Good Morning Everyone,
Yet another bright blue sky this morning over Brackley.
It is also less windy as well at the moment.
Any way yesterday , I did attempt to scan some photos, of my late Father.
We have a Facebook page dedicated to Memories ,and the ones I eventually managed get into the right area , posting 3 items on the page .
Today ,small shop, and see how the day develops.
My hair trimmer as now arrived at a courier in UK , so will be interesting to see when I arrives.
Take Care
Mick

Morning Mick, morning everyone.
Sunnier this morning in E Kent, but pretty chilly still.
Big day today - going to the supermarket! Yay!!!
Otherwise, same old. Getting tired of not meeting anyone as it is now 9 weeks since we self isolated. A long time! But, hey, we must stay alert.
Suffering from allostasis = apparently, it is the name for brain fog.

Nannytopsy Wed 13-May-20 06:29:11

Good morning Mick, grandMattie and all to come. Slept well for a change, so awake early. We have a click and collect this morning and then into the garden I think. I would like to do some digging before it gets warm again at the weekend.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning Mick, morning All. Bright, chilly start in our corner of Somerset. A mountain of sorting for me today while Mr C wields a paintbrush. No idea what we’ll eat today. The chef could well be on strike. Be gentle with yourselves in these strange times.

Sark Wed 13-May-20 06:46:41

Good morning Mick and everyone
Bright and sunny in Oxfordshire.
Another quick mug of tea and I really must get myself moving and off to work.
Have a good day and best wishes to all

NotAGran55 Wed 13-May-20 06:48:36

Grey overhead and a bit chilly here today in a West Berkshire .
The house is sparkling after yesterday’s marathon spring cleaning session .
I have downloaded all the previous series of The Great British Sewing Bee and had series 2 on my iPad in the background all day as I did my chores . It made a change from an audiobook book ?.

Feeling tempted to go for a drive today to take a walk somewhere different as the restrictions are lifted but I can’t decide where to go!

We are surrounded by countryside and trees which I’m getting bored with now and I’d love to visit Oxford my usual ‘go to’ place for a town walk to enjoy the beautiful architecture .Although I wouldn’t be able to have a coffee , lunch or shop which is always part of the attraction sad

Oh well , I might turn left in the woods today instead of right !

I hope today is a good one for you all , especially if you are meeting up with someone from a different household for the first time .

Scentia Wed 13-May-20 06:52:29

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. Chilly out this morning.
I am at work today and my car has broken down!! I will have to go in my DH car. I hardly ever use my car and I think it has gone on strike since I got this new job and have to use it more?
I met with DD and DGS for a walk yesterday. I didn’t give my DGS a cuddle but watching him try and run on the long grass has cheered me up no end. I know we were a day early but I’m busy today?
I feel so much better after seeing my DD and having a laugh together. It’s hard not to hold my DGS but he wasn’t bothered.
Have a good day today and stay safe everyone. ❤️

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s sunny ? and Himself is just getting his shorts (thankfully not Lycra!) on ready to go out for his walk. He missed it yesterday with the torrential rain saying ‘I’m not going out in THAT!’. It poured down yesterday for hours, relentless, until after lunch.

I need to take myself in hand. I’ve not gained any weight but I’ve not lost any either - and I wanted to. I have no willpower.

A friend went to the hairdresser yesterday and another friend goes tomorrow. I’m happy to wait....

Hope Wednesday is good to us all. Keep safe everyone that’s the main thing. x

Urmstongran Wed 13-May-20 06:57:04

P.s. enjoy your drive out today Gabriella and your picnic! x

NfkDumpling Wed 13-May-20 07:08:40

Morning All

Grey and overcast here in the north of Norfolk. Chilly too. Doesn't help the mood.

Several pounds heavier and no will power.

The house is spring cleaned and I can't invite anyone in to see it! Ditto the garden which is unusually manicured. Getting rather bored now. I may venture into the loft - I think there's a jigsaw or two up there to keep me away from the kitchen and the food.

I wish I could take over for Gilly. I can sit on hold on the phone. Not doing much else.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 13-May-20 07:20:32

Good morning Mick and all x

Bright blue sky, slight breeze here in S E Essex. Changing beds, washing and hopefully ironing is on the agenda for today. Then I shall be buying GD's birthday gift and card on line, get an order in at Boots for delivery and amend the grocery order for delivery this weekend.

Day 58 in lockdown for me and honestly I am fed up with the restrictions on mine and everyone else's lives, I know it is for our safety and will continue to toe the line but I fear things will have changed for ever when this is over!!

Keep safe and well folks ?

NanKate Wed 13-May-20 07:24:05

Morning Mick and All.

Cloudy here in South Bucks.

Snap NotaGran I too miss a day trip to Oxford. I never get tired of looking at the beautiful buildings. I have been watching some of the episodes of Lewis on ITV catch-up in order to get the feel for what normal life used to be. I love all the Endeavour too.

Wish I could say what I’m up to today, but haven’t got the faintest.

Urmstongran Wed 13-May-20 07:28:21

I’ve been reviewing my weaknesses. 2 out of these 3 will have to stop. Hmm... not difficult to decide which one I won’t be giving up.

Bellasnana Wed 13-May-20 07:29:09

Good morning Mick and everyone. It is overcast in Malta this morning but it is already getting hotter. We are in for a heatwave this week if the weather forecast is to be believed.

Yesterday, I watched the funeral of my friend’s father via video link. It was very moving and more so under the circumstances with just immediate family there, having to sit apart from each other. I am not moved to tears very easily, but must admit I wept.

No special plans for the day., but I usually manage to find something to fill my time.

Take care everyone and I hope your day goes as well as possible. ☀️

gillybob Wed 13-May-20 07:37:37

Good morning from the NE coast where we have another dull and very cold start to the day .

