The Old Argy Bargy Bar.....a new lease of life!

Phew, wot a nite girls. Those sailors know how to party.
Time for me to don my marigolds and clean up in time for us to serve the lunchtime crowd.

So I have chosen ...............Cowboy nite barn dance. Yeehaa!!
Line dancing, cowboy hats, beer spurs and Stetsons.
The local farmer has promised to deliver some hay bales for us to have in the yard and a stallion or two for us to try out........I’m hoping we might get some horses too ?

We made a ton of loot last night ... well done peeps.

Meanwhile ( back at the ranch) there is mucho cleaning up to be done.I tackled the loos this morning and went a bit green around the gills? but they are all gleaming like new now, in fact you could eat your dinner off those toilet lids.?
Do you know, I don’t remember much about last night, I know we did the conga down to the docks, but after that it’s all a blur until I woke up at eight bells in a hammock. Very
strange.

Ok perhaps carillion could choose the next nite after my Western Yee ha! Goodness knows what she’ll come up with ?

I've bleached the bar lemon, there were plenty of footprints on it oddly ?. A few more dabs with my feather duster and I'm done.

Just woken up, been helping the French sailors to shiver their timbers...sorry I missed the cleaning up ??

Carillion You have to be joking. The so-called Magnificent seven were taken away by men in white coats. They were talking jibberish and wandering around in ever decreasing circles. I believe I heard one muttering Doodle's name in between giggling and a whole lot of spluttering. When next I bump into her, I shall take her into a quiet corner and ask a few highly sensitive questions.

Soop will you put your mind to baked offerings( as opposed to burnt offerings) that have a Western type theme? Beans of course, but what else? Bacon sarnies? Sourdough rolls?
I shall order one of those bucking broncos that go up and down and around at amazing speeds that we can all have a go on? that’ll be fun.Line dancing of course and barn dancing.
Have a think about costumes everyone, I shall come as Belle of the Argy Saloon.

Big Jim says he will come as Crazy Horse, Thor as Wild Bill Hickok and Kev as Annie Oakley ( got my doubts about Kev!)

I must apologise Lemongrove. I promised to clean the Argy a while back and I only got as far as polishing one table. I didn't do the men's loos as I know everyone wants that job.

I got a bit sidetracked and have been propping up the bar. A worthwhile job I think.

Only worthwhile for you though AGA....how about paying for those drinks?!
I’ve left the Mr Sheen and Flash wipes out for you, those tables still need doing.

I will get to work as soon as I have finished these few (five) drinks.

Ah, yes, that old line....well have to tell you that the Admiral never carries cash, or a credit/debit card, so you may have to stay and do a lot of washing up AGA to pay your debts.
Alternatively.....you can set up a slate, as he does and pay monthly?

I’m coming as Calamity Jane complete with pop gun, chaps and spurs. I will arrive on horseback and my trusty steed with be tethered to the rail outside the bar . The Admiral is coming as my trusty steed. He’s not keen on spending the night there tethered to the rail and he’s and even less keen on having a saddle on his back but I’ve promised him a pint later if he behaves (or a good whipping ?)
Oh lemon I want a go on that bucking bronco. I’ve always wanted to do that. We should have a competition to see who can stay on longest without spilling their drink.

AGA is that you still leaning on the bar, you’ve been there so long now there are cobwebs on your shoes. ?

(I’ll need to ply her with some Welsh Vineyard vino so I can sneak the dress out of her wardrobe)

And I’m going to drink whisky sour or poteen
(I’ll need to distract soop so I can raid the cocktail larder)

Doodle. Lemon made me clean the tables so I have dusted off the cobwebs. The spiders were very annoyed as they were enjoying their time in the Argy.

carillion I’ve brought in my reinforced bra for you. It’s clean (ish) don’t shoot anyone in the foot, my bra has a hair trigger ?

At last! AGA but remember in future ‘procrastination is the thief of time’ .....tables don’t clean themselves.Besides I have far too much to do, running a bar isn’t easy tha knows.
By the time I have checked round, ordered the booze, kept an eye on lazy staff ( naming no names) heated up all Soops burnt offerings, made a few phone calls, totted up the cash etc
It’s almost lunchtime! My afternoons are devoted to napping behind the bar, am often mistaken by Thor for a footstool.

So....to re-cap, bucking bronco is ordered and will arrive Friday morning,,so will USA flag bunting, karaoke equipment,
Crates of Bud, hamburgers and various costumes for us to wear.
Although must say am excited already, I shall turn a few heads ( and maybe stomaches) dressed as Belle the saloon owner ( the Admiral says he’s dying to give me a clang).
I shall have a dainty derringer tucked down my cleavage, and another in my stocking top, in case the customers get a bit frisky.
