DH had a letter to post yesterday so I went out with him in the car and we drove along the seafront, so many cars and people in queues for fish and chips. It really did look like a summer bank holiday.
Morrison's delivery due between 10 and 11pm tonight, we have had some interesting substitutes.

Should have been setting off to a wedding in Germany today. ? Oh well, so many of us in a similar situation.

We’ve got a hedgehog visiting our garden each night. DH set up a camera, and it showed him/her several times through the night over several nights. Camera was set up again last night so I’m hoping he will be there again. The regular cat visitor was around, too, several times but not at the same time. Hunting for mice, I suspect, tho the camera didn’t pick any up.

Morning from S. Lincs, cold and sunny. Harrigran you should have told your personal banker to ring gillybob and do something useful. Meanwhile here’s hoping gillybob is planning her revenge and researching which bank to switch to when all this is over.
I gave up on high street banking 40 years ago when they used to charge a fortune if you went even 25p overdrawn. Nationwide for me!
My only plan today is to re-pot a couple of supermarket herbs (basil and coriander) as they’re growing away. Usually they don’t last but I read somewhere (probably on GN) that if you take out most of the contents and just leave one or two, they will. And it works.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is shining and yesterday’s enervating wind has dropped this morning, but the heating is on as it is, for the moment, perishing. We are planning a short walk, but my personal shopper (aka son in law) is bringing groceries at some point, so I’ll have to make sure we are at home. We finished our big spring clean yesterday; found a sat nav on top of the wall unit in the dining room! Haven’t needed it for the last two cars so it shows you how often it gets cleaned up there?! Not much else on the agenda today.
Happy Birthday Marydoll, you spring chicken, you!???. Wish I was 65 again!

GabriellaG54 I lived in Woking as a child and love that part of the world, there was a walk along the river/canal bank (sorry it's a hazy memory) that I used to take our dogs along it was always so peaceful.

Kate54, reminding me of supermarket pots of herbs, I bought a withered looking mint plant a couple of years ago, for 30p and I now have healthy stems which I was able to strip the leaves off and make/chop for mint sauce at the weekend. It beats all your bottled stuff.

Good morning all from west yorkshire. A frosty start at 6.00am but the sun is out so hopefully a lovely day. It could be a gardening day or maybe some knitting the world's my oyster.. Seeing I won't be seeing the grandchildren.

Housework and gardening today. I am feeling a bit jaded in week 7 of shielding. I had an email from Barts Hospital yesterday reminding me (in case I have forgotten) that I cannot go out of the house until 30th June, but I can open a window!

I have been going out into our secluded back garden ... otherwise I think I would be considerably more jaded.
