Jamie Lawson - I wasn't expecting that.

Has any one else dissolved in tears listening to this song? I love songs that tell a story and so listen very carefully to the lyrics. Each time this song comes on, it makes me cry and I really can't decide whether it is really good or really bad. sad

Another one that gets me at the moment is Don Henley singing 'Take a picture of this' and, as for Meatloaf singing, 'Is nothing Sacred Anymore?', well.... sad

Did listen to Jamie Lawson song. But it did nothing for me or the Conway Twitty one either. I am now racking my brains trying to think of one that does move me. I love Albatross by Fleetwood Mac and the theme from Dr Zvigago but there are no words, I find some classical can make me cry, but again no words.

The Living Years sung by Paul Carrack always gets me in the solar plexus, especially "I wasn't there that morning when my father passed away, I wasn't there to tell him all the things I had to say. I think I caught his spirit later that same year, I'm sure I heard his echo in my baby's newborn tears..." Sob.

And Pie Jesu.

The Jamie Lawson song is a bit too close to home for me. I have to turn it off when it comes on the radio now.
