Someone's post another thread about the 'how to bag a MILF' on the homepage the other day got me thinking.... are they many good-looking celeb granddads out there?

Personally I wouldn't mind a bit of Pierce Brosnan grin at least for a nice cup of Darjeeling and a walk on the pier.... grin

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 04-Apr-14 19:43:57

oh look at him He looks somehow vulnerable

Martin Shaw.

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 04-Apr-14 19:44:46

Good choice Woody. I dunno how we're gonna share these out.

NannaAnna Fri 04-Apr-14 19:49:32

I'll have a share of Piers Brosnan please!!

NannaAnna Fri 04-Apr-14 19:51:20

When I was in my early 20s I really fancied Charlton Heston!
And in my 30s and 40s I was totally besotted with Imran Khan (the cricketer). Chatted to him a few times as ex-husband was a cricketer. Gorgeous ….

I'm with phoenix on this one. I just want a man to find me interesting and fun to be with [and vice versa] and the imagination never goes beyond talking. It's dispiriting when you think you're saying something very profound and you know they're just itching to go and chat with young miss pretty thing across the room sad. Nonu; Ryan Gosling has got eyes that are too close together [although I'm the only person I know who thinks it]. He's all ours wink!

I agree with you Tegan, I would like a man to find me interesting and good company. In my last job I used to have interesting conversations with a man from upstairs when we met in the communal kitchen. He seemed such a genuine person. About my age, not good looking, but nice. It was quite a flattering experience to feel that a man actually liked talking to me, made me realise how rarely that happens to women of a certain age (or is it just me?)

NannaAnna Fri 04-Apr-14 20:06:31

Why can't being interesting and good company but also physically fanciable go together … whatever one's age???

Ana Fri 04-Apr-14 20:09:07

If only, NannaAnna...[sigh]!

Sometimes just a lovely dinner and sparkling conversation would do. How about Charles Dance - he has such a lovely voice, and a good sense of humour, too! wine

absent Fri 04-Apr-14 20:22:37

If the abbreviation GILF is based on the preppy high school and college boys' arrogant use of MILF, then conversation, flowers, dinner and romance play no part – it just refers to someone you want to fuck. Not much honesty here then.

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 04-Apr-14 20:25:49

shock What are you saying Absent?! It is based on Justine's use of MILF in the April Fool joke.

And we know what it means. hmm

Nonu Fri 04-Apr-14 20:37:10

*Dahlia , lovely dinner and sparkling conversation, blow that--, just get down and dirty--.
Time and tide , I am NOT getting any younger !!

Ana Fri 04-Apr-14 20:43:28

Yes, we all know what the letters stand for, absent hmm
Do try to keep up!

absent Fri 04-Apr-14 20:45:53

Of course you do Ana but no one here is suggesting fucking just dreamy romantic interludes. Mind you, if it has to be a grandfather…

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 04-Apr-14 20:59:07

How do you know what we have in mind Absent? grin

absent Fri 04-Apr-14 21:19:12

The usual way – because I read the posts jingl

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 04-Apr-14 21:34:34

And when has a post on here said we would like to sit and read a book with the chosen GILF?

Lona Fri 04-Apr-14 21:47:43

Nonu!! I love you grin I am living the dream!

Ana Fri 04-Apr-14 21:51:35

Ooh, Lona, you lucky thing! grin

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 04-Apr-14 22:26:36

shock

Which one are you married to Lona?!

Nonu Fri 04-Apr-14 23:01:57

LONA DO TELL, I am all agog !!
Won"t sleep tonight !!
grin

absent Sat 05-Apr-14 00:15:00

jingl Read a book? What book? What are you talking about? Who has mentioned a book apart from you? I think you might need a nice lie down – without a grandfather and without a book for the time being. Perhaps an ice pack…

Judthepud2 Sat 05-Apr-14 11:05:10

I have always fancied Martin Shaw. I think he has matured nicely.

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 05-Apr-14 12:07:04

Can't do that at the moment Absent but having a nice sit down (and eat) in the Galleries lounge at Heathrow. smile

It was simply a rough guess at alternatives to......the other thing smile

papaoscar Sun 06-Apr-14 17:12:26

How about HRH the esteemed D or E? Anybody see the new HIGNFU last night and the D of E's alleged reaction to the papal gift? What the xxxx's this?
