I do not think she is evil, but foolish and misguided. One newspaper compared her with a typical Snowflake, makes mistakes then expects other people to rescue her from her predicament, which is, of course, anybodies fault but hers.

The reason she was radicalised was, of course, the fault of the police, her school, her local council etc etc and people should let her back into the UK because they should feel sorry for her and her baby and the tragedy's she has experienced. But regret for her actions? you must be joking. Renouncing her terrorist views, what?

Most gobsmacking of all, is that she really cannot understand that her current attitudes and expectations are doing her no good at all.

A penitent sinner wanting to return home, covered with the dust and ashes of remorse and repentance is one thing and can hope for forgiveness. But an impentitent sinner. demanding forgiveness as a right while while expressing no regret for their sin, is something else and entirely and this girl genuinely cannot see the difference.

My snowflake 15 year olds mistakes included got drunk, had piercings, didn’t do homework, slightly cheeky, lazy, messy, and forgetful, slightly know all and picked out totally unsuitable clothes!

They didn’t include watching beheadings, condoned rape and slavery, cheered at the deaths of other teenagers, stole their siblings passport, stole jewellery, prostituted themselves to a virtual stranger, and have no remorse for any of it.

Sorry stop denying this person agency. She was 5 years past the age of criminal responsibility and I never want to see her walking down any street that my kids could be walking down ever.

You have posted exactly what I am thinking, MOnica. She looks and sounds as if she doesn’t understand why she can’t get what she wants. She certainly does not understand the impact that her words are having here in the UK about beheadings and the Manchester bombing.
If she wants to go to the Netherlands then I hope she gets her way. She will possibly not be so high profile there and have a better chance to bring up her son in peace. Perhaps her husband’s family will welcome their grandson and there will be a good enough outcome in the end.

She'll have a hard job getting into any country with her background, she safer where she is.

For a start from here you need a full British citizen passport.

For a long stay there is a lot of paperwork involved and also a visit to the Embassy there. My GS had a GF there and signed as a Dutch citizen because he lived there for over a year. The GF is now a friend of the family and my D travels regularly for a break and the now ex. GF stays here.

I was rather surprised to hear Jacob Rees-Mogg on QT last week saying that we need to show some compassion, that she was just a child when she went and should be brought back home.

Jane I haven’t read PE for years but the cover made me laugh. However I know it is a serious situation and a difficult one to resolve. I wonder if her parents could take in their grandchild until matters are resolved. I know many would say she shouldn’t be parted from her child, but this baby is totally innocent and needs to be put first.

I haven’t heard SB once say she wants to be reunited with her family, but I haven’t been privy to all her conversations. I don’t detect any remorse.

There are hundreds of them coming back here and being given council houses and counselling. Its a disgrace. Why should I pay for them.