Nothing else to say for fear of offending anyone’s delicate eyes.

Take care all . Xx

harrigran Wed 13-May-20 07:40:45

Good morning from a fairly bright but frosty NE.
A quiet day for me after all the excitement yesterday.
After a hectic day yesterday a delivery van arrived at 7pm with a beautiful bouquet of pink roses, a gift from my friend. Sadly we have not been able to meet up this year.
I ate so well at lunchtime that when it came to tea last night I was not hungry, I had a handful of dry crackers and my tummy feels calmer today.
Hoping for a better day for gilly.
Stay safe everyone.

Beechnut Wed 13-May-20 07:40:46

Good Morning everyone from Severnside where it is cloudy and bright if that makes any sense.

I’ll go for a ride on my bike later. I may be some time! Afterwards I’ll do some sewing.

I can’t wait to see my daughter either Scentia. We’ve arranged a day on the weekend.

Hope you enjoy ‘let out lockdown’ whatever you do safely ?

Ginny42 Wed 13-May-20 07:41:13

Good morning Mick and everyone. I woke up to blue sky but it's now turned grey in Cheshire. I see it's going to be nice again by the weekend. We've been lucky that it's been bright and sunny throughout most of the lockdown as it would have been truly unbearable with rain pouring down and more flooding.

I find the days merging into one, but routine has kept me focused. 'Same old same old' has come to have different meaning.

I'm fortunate to have long Skyoe chats with DD and DGS each day, but they're so far away it will be a long time until we can get flights, so long haul has a different meaning too.

Have the best day you can everyone. flowers for all. Wish it could be a huge bouquet, I think we've earned it.

brook2704 Wed 13-May-20 07:41:50

Good morning everyone from a cloudy but dry Inverness. Yesterday we had more rain and sleet - thank goodness today promises to be a bit better.
I still got out for my afternoon walk in the rain though ? ...

urmstongran I think you’ve done brilliantly not to put any weight on never mind about losing any. I’m sure I would have piled on the pounds if I’d not been allowed out for walks so well done you !

So very happy for all the GNs in England who can meet up with one other person outside for the first time today. Have a lovely day ! We’ve got to wait a bit longer in Scotland but our time will come ?

Keep safe everyone and have the best day you can ?

Marydoll Wed 13-May-20 07:42:00

Good morning all from Glasgow, it’s a bit chillier here today.
Up early this Morning, as DD went to Morrisons at 7am and plans to leave shopping on the doorstep.
I don’t know what we would do without her. ??
She has been taken off furlough, but fears her job is in the balance, as her company can't sustain this, so fingers crossed for her.

Nothing much planned today, apart from sowing more seeds.
I got a lovely surprise yesterday from my future son in law for my birthday tomorrow.
It was a massive heated propagator, as he knew I was struggling to get some of my seeds to germinate. It was such a thoughtful present. That man is definitely a keeper! grin.
I hope this lockdown ceases soon, I know living with my DD 24 hours a day is definitely hard work and I fear he may change his mind about marrying her! ?

We have had a bit of a drama here. The country lane which borders our house has a line of beautiful trees, at least one hundred years old. They are beautiful to look at.
Last week we could hear a chainsaw and when we looked, we realised that one of the trees had had at least twenty feet lopped off it.
These trees have protection orders and my neighbour went along to see what was happening. She was horrified to see that some trees, which were out of sight, had also been cut down.
The tree surgeon told her that he had been paid a lot of money by residents on a new housing development, which backs onto the lane, (which is common ground) to cut the trees down, because the didn't like them behind their gardens.
While my neighbour was talking to the tree surgeon a man shouted over his fence, demanding that even more be chopped off!!
My neighbour ( a force to be reckoned with) told the tree surgeon she was going to chain herself to the tree, if he made one more cut!

The local council planning department, local councillor and the police became involved. Apparently now, the people responsible are going to face prosecution for defying the order and not contacting the local authority for permission.
The trees aren't even on their land. The arrogance of these people astounds me. ? It is going to be a very expensive business for them.

Wishing everyone the best day you can have, especially all those who are struggling physically and mentally.
Good luck with your battle today, Gilly.

Sark Wed 13-May-20 07:45:47

Gillybob??confused
Urmstongran grin my excuse is everyone loves a cuddly Grandma!!

NannyJan53 Wed 13-May-20 07:47:39

Good Morning from a dull and cloudy Black Country.

Spent a portion of yesterday afternoon, up step ladders cleaning the garage doors and the UvPC surrounds. Parts of it were green!! Looks like new now smile

Today I have arranged a video call with two friends for 11am One lives in Shropshire, the other moved from there to Lincolnshire almost 3 years ago. The last time we were all together was last November.

I love Oxford too, we were last there 2 years ago, and planned to go again this year.

Urmston it's a no brainer for me. I would keep the Toblerone smile

Wishing you all the best day possible.

kittylester Wed 13-May-20 07:50:35

Morning all from a brightish North Leicestershire.

Hoovering today and thinking about having our cleaner back. I wouldn't like anyone to come into the house nfk but the garden is lovely which is very sad as we were working towards the village Open Garden event which wont happen now.

Thinking of gilly and anyone with struggles.

And, welcoming all newbies after Lara's tv appearance.

Take care everyone.

NannyJan53 Wed 13-May-20 07:51:57

Gilly flowers here is the place to offload, do not worry about a few delicate eyes!

ninathenana Wed 13-May-20 07:54:30

Good morning from sunshine Kent. Clear blue sky here but a bit chilly.
This years fox cubs showed up for the first time at dusk yesterday. There are 3 this year.
I will pick himself up from the supermarket when he calls and then take him to his gardening job.
Nothing planned other than that.
Have a good day, stay safe.
