Good morning, Zsarina, nice to meet you. I'm practising my patchwork skills at the moment, seeing which works best...doing it by hand or on a machine. Maths was never my strong point, and there's a lot of maths involved with patchwork.

Hi Zsarina, I am in Sydney (Aus). At the moment my DH is watching his rugby (3 games one after the other!!) while I am sitting in the bedroom watching my programs.

I am not into crafts!

I tried patchwork once. Didn’t do it for long as it was all maths and ironing.

But I thought that was what GN was all about.
General chat mostly, but more serious topics if you need help and or advice.

By the way, I see this post has now moved up to just underneath the ‘Chat with Dr Chattergee’
Oh how I wish the title was a bit different.
I keep reading it as “ How well do you sleep with Dr Chattergee?”

Hello Zsarina...I'm a little further north of you, close to Pendle Hill. I'm just starting on patchwork...learning as I go along. Like many other people, I fist saw it on the craft channels on tv, and decided to have a go. It's become quite popular and of course, there are businesses taking advantage of the trend and selling everything you need.

Hi scotinoz. I don’t have the patience anymore for craft work which is why I spend so much time on the internet...I like chatting and given half a chance I would talk your socks off

All the threads I have been in have kept to the title of the threads and I personally like variety...this way someone can comment on politics then it could change to a recipe that has been tried then it could comment on a holiday someone has had...all in all just general chat

What programs scotinoz...I am a tv addict...I love my soaps

I wouldn’t be averse (if that’s the right word) to looking into other general threads cos as I say....I like to meet people ...l like to have vocal opinions but they are mine and I don’t expect people to have the same

Perhaps you prefer chat rooms, Zsarina? It can be difficult to keep a conversation going in this format. I always find chat rooms move too quickly for me, I can't keep up.

Hi Zsarina and everyone else. Long time since anyone posted here so thought I would say hello. I am new to Gransnet and to social media - no facebook for me ! Hope everyone is well during this difficult time , like most people I am taking a very low profile. Eagerly waiting an appointment for my second vaccine.
