It's been a strange day. Apart from worrying about the whereabouts of Greatnan I've not been very productive. The weather is behaving in an unsettled fashion. Inky clouds, Lashing rain. The promise of a brighter sky. Please keep coming to the kitchen. I would miss the company of you lot if you stayed away.

Mr soop is in a swoon. He has never had so much female attention in a single day. I fear that it may have gone to his head. He keeps chortling

We enjoyed a delicious light lunch with wine. I'm a tad tipsy. 
We see that there is plenty of delicious food and the Champagne is ready to be shared...so, Slainte! The weather today has been mixed. Sunshine, rain and a hailstorm. 
Now it's blustery but dry again. Gorgeous clouds!
I know that you're all longing to see pics of the sofa. I'm about to add them to the album. Also, especially for the ladies, a photo of the birthday boy.
Photos now in the album. Would anyone like to sample kitty's delicious birthday cake. You're welcome to sample all the goodies that Mr soop's ladies have made and brought along to the kitchen. He looks rather pleased for himself. 
Mr soop has lit the log fire. Rory has joined him on the sofa. I shall say farewell, for now. Thank you for helping Mr soop to feel even more special than he already is. We're about to have a delicious, warming wee dram. We shall raise our glasses to you all.
I'm just so sorry that yet another day passes without any positive news regarding Greatnan. I must log off right now. Please, if there is further news, bags would you be kind and text me?

Are you others feeling as deflated as I am tonight? I really thought this weekend would bring a result and yet here we are one week on and despite incredible efforts and achievements by so many people - still no news. I am so reluctant to switch off and go to bed but none of the Carol threads are getting any new posts so there is presumably nothing new to learn. 
Soop Is the tartan rug on your sofa there for Rory to sleep on. If so you are the most hopeful cat owner I have ever met. xx.
