Good Morning Everyone,
Its a sunny start here in Brackley this morning, supposed to be a nice warm day in this part of the country as well.
Mid week shop , and get in que for the 8 opening.
return home some TV ,and some housework.
I am hoping that things in general will improve ,and slowly get back to some sort of normality.
Take care
Mick

Good morning Mick and everyone.

Phew, what a hot night. We had the fan on and kicked the duvet off but I still woke up perspiring. Am now sitting cooling down on the patio.
Himself has a B12 injection at 8.40 then I will take him to his gardening job.
Stay safe everyone.

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s a misty start. I can’t even see the river let alone over the other side.

Weeding planned for this morning at the end of the garden. If all that gets done then my garden will be just light maintenance. I’ll then be able to get on with some diy jobs that I’d like to do.

Good wishes to you all and stay safe ?

Bellasnana Wed 20-May-20 06:27:49

Good morning everyone from Malta where the weather looks clear and the temp is expected to reach 26°C later on.

I’ve a sad task to carry out today. My friend’s husband died three weeks ago and today his body is being flown to the UK for cremation so I am taking my friend to see him leave.

She is fighting cancer for the second time so this current situation is just brutal. Her family in the UK can’t be with her and she is very fragile indeed.

Hope you all have the best day possible.[subshine]

Bellasnana Wed 20-May-20 06:28:48

Oops! That should be sunshine

Scentia Wed 20-May-20 06:36:01

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire, oh we are in for a beautiful day today. Haven’t been on for a few days so need to read later and catch up.
Off to meet DD at garden centre this morning, then we will have a SD picnic somewhere.
She called me last night all worried as she hasn’t had morning sickness yet and she is worried something is wrong. I said once you have had my picnic you may feel sick as I have lots of cakes!!
I need so much from the garden centre I am now willing to face the inevitable queue to get in.
A 104 year old lady has just been discharged from our local hospital after recovering from CV19 more positive stuff like this is needed in the news now. I have stopped watching the news and just wait for important updates from my DH?
Not up to date with ‘Barclaygate’ so hope gilly has it sorted now.
Take care everyone and stay safe and alert❤️

dragonfly46 Wed 20-May-20 06:39:48

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.

So sorry to hear about your friend Bellasnana what Asda situation.

I have woken up with very painful legs this morning. Just been reading that muscle pain is a sign of Covid but I am hoping it is a side effect of the pills I am on.

Stay safe everyone.

Pantglas2 Wed 20-May-20 06:40:18

Morning everyone from a sunny north Wales where I’ve just read Beechnut second paragraph as ‘Wedding planned this morning at the bottom of the garden’.......and thought, oooh how lovely!

Might have a pedicure and repaint my toenails this morning although I’m running low on varnish. Miss wandering around Boots dropping jewel colours into my basket!

Stay safe and well everyone x

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Not very often I am up so early - I won’t make a habit of it! The sun is shining in South Yorkshire and it’s going to be a hot one so we won’t be going very far today. DD is bringing groceries later, and she is going to distance in our garden with us. I haven’t seen her “in the flesh” since Easter Sunday, so it will be a real treat for us. Bellasnana what an awful time for your friend, and, of course, for you??. Stay safe and get the suncream on, everyone.

grandMattie Wed 20-May-20 06:43:26

Yes, nina, hot ? night. Even hotter day in prospect.
Going on my once a week “jaunt” to the supermarket. Small things...
Painting is going well. Appalled at the shoddy workmanship the previous owner accepted.
Scentia, Reassure your daughter that I had three; never had morning sickness or (to my sorrow) any cravings.

kezia Wed 20-May-20 06:53:46

Morning from a gloriously sunny East Devon.
First sea swim since the start of lockdown, yesterday smile . It was fabulous. Back again this evening, I should think.
Stay safe everyone.

Nannytopsy Wed 20-May-20 06:54:01

Good morning Mick and all his followers. I am not sure you will be back to normal any time soon, Mick.
I think today will be too hot for gardening, so some indoor jobs then a seat in the shade with a book.
Scentia I didn’t have morning sickness with my two, thankfully.
Enjoy your day if you can.

Urmstongran Wed 20-May-20 06:56:05

Sun’s up here too! ?
Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s another beautiful start to the day ?

I started a new book yesterday on my Kindle called ‘The Familiars’ by Stacey Halls. It’s set in 17th century Lancashire and is about the Pendle witches and trial at Lancaster assizes. ?‍♀️ I’m already a third of the way through it! It’s our book club read and I will post my review on line next month as I don’t do Zoom - for reasons plus the WiFi signal is rubbish. Usually book club meets are in a local wine bar at home! I started the club 14y ago with my friend.

Pork steaks with tomatoes and onions in the slow cooker today. My neighbour read mushrooms are supposed to be good for helping your immune system against C-19 and she is always extra pleased when I fry some up as a side veg on her plate - as I intend doing today. I will be passing her a crisp G&T at 5pm first as usual!

We are running low on suncream! Will have to buy some at the farmacia soon.

Hope Wednesday (already?) is kind to us all. Keep safe everyone that’s the main thing. x

Good morning Mick and early birds from a very sunny morning in Cheshire. What wonderful news to waken up to that Captain Tom is to be knighted! About time it was someone other than celebs.

