... getting ready & thinking through my 3 min slot in 2 hours time telling Local Authority Chief Exec & 'partners' (I hate that word) that the Volunteers they could be using may look like old grannies but are so much more than the official 3 day course training them for this particular volunteer role (as Restorative justice facilitators).

What are you avoiding by going on Gransnet?

Hoovering and doing the bathrooms, and hoping the rain stops for lunchtime when Norman will be waiting for his walk.

Bags Wed 15-May-13 10:51:16

Nothing. I go on GN between tasks. It's physical resting time for me.

You two are just goody two shoes grin

Elegran Wed 15-May-13 11:11:07

I should be puting weedkiller on the drive and paths. If I stay on Gransnet much longer it will rain and I can will have to put it off again.

glassortwo Wed 15-May-13 11:17:24

Its wet here elegran so put it off the rain is heading your way. grin

Elegran Wed 15-May-13 11:27:54

Thank you for that weather forecast, Glass The rain will just wash it all off, won't it?

I have tidied my desk in between checking Gransnet, so I can still feel virtuous.

ninathenana Wed 15-May-13 11:28:50

Not avoiding anything. This and reading is how I pass my quiet time.

glassortwo Wed 15-May-13 11:31:09

elegran cant see the point in having to redo it. grin

HildaW Wed 15-May-13 15:24:52

....the rain....am trying to do a bit of gardening but its a tad showery!

JessM Wed 15-May-13 16:58:35

jet lag and post trip gloom. The moving house project - loads to do. Just taken a whole lot of nice kitchen crocks out onto kitchen floor. 7 jugs for instance. Take/store in garage/ leave for tenants...? Avoiding making decisions. hmm

I am here...gaining a little perspective on life and learning quite a lot from all the forums and some delightfully wise women!

Wow ! Perhaps I'll retract the delightful

bluebell Wed 15-May-13 20:42:30

Sorry you were subject to that Gigi - this thread was pleasant and light hearted and your comment was warm and didn't deserve the response it got from JO8- it reminded me of those children who put two fingers down their throat when someone says something nice - hope this post doesn't get deleted.
