on Sunday, then I believe it will show that this country has lost any small semblance of moral decency it was holding onto. And that the heads of a national institution have let all thoughts of ethical reasoning go out of the window in favour of political correctness.

I can only hope that it doesn't make number one.

But, my God, this country has sunk to an all-time low.

Very sad.

phm12 , you say anne williams was respected by everyone all over the country, I personally have never heard of her .

may she R.I.P

I'm with vampire queen, she was a nasty spiteful woman, and my sympathies are with her family for having to be related to such an evil wicked woman, she was vindictive and malicious, and ruined our country

Nonu Thu 18-Apr-13 23:10:23

Crikey Susie , bit harsh .

susieb755 Thu 18-Apr-13 23:12:43

I reserve my harshness for those who deserve it ! - she wouldn't have cared what I think, she only cared about her self and her cronies

Utter nonsense, susieb755

Have we not had enough on this subject? Everyone seems to have had their say, vented their spleen or expressed their admiration ad nauseam at length and I do wonder why we can't move on? Alternatively could we have a Thatcher hate/love thread and the rest of us could just ignore it?

Anne Williams, Nonu was the mother of one of the Hiillsborough victims who fought tirelessly for a truthful account of the tragedy rather than the police cover-up. She was diagnosed last Autumn, I believe, with terminal cancer, but at least saw some justice for her dead son and other victims before she died.

I'll agree to disagree merlotgran , everyone can have an opinion, I just happen to have very good reason to have a particularly strong one about her......

I guess you could ignore this one gracesmum. But I agree. Done to death already.

j08 One post was deleted probably because only one post was reported by someone or even lots of someones. I dare say if you or someone else reports the second one, that will be deleted to.

j08 Fri 19-Apr-13 08:16:11

I reported the first post. I think whoever at GN deleted that one would have seen the other post and, as it was in the same vein, would have deleted that too. I think if people are going to run a website such as this, they should take some responsibility for what goes on on it.

Bags Fri 19-Apr-13 08:26:16

Difficult to see how that could be done, jings, other than the way it is done already. Also, I don't think we should 'pass the buck' to someone else – we should be in control of what we say on it. Mostly, we are, but there are some slip ups when people get annoyed about something. We're only human. smile

One of the posts that was deleted was addressed to me. I did not ask for it to be deleted.

Greatnan Fri 19-Apr-13 08:31:19

It would be interesting to know which member holds the record for most posts deleted. grin

annodomini Fri 19-Apr-13 09:36:25

Why is this thread still extant when the event was over and done with last Sunday?