Sorry to read about your friend Bellasnana. That is harsh on top of her cancer battle. Thankfully she has you for a friend. dragonfly do you think your leg pains may just be because you haven't been able to get out and about as you normally would? I know I've been sitting for far too long these past weeks. Do you have some Epsom salts? A soak in the bath may help. Take care of yourself.

It's a stunning start to the day and I'm going to enjoy it, first in the woods, then in the garden. I normally buy plants from a small business not too far away and the garden looks bare without hanging baskets and pots. That will be my first drive out, but I think it will be busy on such a glorious day. I can wait. I've waited this long.

Have a good day and stay safe. flowers for all. x

Urmstongran Wed 20-May-20 07:01:50

Bellasnana I cannot imagine the distress your poor friend is having to bear. It is beyond awful. It’s good she has you to lean on right now, bless you.

dragonfly hope it’s not C-19. You have been super careful so it must be very unlikely. I do hope it’s ‘just’ side effects from your meds.

Justwidowed Wed 20-May-20 07:24:09

Morning everyone, early today after another sleepless night.Am thinking of going back on sleeping pills, not that they always work.
Nothing exciting planned for today apart from usual Wednesday baking. Will probably sit and enjoy the sunshine later.
Hope everyone has a good day.

brook2704 Wed 20-May-20 07:27:36

Good morning all from Inverness. It’s warm and a bit cloudy but we’ve definitely been promised some sunshine later ?

What a sad situation for your friend Bellasnana ❤️?

dragonfly hope your leg pain eases soon - please take care

I should have been on the flight down to Luton today to stay with DD1 and family. She had treated us to some Chelsea Flower Show tickets at Christmas. We were so much looking forward to going together to the show tomorrow. Ah well hopefully next year ! ....

I hope everyone has the best day they can and enjoys the sunshine.

Take care everyone and special hugs to everyone facing extra worries and struggles ?

NfkDumpling Wed 20-May-20 07:40:53

Morning All

A wonderful summer’s morning here in the north of Norfolk and we’re intending to abscond, take a picnic and take our little boat out for a bit of Extreme Social Isolating in the middle of a Broad. Hopefully the engine starts.

I agree with you Scentia we need more news like that.

Virtual group (((hug))) to all. So many need it right now.

Grammaretto Wed 20-May-20 07:44:27

Good morning everyone from the Bonnie Scottish Borders.
Sun's out, birds singing, no drone of traffic, no vapour trails it's surely a perfect day for a wedding or weeding.
I'll be nurse to DH and try to cook something with the odd assortment of food in our delivery. There are mushrooms Urmston so it looks healthy.

Have a happy day if you can.

cornergran Wed 20-May-20 07:45:50

Morning Mick, morning All from a very misty corner of Somerset. Laundry to hang out when I can see the line. No tasks on the agenda today, hope for a walk on the beach followed by some time in the garden. How hard for your friend bellasnanna, I’m so sorry. Rest today dragonfly, you’ve been so cautious, surely you’re more likely to be experiencing side effects from your medication but I can understand the worry. Be gentle with yourselves everyone, new challenges for us all.

Elizabeth1 Wed 20-May-20 07:51:11

bellasnana I’ll be thinking of your friend today I was watching a beautiful service yesterday on the tv where the undertaker said a few meaningful words during a service to someone she didn’t know she said these words with conviction as if she did know the deceased saying everything there was to say as if she knew the person she even had a quiet tear it all looked very genuine hats off to the female undertaker for giving value to the deceased life as is deserved flowers

grannysyb Wed 20-May-20 07:53:21

Good morning all from night and sunny Teddington. Up early, and now sitting in the queue for the tip with a car full of garden waste from the allotment! Hope Gillybob gets better news today. Have a good day everyone.

Gingster Wed 20-May-20 07:57:12

Another beautiful start to the day her on the Suffolk coast. The forecast isn’t too good for tomorrow , thundery showers. So we must make the most of today.

What a sad day you have ahead of you Bellasnanna. You must be such a comfort to your friend. ?. Hope all goes to plan.

We had our two neighbours In the garden yesterday for a cuppa and ended up breaking open the Pimms we had from last year. It was just right in the sunshine and had a jolly couple of hours.

My DIL reminded me it was the Bank Holiday this weekend, I thought it was the following one. I wonder how busy the roads, beaches and parks will be?

Breakfast in the garden I think and then a walk along the beach with DH and little pooch, back for coffee and Bargain Hunt, start a very thick book that my neighbour has passed to me and water the veg patch. Left over sausage plait, new pots and salad for tea.

Have a gentle day. ♥️?

Brunette10 Wed 20-May-20 07:58:55

Good Morning from a dull Fife but hoping it's going to turn out a nice day. Firstly, sorry to hear about your friend Bellasnana, how truly awful for the family. Had difficulty sleeping again last night although my day yesterday was quite busy, not sure why I'm not sleeping. Today have some ironing to do and tidying up and hopefully will get outside to potter. I see Captain Tom has been knighted - hooray - well deserved. Hope everyone has a good day - keep your chin up.

Urmstongran Wed 20-May-20 08:01:40

Ooh Gingster your tea sounds delicious! I always think what everyone’s having sounds nicer than what I plan ha!
