Noogah, with the stress on the first syllable.

pensionpat Sun 11-Mar-18 18:55:49

I know it's incorrect but have always said Nugget.

annsixty Sun 11-Mar-18 19:17:04

pensionpat Sun 11-Mar-18 19:26:30

Yes what's with Nestlay! There was an advert with a song which went

Nestles Cream
Real cream
What a dream
Nestles cream

BlueBelle Sun 11-Mar-18 19:34:31

Nugget
Skedule
Nestles
Armand not al-Mand
Porch not porcher

BlueBelle Sun 11-Mar-18 19:36:21

Oh yes and bo der cea not bodiker

MissAdventure Sun 11-Mar-18 19:46:46

I'm sure it was called nugget on adverts years ago, then suddenly it was 'nooogaah'

Cherrytree59 Sun 11-Mar-18 19:59:20

I must be gender confectionary fluid,

I don't actually like nougat and so if my memory is correct have never had call to buy any.

As a child I would have said nugget, now as I am having to think about it I'm not sure,
It is possible that I would say noo gah confused

TerriBull Sun 11-Mar-18 20:08:29

It's French so Noo ga

Grannybags Sun 11-Mar-18 21:06:00

Nugget. I also say scone as in cone, not gone.

MawBroon Sun 11-Mar-18 21:13:04

Oh dear, Noo - ga and Scone to rhyme with “gone” hmm

FarNorth Sun 11-Mar-18 21:26:59

I know it's Noogaa, but I would still say Nuggat.

FarNorth Sun 11-Mar-18 21:27:42

If Scone is a place name, it rhymes with Broon.

Auntieflo Sun 11-Mar-18 21:33:19

Nugget and skon here!!! smile. DH doesn't care, so long as we buy the nugget.
