Good Morning Everyone,
Its light but its grey and misty this morning in Brackley.
Another day in, one thing that I have noticed when we have had clear blue skies is the lack of aircraft and vapour trails.
As where I am seems to see some incoming Heathrow ,and maybe Luton or ones which have taken off from Brum.
Quiet day, had some news yesterday ,they are opening the only bank in the town as of next week for 2 days and 4 hours on those days.

Good morning everyone. I too, Pame, am a newbie although I have been reading through this lovely thread for a while.

It is grey and chilly here in northeast Kent; hopefully it will brighten up later as we have got used to the sunny warm weather and being outside in the garden for most of the day.

I am in the middle of putting together a history quiz for two of my grandchildren; points are given for answers and it is turning into quite a cut-throat competition between them - luckily they are in different households! Still, it keeps me and them busy.

Hope you all have a good day.

Think I shall start an afternoon thread when it’s clear and blue - which means I won’t have to mention the thick, early morning fog here!

Good morning everyone and Mick from S of France. Did lots in the garden yesterday, perfect weather, and able to sit out @ 7pm and breathe in all the perfume from the Jasmine. We enjoyed a G&T under an apricot and turquoise sky filled with lines of birds flying home to roost. That’s more like it.

No planes or vapour trails here except yesterday morning lots of noise told us that not one plane but 4 Canadair firefighting planes were going down the coast towards Spain. We love their bright yellow and red paintwork and have watched in awe too many times when they swoop down to the water and scoop up tons to drop on summer fires. Really hope they were just practising yesterday, though.

It’s difficult to decide which is worst......wobbles and feeling really down, or the prospect of bad dreams and nightmares. I was having lots of the latter and really worried about falling asleep easily and without anxiety. Really bad dreams are usually when we’re trying to process all the problems in our lives.....got plenty of those in these dreadful times. So, planned to go to bed really late and fall asleep reading. Did this for a week. Nightmares stopped.....but cue eye strain, really tired eyes and now blepharitis! Salt water eye baths not working. DH off to Pharmacy in hope I can avoid Dr. What an idiot I am ! ?

Otherwise, we’re almost resigned to our new daily lives here. Not at all impressed with the lack of a strong plan which is needed in dear old Blighty at present. Once everyone decides to suit themselves - and it might just come to that - it’ll make a mockery out of all the sacrifices and common sense shown by so many...particularly on this Thread.

A big welcome to all the newbies on here....together we’re stronger - at least in our hope and resolve - and it’s really uplifting to be able to share in all the ups and downs, and even some laughs, that come out of our present circumstances. Stay strong good people! Big banned (virtual) hugs from ?? ??

I agree with you Gabriella it’s the daftest idea I’ve ever heard . I was thinking about who my 10 could be and it was so laughable . Why would my 14 year old DGD want my dad in her 10 ? Why would my sisters partner want my DGD in his 10?

Which pea brained idiot ever thought this could work ?

Good Morning All x
Another fine day in store, I could get used to this----but not the hemmed-in bit. I'd normally have been walking the full length of the cemetery to get to the shops, and because I haven't been doing much walking I'm ceasing up somewhat.

Savoury and sweet pancakes today for a change as I've got some plain flour left from Pancake Tuesday. Ham and grated cheese, then lemon ones to follow, easy and nourishing.
I probably have enough SR flour to make a sponge cake too, seeing as I haven't got my longed for cream sponge, it'll have to be an orange one with orange cream.

Just been re-tuning the TV to its proper programmes, a good job done at last. It was all higgledy-piggledy since the last re-tune.

Did my bit of weeding at the front yesterday and cleared the weeds coming through the floor tiles/bricks. It didn't half hurt the small of my back-----lack of movement you see and I used to be so supple. sad

Nothing to report up to now, saying that, I heard someone with a terrible cough yesterday, it sounded awful so I shut my windows and patio door just in case it travelled on the breeze. Though I did keep wondering how he was. It was coming from the direction where a couple of young men live so next time I'm in that area I'll ask if I see them.

Hope everyone's well and still coping okay----we have to do don't we ? Stay safe and well everyone xx

Spot on, gilly. Well, it certainly wouldn’t be that sour scruff bag, Cummings, that’s for sure. Hoping - while you all keep safely below the parapet, that common sense may surface and everyone (allegedly in charge) just stop floundering in the Sea of Covid. Properly launch the testing, properly launch social distancing for any shop or store, then a strictly observed, timetable of release needs to be rolled out. A jumble of families and friends and people making it up as we go along would be disastrous now.

