It is difficult to understand why it has taken all this time to find the car when it is near Habère as one would have expected the police to start at the flat and move out in increasing sweeps. Still, at least it has been found now.

I have been following this the whole way through. So many thoughts, if's and maybe's. Hopefully news soon.

Surely some of the local people helping to search would have used this lane? I was expecting the car to be found in a very remote location.
If it is greatnan's car then at least we know she wasn't involved in an accident but where on earth is she??

Positive thoughts for Greatnan, her family and all those involved in the search, waiting with bated breath and everything crossed.

Let us hope they have tracker dogs at the ready if it is indeed Carol's car. I shall sleep even less tonight!

My thoughts are also with the family. If it's nerve wracking for us it must be agony for them.

Some brainless hoaxer who sat watching the police turn up to not find it. I do hope that they can trace them via the forum they posted that on.

There must be hundreds of black 4x4s in the region, and more belonging to tourists there for the holiday weekend. So this may not have been a hoax, just someone seeing a black 4x4.
Realistically, if Carol set out after lunch for a walk, she must be within a few miles of Habere, because she would want to get back home before dark.
Why aren't the Police searching in widening 2km rings from where she was last seen?

I woke this morning to the Sunday Radio 4 Appeal which was for the Charity Missing Persons. Those who feel helpless and wish to do something positive might wish to send a donation to this or Missing Persons Abroad (they may be linked to each other), the Charity which has been involved in the search for Carol since the start.
