Well I have to do it too! Our Pilates class this morning was great fun with red, white and blue ribbon waving, and getting into the mood. Plenty going on in the locality so will be taking the GC to festivities over the weekend as well as viewing the seals at Blakeney Point! Weather looks dire..... Enjoy yourselves fellow GN.

When I was a brownie i learned all about the flag. upright red and white st george's, diagonal red and white, st patricks, diagonal white and blue, st andrews. and it MUST be flown with the broad white stripe nearest the flagpole and not dropped on the ground. and there is a special knot that comes undone and unfurls the rolled up flag when you pull the cord. So far so good. Passed the test.
As Welsh brownies though we did notice that there was something missing from this flag. Miffed. Permanently. Sorry!
Am thinking of getting a welsh flag to hang outside if Dai Green or any other welsh person makes it into an olympics athletics final. But until then we will stay flag free. have fun folks.

Decided I would become 'jubilant', accordingly there are now 14 flags flying from the old homestead, 4 in flowerpots (mingling nicely with the ferns and ivy) and one larger one planted in another flowerpot.
All far more tastefully arranged than the tatty old bunting strung across the high street!

OGM my flowers pots are also sporting they suddenly sprang up over night and we have have put up bunting across the front fence,just wondering how many will be there in the morning when the people from the local pub have made their way home tonight.?

We have put our bunting up at home this afternoon, and while we were out hanging it some of the Mums in the court all got chatting had have decided to have a street party on Tuesday.

So I have spent the evening shopping for food, more bunting, plates, napkins etc etc etc, and its about time this new estate got some community about it.

glass how nice to have the estate coming together,I bet you will have a great time.I thought that the people here on our small development would be full of all things regal but how wrong am I ? My garden is the only one with bunting and everyone with the exception of 6 of us and my DD and 2 youngest DGCs are having posh afternoon tea party on Tuesday,none of the others are interested so I'm not asking again miserable lot. I don't care anyway and loads of bunting !!!
