Win £700 worth of the best books of 2015!

A book I take out again and again to read is The Great Gatsby by Scott Fitzgerald. Gatsby, a man who has everything, cannot have the one thing he desires. So sad!

It might be an obvious one but I really love the Harry Potter series. They teach you so many things - trusting in people, not trusting in people, perseverance, courage, not giving up hope, doing things for others. I could go on!

So many candidates but I would have to choose To Kill A Mockingbird - I'm sure I won't be the only one

the road to little wittering by bill bryson - bill returns to traipsing round england and being just as funny

I love The Magus by John Fowles. So many levels and depths to this book, I discover something new each time I read it.

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. I read it in English class at school and just fell in love with it. It's full of darkness and redemption. Brilliant.

The Hitch Hikers' Guide to the Galaxy, Douglas Adams. Such an original idea and absolutely hilarious. Even though we first read it many years go my friends and I still go around quoting it today!

The Stand by Stephen King. An epic journey of a book. How he brings the strands of a story together and always has a great ending is a great skill.

My favourite book at the moment is Me Before you by JoJo Moyes. What a book!! and nothing like I have read before. Very thought provoking to say the least. My husband is reading it now and cannot put it down, so not just for the Ladies! I am going to get After You to read next...So looking forward reading it.

Roads Ahead edited by Catherine o'Flynn a collection of short stories by new talents. I particularly enjoy 'Six of the best' by Iain Grant. Based around Birmingham in the 70s, its a stark reality of life in council estates, with a wicked twist at the end.

My favourite book at the moment is Me Before you by JoJo Moyes. What a book and nothing like I have read before. Very thought provoking!

I have many well loved authors and books. So many that it is too hard to choose a favourite, so I have to say that whatever book I'm reading, at that time it is my favourite.

I love 'Me Before You' by Jo JO Moyes. It is beautifully written and is a wonderful story.

Harry Potter! Nothing like a bit of escapism that harry Potter can give you!

The Tea Rose by Jennifer Donnelly, it's a real page turner and you're drawn into Fionas world from the very 1st page.

I have just re-read 'To Kill a Mockingbird' by Harper Lee and it is still an engrossing, fascinating book.

Very difficult to chose one favourite. But a book I can always go back to & have a giggle is Cold Comfort Farm by Stella Gibbons. Wonderful characters, surrealism, and then there is "something nasty in the woodshed". Brilliant!

Recently the book I have enjoyed most was The a Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins.

The Inheritors by William Golding - the only novel to make me think like a Neanderthal!

I love the Song of Fire and Ice series by George R R Martin. The first Game of Thrones is still my favourite.

Testament of Youth - Vera Brittain, it's a compelling history of how a generation was changed forever by war and the reason I am a pacifist. And if I can cheat as there is a trilogy of Testaments, Testament of Friendship and Testament of Experience are excellent as well

Frankie by Domini Highsmith is a moving story of a neglected child, starved of his mother's love. You will want to rescue Frankie from his torment, hug him and give him a happy home.

I LOVE Misery by Stephen King. I was never really into reading before but this book changed it all. I now adore reading and Steven King.

My fav books are the anne rice beauty trilogy. Ive worn out my first copies and had to replace them with new ones.
