Good Morning Mick and all. Here we are again! It’s dry and bright on Severnside.

I did some branch lopping off a fir tree yesterday and with some weeding to be done that will be the front garden tidy.
Also had a good natter to my friend and did some reading.

I plan to go out on my bike this morning and see the spring blossom.

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. Bright and sunny out there today.
Off to the factory to get a job ready for DH tomorrow as I am on shift with my new job. Wonder how long I will call it my ‘new’ job!! Whilst at the factory I will do some of my online course in children’s mental health. (brushing up on my out dated qualifications)

I will get a shop done at some point today then get my bag ready for work tomorrow. I will have a very early night as I need to set off before 6 in the morning as it is over an hour away. I am pleased that I have lots of shifts booked in though over the next month.

Morning all. Yet another glorious day. Sixth Sunday in lockdown. Dear God, when will this be over?
Planning to watch church service on TV, do some sewing. Lasagne for dinner, so no need to go out. Try very hard not to.

Good morning all . Sunny day here in West Berkshire . Walk and BBQ lunch today with husband and son who are enjoying their weekend off work .

Mick with all due respect your comment about ‘ many ignoring the rules ‘ is ironic to say the least .

You repeatedly ignore the rules by shopping umpteen times a week , going against the government advice to shop INFREQUENTLY.

Even if you do don’t care about yourself please try to think about other people . The rules are very simple and apply to everyone, you are not excluded .

Thank you , on behalf of my son who is a shop worker who you might be infecting .

Out earlyish this morning as we need some fresh stuff and some wine - I had to drink champagne last night.

Good morning from sunny Kent. Yes, the sun really is out here today
Himself will be off down the plot shortly until lunch time. I will have a leisurely breakfast read papers and do the crossword, which is our usual Sunday morning.
Hopefully this afternoon can be spent sitting in the garden. It was rather chilly here yesterday.

Good morning Mick and everyone. It's a bit misty in my corner of Cheshire. I wasn't sure whether it was my windows at first! The blossom is gorgeous Beechnut and so thick on the hawthorn hedges it looks as though it's snowed.

At 9.00 a walk in the now lush green of the woods. By the field the ponies, hearing our voices calling to one another as we're so far apart, line up along the fence for us to pet and chat to them. My neighbour's dog has realised that I can kick her ball furthest and keeps me busy playing with her. That sets me up for the day, although it drags later.

I read a good book with a sad ending and that upset me - no more sad novels! I don't need books or films to make me cry at the moment!

A dry and dull morning here in north Wales where DH has kindly brought the chamberpot of tea for the supping of!

Will arise soon to do the dreaded yoga stretches which keep my back strong before a quick shower and trot to fetch a Sunday paper - Don’t always buy one but do like the crossword puzzles.

Roast chicken and trimmings later and a FaceTime chat with DD this evening, so just carrying on with this damn carry on!

Good Morning Everyone. It’s sunny in my county Worcs. although I can’t see my usual clear view of the Malvern Hills so it’s been a misty start. Should make for a long sunny one. The lovely weather really is our Saviour at the moment isn’t it?
I screwed my eyes up and imagined the thick white hedge blossom Ginny42, and the horses whinny’ing. I was born a country girl although I live in town now.
GranMattie, I made a Lasagne yesterday so that was last night’s meal and half in the freezer for next week. Really glad I got freezer bags in my grocery order last week as I was running low. They’ve been out of stock. Expect everyone is portioning their bread, meat etc. when they buy it and not wasting any leftovers.
Happy Sunday everyone, stay home if you can. Let’s stick together and get through this.

It's good evening Sunday here in NZ. A beautiful day, with perfect sunshine, and now a serene evening. An early start to enjoy the sunrise over the blue Pacific, then a busy day in the garden. Moved 8 huge loads of weeds and cuttings from the lower garden to the top of the hill for later burning, wrenched some pittosporum trees to shift to a better location, trimmed hedge and chainsawed some annoying branches. Ensured I wore a hardhat, after dropping a tree on my head last year. A post-prandial nap, fed all the cats, folded the washing, then a glass of wine while watching the news. Some good British drama this evening-always a pick-me-up. Tuesday, the lockdown lifts a little, but we won't be going anywhere-enjoying our snug bubble too much. Enjoy your day, everyone.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. I hope Sunday still feels like Sunday. The rest of the week is ill defined.
4 hours gardening yesterday has left me aching and wanting rain.. I miss our stream of international helpers and wonder if that kind of volunteering will ever return.
My friend with 4 teenagers at home is struggling and so are they. One had to return from his gap year abroad due to the virus and he is finding it hard to focus.

DC send us pictures and videos from their walks as they know we can't see the outside world.

Morning Mick, morning All. Blue sky over our corner of somerset. Wind has dropped. No jobs for us today, we agreed the weekends would have a different shape just so we know it is the weekend . We looked at the stars last night and the sky was beautifully clear. Usually we can barely see any, I think our part of east London is heavily polluted. Last night we could see many, many stars.

We watched Rene Zellweger in Judy, which we thought was a marvellous film and a stunning performance.

Roast pork today. Some gardening, some tapestry and hopefully a good play on the radio.
Kitty - champagne on a Saturday in April ... I wish .... Pinot Noir was the best we could muster here.

Good morning Mick and everyone, from a sunny but cold Oxfordshire,
We’ve decided to treat Sundays as a rest day, really just so that we know which day it is, it’s getting so bad we have to sit and think about it each morning.
Gardening again yesterday, then an afternoon spent helping DHs mate with his Family tree, me online and him on the phone, we lasted until his battery went flat, but he was pleased with the progress we made and I was able to photograph each result and email it directly to him. He’s too mean to pay the subs for Ancestry! But I’m at an impasse with my own trees, so I enjoyed it too.

