friend.

My favourite place to read is on the sofa with a warm tea or hot chocolate in wintertime. Summertime the best is sunbathing with a book.

I love to curled up in my cosy bed with cup of hot chocolate & a good book. Nothing better than a early night on a cold Winter night.

Snuggled up on the sofa with a throw over my legs and a cup of tea in the winter or stretched out on the deck with a cup of tea in the summer!

My favourite place to read depends on where I am. If I'm at home, its either in my nice light and airy sunroom or in my nice, light bedroom in bed,

If I'm at our holiday home in Spain, it's in the sun on my sunbed with my feet up, the smell of suncream and ozone around me and a nice long cool drink in my hand.

I always take loads of books with me, an electronic reading device just doesn't give me the same satisfaction as holding a book in my hand.

Books rule!

My favourite place to read is curled up in a chair in my conservatory, with a mug of coffee to hand.

When I come to a part in a book that makes me stop and ponder on what's been said, there's nothing like the sounds and colours
of mother nature, to make thoughtful moments much more pleasurable.

Sitting on my comfy armchair with my legs dangling over the arm, coal fire on, big mug of tea and a great detective book.

On a very small sofa in my sun room, cosy, quiet, private, small piece of heaven in a busy house.

Pamish Mon 24-Nov-14 23:39:41

It has to be in bed, as all my chairs are covered in books. Nice new duvet and a hot chocolate. The best thing about being retired? I sleep till I wake.

My favourite place to read is snuggled up in bed.

I love to read in bed in the morning with my morning cuppa. Love feeling peaceful and relaxed whilst I lose myself in my latest book. This is "me time" before I start my day, although my book is never far away and I love to read anytime, anywhere, no matter where I am. #bookworm. smile

My favourite place to read is in a hot bath, once the water cools top it up and carry on reading...

My favourite place to read isn't a place, it's a time when I'm me. The time when suddenly I connect with the child I was, the teenager, the young woman and now the mature grandma and I marvel: oh. my. god. I cannot believe how surprised I am at life, how extraordinary and mysterious those stacks of books and crowds of people are. Books and people that's the place for me, somewhere between the pages of the next book.....

In my armchair under the christmas tree, so romantic.

jbasford Tue 25-Nov-14 08:59:23

Snuggled up in an armchair by the fire, with a gin and tonic and box of
chocs

purpaula Tue 25-Nov-14 09:22:43

In the summer I read under a shady tree and in the Wintertucked up under a blanket on the sofa...bliss

Rock17 Tue 25-Nov-14 10:09:05

In the conservatory on my rattan chair, with a view of my garden.

Fiendarina Tue 25-Nov-14 10:15:57

My favourite place to curl up with a book is on sofa in our kitchen, huddled under a patchwork quilt and basking in the warmth of an incredibly ancient AGA. The rest of the house is not quite so cosy at this time of year!

hazieb Tue 25-Nov-14 10:49:08

I love curling up in bed when everyone else is asleep and there's no noise whatsoever. I can totally submerse myself in the story and read myself into complete relaxation and eventually sleep.

HotPotBottom Tue 25-Nov-14 11:00:08

It's a bit cliché but my favourite place to read is in bed, propped up with lots of pillows, with a cuppa to hand.

Susangilley Tue 25-Nov-14 11:55:30

My favourite place is to go to bed early with a cup of cocoa and a big soft cushion behind my head. This just has to be the best place ever to read.

linzi54 Tue 25-Nov-14 12:06:12

During winter it has to be curled up on the sofa with the fire on. Bliss!
