I have a “ signature” perfume Nuxe Prodigieux, I find the scent uplifting and really sensuous.

For every day I use scents from Jeanne en Provence, their perfumes are from £8-£20 a bottle, the smells really make you feel as though you’re in Southern France, light, delicate, feminine floral notes.

Special occasions it’s Juliet has a Gun Lady Vengeance, it is so provocative and empowering.

What are your favourites and why?

Giorgio Beverly Hills, it is more off a evening perfume.
When I was younger I loved chique by yardly
I tend not to use perfume much these days.

Coco Chanel is my absolute favourite, but Clinique Aromatics especially the body cream which is as good as the perfume.

Obsession, Euphoria, Angel which is apparently known as the Marmite of perfumes, you either love it or hate it !

I’ve also just bought Youthdew again, after smelling it on someone else and it reminded me of how much I still love it !

Beautiful by Estee Lauder. Been using this for about 20 years.

Cambia, My favourite is Clinique Aromatix Elixir too. I first came across it in 1997 when an air hostess on a flight back from Seattle was wearing it. I've loved it ever since. I tend to use the body smoother these days as the perfume is getting so expensive.

1. Samsara by Guerlain
2.Beautiful by Estee Lauder

Coco Chanel ; I buy the Coco body spray as well. It makes me feel glamourous One day when really sprayed over with it I had three men tell me I smelt beautiful. (I was blushing)
I am out of it at the moment so time to buy some more it is expensive.

At the moment it’s Jo Loves Green Orange and Coriander for me, or Jo Malone Vetiver. In my (very much) younger days, I liked Blue Grass, L’Air du Temps; and then Guerlain Samsara, Anais Anais and DH’s Cool Water after shave (Cool Water Woman is disgusting).

I just love Chanel No 5. I was once in a restaurant at the counter with people queuing behind me. The man behind me said I just have to ask what perfume are wearing, its gorgeous. In my younger days it was Blue Grass and Je Reveins but once I found No5 that was it.

Almost everything in the Jo Loves range does it for me but I particularly favour Pomelo. In my twenties it was Hartnell's in love. Bliss but sadly discontinued.

I've worn Arpege by Lanvin in since I was 20. People know me by that.

Also like First by Van Cleef and Arpels, Opium, Issey Miyake, Giorgio Beverly Hills and Le Dix by Balenciaga.

Giorgio Beverley Hills
Nina Ricci L'air du Temps
Estee Lauder Youth Dew

They are all gorgeous and evocative.

No.1 favourite - Chanel No.5. Been wearing it since I was 16 and always have a bottle of it.

2nd favourite - Blue Grass

3rd favourite - L'Aiment

They're all 'old' perfumes but all have happy memories for me.

Pure by Issey Miyake always get nice comments when I wear it especially from my daughter! Chanel no 5 before but it started giving me headaches each time I wore it so ditched that now!

I’ve had many perfumes over the years but remember being given a large bottle with a lid covered in tiger fur. It was called tigresse and I think it was by faberge. I absolutely loved it and wish they still did this.

Dior Je t'adore

Chanel No 5

Yardley Chique

Sandlewood or Patchouli Oil - takes me straight back to the 70s.

Grannydarkhair ?I thought I was the only one who loves a good fragrance on a man! Unfortunately mine doesn't wear it, which is sad as he might get a bit more action if he did ?

dorcas1950 Fri 24-Apr-20 14:21:19

First by van Cleef & Arpels and Touch by Burberry. Used to love Nina Ricci back in the day.

HannahLoisLuke Fri 24-Apr-20 14:22:03

Thank you ladies. I've now ordered a man's cologne from Jeanne en Provence and a sample set of all the perfumes form Escentric Molecules. I often prefer mens fragrances so here's hoping.
Hope they're as delicious as promised as I'm still hoping to find a perfume I love.
I've also bought in the past After the Rain soap but it didn't really smell of anything..

Zahorodnyj0909 Fri 24-Apr-20 14:39:36

Anyone remember Kiku? Wore that in my teens. Then onto Dioresscence in my 20’s. Then Karl Lagerfeld in my 30’s. A few others since.... Max Mara, Angel, Bright Crystal. Now NUXE.

pollyolly Fri 24-Apr-20 14:48:11

All Calvin Klein but especially Downtown

gulligranny Fri 24-Apr-20 14:48:19

I used to love Quadrille by Balenciaga and Mitsouko by Guerlain back in my early twenties when I was earning good money and spending it all on myself!

In 1982 I went to visit my beloved Uncle Alf who lived in Sydney; he bought me a bottle of Opium as it was his favourite. Sadly he died later that year and I've never worn anything other than Opium since then.

Humbertbear Fri 24-Apr-20 14:51:05

Paloma Picasso

I’ve worn it for years and just love it. It’s the only perfume that really stays on me. Also, no one else seems to wear it!

Puzzler61 Fri 24-Apr-20 14:56:28

Acqua di Gio by Giorgio Armani. Reminds me of choosing and buying it an airport and wearing it on holiday last year. My holiday is likely to be cancelled this summer (and everyone else’s) ?

Puzzler61 Fri 24-Apr-20 14:59:31

Zahorodnyj0909 - I remember Kiku in the vibrant yellow bottles. And Youth Dew by Estée Lauder was the one all young women were craving in the 1970’s.
