Well done son of soop??
Thank you for all your kind messages and advice re Henry. It really means a lot to me and my family.Hopefully the dietician will be able to advise a plan/regime for him and things will improve.
My son in law has a dairy farm,as he says the irony of owning 200 cows and having two children allergic to dairy products amongst other things.

Soop's welcoming kitchen for the sharing of...
(1001 Posts)Hello my lovelies. At last I can open up and prepare for a wee buffet to celebrate our new refuge.
Welcome!
A big thank you to everyone who posted kind messages to me. It was as much as I could do to type the sentence I did yesterday. The phone call I received was from my friend & neighbour's daughter to tell me my friend had lost her battle with cancer ?.
I am bouncing back determinedly today and keeping my glass half full ☺️
My DGN 1 had reactions similar to your DGS when he was around the same age (6mths old) Susan and was put on a strict & limited diet. He seemed to be allergic to everything at first but bit by bit recovered from most of them. He's still allergic to eggs and nuts but nothing else. He does have asthma but it is now well controlled and he is a strong, energetic and otherwise healthy 10 year old. Sending you ((hugs))
Seems there are quite a few artists here amongst our midsts. I think that all of you are much more proficiently skilled than me though. I call my dabbles non artwork because they are hardly works of art ? and my WP definitely puts my lack of skills to shame!
I'm off to 'shake, rattle and roll' in the (other) kitchen now but hope to pop back later for a
Dear CherryChez, you have done well to get back to the kitchen after so much pain. So glad you are back. Xxxx
A warm welcome back CherryCezzy. The fact that your glass remains half full, is testament to your inner strength. xxx
Hi, I haven’t been in the kitchen for months, think it’s about time I paid you all a visit.
Afternoon ladies.
My sincere condolences Cherry on the loss of your friend
.
Keeping little Henry in my thoughts Susan. A worrying time for you and your family. I hope you get some helpful and comforting information asap
.
Better late than never I hope Doodle the hot cross buns have made their way into the kitchen.
Your post made
*Greyduster*, have you thought of using a wooden spoon?
IMO balloons and flags are in order Gallen. I'm pleased you managed to get a delivery booked at last, that must be a huge relief.
Mr. S. is obsessed with tomatoes too Carilion eats them with practically everything
.
I missed your son on the BBC this morning soop
you must be very proud 'Well done Matt Warren'
.
So pleased I didn't have much for lunch and had room for one of your cheese scones dragonfly; delicious.
The ironing beckons so I hope whatever you're doing this afternoon will be more fun than ironing.
TOYA
Been AWOL for a few days and it seemingly impossible to catch up. * soop* your son is a star, a remarkable achievement and an excellent sum raised for a very good cause.
Susan I hope that the dietician is able to sort out your GS's feeding regime, bless him and hugs are sent to you.
DS has been busy clearing some stuff from the garage to shed no 1, what we really need is a skip but fat chance of that.
Carillion I'm sorry that your DH will have no tomatoes this week, I am sending you some. When I was pregnant with my son I had a craving for tomato sandwiches and I still love them, not surprisingly he has always hated tomatoes.
I am very sorry to hear about your friend * CherryChezzy* ?
I have several insect bites which kept me awake most of the night, I have got out the TCP, DH and I agree that the smell reminds us of school.
maddyone It's a treat to have you back here in our kitchen. Please don't stay away for so long again.
Likewise, Lins1066. I doubt that I shall ever catch up with this lovely lot. I'm not complaining. I am most grateful for the support that they give to those who need cheering up.
Smileless My ironing will wait until tomorrow. I shall be adding a few watercolour brush-strokes to a painting this afternoon.
Our neighbour rang the door bell and left a tray of warm pancakes and a pot of strawberry jam. All gone!!! Delicious!!! Now I shall need to pedal the exercise bike for even longer a little later. Serves me right.
GrannyGravy I keep getting the days mixed up. I was thinking that today is Sunday. Well, it ain't.
Latest pics of Mila. They were attached to a lovely email from our granddaughter.
smileless DH has the wooden spoon - it’s his by right! ?
soop that pretty lady is definitely following in Great Granny’s footsteps - isn’t she coming along a treat?
Indeed she is, Greyduster.
Grandmafrench Have pm'd you.
Don't often get in kitchen it was good to hear your good news morethan
Dizzy hope your s is a mild dose
To everyone I am sending virtual hugs .
hulahoop a group (hug) to you from us lot.
Matt has so far raised £922.00. On that happy note, I shall wish you all farewell until tomorrow.
Thinking kindly of you all.

Mila is delightful soop looks like she has your artistic genes too.
Have made some jam tarts, just fancied something sweet. Help yourselves.
TOYA
Mila is delightful and looks thoughtful. Is she left handed?
Susan poor Henry- I do hope his diet gets sorted out soon.
Smileless I could not agree more- a cat living in a home like yours or mine would be absolute bliss but at least if we did not like the abode we could soon move out. A dog is not so lucky.
A lovely day here. I have been waiting for something from Amazon. It has not left the delivery depot yet so I have a feeling it may arrive tomorrow. It is a cleaning utensil so no great rush!
I cleaned a whb and a loo today- I really must not overdo it.
TOYA
Gardening for us today, little else other than a hilarious FaceTime with Littlest. No walk as we also waited for an Amazon delivery, only just arrived. I’ve declared it too late for walking today. Sausage sandwiches on the menu in a few moments, no contest
.
How’s the escape tunnel greyd? Keep smiling.
Mila is indeed a delight soop, I do hope Henry can be helped soon susan.
TOYA, be good everyone.
susan sorry to hear about Henry and hope he gets help soon.
soop well done your son. How proud you must be. Lovely little Mila too ?
greyduster sorry you hit a blockage in your tunnelling. Keep digging ?
carillion I will swap you some tomatoes ? ? for a couple of pieces of your blackberry and apple pie ??
galen about time too. We can’t have you fading away.
Hello maddyone hope you are keeping ok ?
smileless at last my hot cross buns. Lovely with strawberry jam. I’ve got sticky fingers now ?
hulahoop I hope you won’t take it amiss if I said I’d love to eat you ?. I could do with some crispy things right now ?
charleygirl I’m not sure I have a wub but if I have will you come and clean mine for me please. Tara can come too. ?
I do envy you soop
I wish I could paint. Our son in Aus. teaches art and is very talented (OK I'm bias) but he certainly didn't get his talent from me
.
Looks like Mila is taking after her GM
.
well if Mr. G. has the wooden spoon by right, can't you get him to do the digging and you could oversee the project Greyduster.
That's true Charleygirl so our dogs are fortunate that they get treated as well as Dylan. Mr. S. isn't really a cat person which is fine by me as I get Dylan all to myself
.
Have a good evening TOYA
ps glad you enjoyed the hot cross buns Doodle; worth waiting for!!
Smileless three houses ago when I was still married my now ex was in America on business for 2 weeks. I looked after 2 dogs for friends for those two weeks- one was a German Shepherd and the other an Old English sheepdog.
I loved them to bits- I had also taken 2 weeks off to walk and care for them. My ex had problems getting in the house- they did not want him and when my friends came to pick them up the Old English sheepdog hid because she did not want to leave. My friend burst into tears but eventually the dog was dragged out.
Doodle a whb is a wash hand basin- I am sure you have one.
A whole day without central heating on- a minor miracle and tomorrow it may be warm enough to sit outside.
TOYA
I sat out yesterday. Too windy today. Hopeful for tomorrow
Ahh charley yes I have 2 actually and still quite happy for you to clean them if I can sit and stroke Tara ?
galen tomorrow should be good. Will you be having a ?in the sunshine? ?