Good morning Mick and all from a cloudy Glasgow.

I had a bad night last night and am quite upset this morning. I was working in the front garden yesterday, with not a soul about, when a police car arrived.
To give you the background, we have lived in this small cul de sac for nearly 30 years, since it was built, as have nearly all our neighbours. We are a very supportive community, always looking out for each other.

A new neighbour moved in a few years ago, he was very unfriendly and immediately installed CCTV all around his house.
After a number altercations with his next door neighbour, much to our dismay, his neighbour sold the house.
Apparently this new neighbour reported his neighbour for breaking Covid regulations, by coming down to the now empty house, (as he had new one) to clear it before the new owners moved in.
On top of that he allegedly reported the whole cul de sac for also breaking the regulations, going into each others' driveways, ( actually dropping off necessary items like bread and milk) not keeping social distancing (untrue) and allowing family to visit.

The police went round everyone, asking if people who didn't live here had been driving down.
As you know, I'm sheilding, as is my neighbour and my family and hers are delivering essentials and medication to us.
When my daughter's fiance arrived on Friday with all my meds, this neighbour came out of his house and stood staring at him. My future SIL felt very uncomfortable.

When I explained that I was sheilding, the policemen were absolutely lovely and sympathetic to that fact I had been stuck at home for what seems like forever.
My friend was also in a terrible state, as her daughter arrived to deliver shopping, just before the police and she thought she was going to get into trouble.

Later on, I went out to the garage, as my neighbour and her husband walked past, out for their walk, when I shouted across to them. She said we shouldn't talk, as THE neighbour was out in his garden watching us.
We have all lived her very amicably for a very long time and we are now all afraid to talk to each other, as he is spying on us.
I feel horrible today. .

Sorry to be on such a downer, but life is so difficult for all of us just now and this is just the icing on the cake.

I'm going to lay low today and stay out the way as I may not be responsible for what I say, if this neighbour comes anywhere near me.

Good Morning from a bright Fife. Sunday again but tbh days are the same at the moment. I don't like wakening up and not instantly identifying which day we are on, most peculiar. Will be out pottering about garden again and making the most important decision of what's for tea since that's about all I have to do at the moment. Will get out for our walk early afternoon and that's about it for today ladies. Keep safe.

We had Aperol spritzers last night in the sunshine.
Afterwards we watched Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Love Never Dies but we were disappointed. I wonder what he is doing next week!

Roast beef for dinner but would prefer to be at DDs for their Anzac barbecue - my SiL is Australian.

Good morning from east London, bright and sunny here. The sun did come through yesterday but not as warm. When we came back from our walk yesterday, DP declared he was going to sit with a beer in the garden. Which he did in the last scrap of sunshine getting through with his fleece wrapped up to his ears. It’s his birthday on Tuesday; I may have to adapt a Christmas card. It’s not a ‘big’ one, that’s next year. Had a long phone chat with a friend yesterday; same age as me but having had a transplant has to stay put. Her DD lives locally so that helps and she’s keeping herself busy with on line classes. Also caught up with DB3 in Northumberland, who sounds like he’s walking the soles off his boots. Today, I will have a walk and that’s about all I know for definite. Have a good day

Good morning Mick and all from a cloudy Inverness. Yesterday the sun came out just before lunch and it was another beautiful warm sunny afternoon.

Yesterday I went for a short walk in the woods behind our house and passed a farmers field with some gorgeous cute baby lambs prancing about. I think they’re born a bit later in the year up here although I’m not really sure. I’m enjoying the local walks but I’d love a change of scenery. We should have been away this week walking a bit more of the South West coastal path - I don’t know when we’ll eventually get back to it but hope to someday.

I hope everyone finds something to enjoy today whatever it is.

Good Morning everyone...beautiful morning in Oxfordshire.
DH has just brought me a good strong cup of tea and toast as he always does on a Sunday bless him.
Could have been very different this week though as yesterday I cut his hair for the first time ...not too bad but luckily he is working from home!
Walk this morning then roast pork for lunch.
Would like to sit in the garden this afternoon but we have this nightmare tree (!) which is shedding thousands of white fluffy seeds and everything gets covered. (Think it might be a white poplar but I don't know)

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s sunny and the forecast says 23°C this afternoon but it’s misty and the Mediterranean is a pale wash. It rained heavily yesterday afternoon, battering against the windows. Thunderstorms are forecast for tomorrow. I want to sit on my balcony with sunscreen on! Never mind, Wednesday onwards looks promising. It will be almost May by then - such weird weather for Spain at this time of year!

I’m in bed with my cuppa. Himself is marching up and down outside on the landing. I can hear his trainers as he passes by.

I will finish ‘The White Queen’ by PG today. It’s a bit twee and irritates me and was definitely in need of some serious editing but it has piqued my interest in the Plantagenets so much so that I looked them all up on Wiki. One click led to another and I found myself watching Episode 1 of ‘The Plantagenets’ a BBC Production. I shall watch episode 2 today!

I will immerse myself in this topic, bore Himself to death with it and at the end of lockdown enter for ‘Mastermind’ ... “my specialist subject is Kings & Queens of England”.

Well done Scentia you’ve got some energy and enthusiasm going there! Excellent news that you’ve been given some shifts. Actually that’s the wrong word to use as it means the crisis has meant more heartbreak for some families. But well done IYKWIM.
