Over the festive season we love nothing more than curling up with a good book and a box of mince pie or two. And this year there are some VERY good books indeed. So we asked all the publishers we work with to nominate one of their favourite reads to enjoy this Christmas. And here they all are in one handy list.

Better still - one lucky gransnetter can win the ENTIRE lot. Yup - that's every book featured on the page. Worth more than £500. In our book (no pun intended) that's a pretty fine haul at any time of year - and absolutely perfect for Christmas.

We just want to know where you like reading. Your answers will be put into the very large hat and a draw (made at random) will take place at midday on Weds 10 December - so the winner will receive their prize in plenty of time for the big day. All the details on the page

My favourite place to read is cuddled up on the sofa when the temperature falls; snuggled up with a good book and my quilt makes me happiest of all

Can I be greedy and have 3 favourite spots - one is sitting in the sun in the garden; one curled up on the settee in the front room; and the third cuddled up in bed - all usually accompanied by my cat Socks, and digestive biscuits. I've also usually got a book with me wherever I go.

I read anywhere and everywhere! I read in bed before I get up; on the train while I'm travelling; in a cafe at lunchtime; on the sofa in the evening; in the bath and back in bed again.

On these cold winter nights I love to put on the electric blanket and cuddle to a good book under a thick duvet with a nice hot cup of cocoa!

Love to curl up with a book on top of a pile of giant cushions by the window on a rainy day xxx

On the train as it's the only place that I get any peace!

I love to read in bed before going to sleep. As a child I read under the covers with a torch.

I love reading in bed, I don't get to do it very often so I treat myself when my husband is working night shifts

MammaGoRound Tue 09-Dec-14 21:10:26

My favourite place to read my books is curled up on the couch in front of a roaring fire.

I like reading in bed. Particularly in winter, snuggled up with a hot water bottle, and a mug of tea.

In bed, as reading helps me relax and unwind after a busy day

Depends on time of year and whether home or away. My absolutely favourite place to read a book is anywhere when away somewhere sunny on holiday. I love reading on the beach or by the pool and then love to go back to the hotel late afternoon and spend a lazy hour or so lying on the bed reading before going out to eat.

bigbenuk Tue 09-Dec-14 21:28:44

I read my books in front of the log fire this time of year, but mostly late at night in bed.

I stoke up the woodburner when everyone is out and I tuck up my feet and snuggle into the sofa with a great big cuppa. Blissful reading!

I love to sit in our dining room, warm and cosy with my feet up in front of the window with hopefully the sun shining through.

Any place, any where, any time... nothing better than reading... unless you have little monsters jumping up and down on you!!

xlovekillsx Tue 09-Dec-14 22:40:07

I like to read curled up on the sofa in Florida - looking out the window at a swimming pool, a golf course with a huge lake and occasionally an alligator! smile

welshpolarbear Tue 09-Dec-14 22:41:20

Cosied up in bed with lots of pillows.

Jessica321 Tue 09-Dec-14 22:41:39

Somewhere where there is peace and quiet so I can fully immerse myself in the story.

ItsGreatBeingAGran Tue 09-Dec-14 22:51:15

With my granddaughter at bedtime, she chooses the story and, as her reading has improved, we read it together, then another, then another! Grandma's are good like that.