Having five AC with partners, eight GC, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews, choosing ten would lead to WW3.........flipping ridiculous - flipping virus???

Morning everyone from the Gower. Cooler here today but seems cleaner iykwim.
This is my 2nd attempt to post, 1st one disappeared into the ether.
If I made responses to everyone that I wanted to today I'd never finish this morning's post.

Gillybob, sorry to hear you're not getting anywhere with your calls. I hate all these organisations that have you on hold for hours with repeated messages like " your call is important to us" and when you do eventually get through to a human being you're treated with contempt!

Love your water simile Gabriella. This 10 person contact plan is stupidity and will be about as much use as a chocolate fireguard methinks!! We're all meant to have a shield (and not just the shieded) of some kind from this virus, hence social distancing, how this proposed shield is going to be monitored and safe I don't know.

Just like you Curlywhirly I had my hair dyed yesterday, by my WP. I bought a semi permanent hair dye before the lockdown. I need a good hair cut but I don't think I can bring myself to let him loose on my hair as I think it will be a bad haircut rather than a good one ?

Good to have you back with us Sark?

??? to all of you having wobbles, sleepless nights or bad dreams, we will wake up from this current nightmare. Meanwhile we are all here for you and each other.

Like many, I don't have plans for today - what are plans these days anyway?
There are still good things to be thankful for though and today's technology is one because we can keep contact with loved ones, even though it is not the way we'd like.

Welcome to GN all newbies ?, it'll be good getting to know you.

Keep safe and be kind to yourselves everyone ❤️

Just had to pop back to say sorry to hear your DH's speech is still slurred Gingster. I really hope it all goes well at the hospital on Monday ?

Good morning from a now sunny Glasgow which may be our last full sunny day for a while according to forecasts.

Really trying to keep my spirits up today but my head just seems full of negatives and now this choose 10 people ridiculous move!
Also hearing nearby neighbours in their garden enjoying chats and laughter with their DS,DiL and GD who are now visiting regularly just highlights what I am missing. Selfish Bs, I am so angry at people who seem to think the guidelines don’t actually apply to them?

Sorry for the rant but I think this must be my first wobble.

Hope everyone has the best day they can.

Good morning from a bright and sunny Chester. I was up and out early today for a long walk with my dog. It was lovely to meet some familiar fellow dog walkers and chat and also to enjoy the birdsong and the quietness. No overhead planes, as noted by Mick, or the hum of the motorway in the distance. I really miss my long walks in the countryside and my trips out to hike in the hills of North Wales. I called for newspapers on he way home and now look forward to sitting in the sunshine reading them.

Have a good Saturday everyone.

Good morning from a grey Angus coast, where I seem to have mislaid my get going and am having a can't be bothered day. I shall just ride with it and see where it takes me. That's the problem with not being one half of a"We" - there's nobody but me to gee me up! Saw three deer in the field behind the house yesterday, one of my favourite sights. Also cut the grass in the "walled garden". Now that sounds very grand! Someone in this house's history, since it stopped being a working blacksmiths, purchased an extra piece of ground at the side which is actually walled off by either actual walls, garage wall and Leylandii (kept well trimmed, but necessary for shelter). So yes, my humble abode does have a walled garden which is even entered via an ivy-clad archway! Sorry I'm rambling, but this is my second attempt at a post today. The first, in which I commented on various posts above, disappeared into the ether, never to be retrieved. Why does that keep happening? Anyway welcome to newbies, hello to returners, and a request as to how to remember who posted what so that I can reply. My brain seems to be fuzzy round the edges and won't retain much at all! Have the best day you can everyone, and if anyone finds my get up and go will you let me know please. ???

Good afternoon. Two lots of washing out and a lovely shout out with a neighbour. Now I am hoarse. Welcome new people. Wishing those, and their families, who are under the weather to improve and get the medical care needed. I have various plans for the garden today but would rather flop on a lounger with a book. No prizes for guessing which option I shall choose. Off to share brunch with my pet robin.

You're welcome SilverDarlings12 but please...out the cup in the sink when you leave, not on the seat of the chair you sat in. ☕???
