Over the festive season we love nothing more than curling up with a good book and a box of mince pie or two. And this year there are some VERY good books indeed. So we asked all the publishers we work with to nominate one of their favourite reads to enjoy this Christmas. And here they all are in one handy list.

Better still - one lucky gransnetter can win the ENTIRE lot. Yup - that's every book featured on the page. Worth more than £500. In our book (no pun intended) that's a pretty fine haul at any time of year - and absolutely perfect for Christmas.

We just want to know where you like reading. Your answers will be put into the very large hat and a draw (made at random) will take place at midday on Weds 10 December - so the winner will receive their prize in plenty of time for the big day. All the details on the page

I love relaxing in the bath with a good book and a glass of Rioja - not that it happens often enough sadly!

In/on my bed - although we've just moved so at the moment it's surrounded by a sea of boxes!

I only like to read at home and in the evenings. I always have one book next to the bath (currently 'Molly Fox's Birthday') and one upstairs for reading before I go to sleep; right now that's 'The Children's Book' by AS Byatt. I read two books concurrently because our bathroom is downstairs (oddly designed house) and it annoys me to be snuggled up in bed and realize that my book is downstairs!

I enjoy reading in lots of different places, I have a book in my bag so that I can read when I am waiting for my appointments, a pile of books and magazines on my bedside table and a pile in the lounge.

I love reading in bed and also in the garden when the weather is nice smile

I enjoy reading in the garden in summer but at this time of year I prefer reading in bed!

debwh142 Wed 10-Dec-14 08:03:15

In bed or in the bath where I can get some peace and quiet

kathleenpollio Wed 10-Dec-14 08:16:49

i likle to read in my conservatory during the summer - but far too cold in winter so sofa n fire in the living room is a more pleaseant option

I really only get chance to read whilst on holiday but nothing beats a good book in the sun whilst relaxing with a cold drink.

dcavender Wed 10-Dec-14 09:01:57

the best place i like to read is in the conservatory

Bellroyd Wed 10-Dec-14 09:24:22

I like to read in my wing armchair, toasting my toes in front of a log fire, with mug of tea nearby and perhaps a little classical music in the background. Bliss!

rolandmartin Wed 10-Dec-14 09:25:37

In the summerhouse on a nice cool summer evening smile X

theresacoo Wed 10-Dec-14 09:36:55

That would be in the bath - the only place where I can lock the door and have an hour to myself. I always read a book rather than a reader. like the feel of a book and have a nice collection of bookmarks.

tishist Wed 10-Dec-14 09:37:46

I love reading crime fiction like Agatha Christie

juliesan Wed 10-Dec-14 09:38:50

I love reading in the conservatory, has to be silent for me to read, I like to get engrossed in my books, and have no interruptions. A little anti social I know, but I like to give a good book my full attention.
