Good Morning Everyone,
Its a sunny start here in Brackley this morning, supposed to be a nice warm day in this part of the country as well.
Mid week shop , and get in que for the 8 opening.
return home some TV ,and some housework.
I am hoping that things in general will improve ,and slowly get back to some sort of normality.
Take care
Mick

Beautiful morning here in Oxfordshire.
Finishing work a bit early to meet DD for a walk which will be lovely.
I love boats - enjoy your trip NFkdumpling ...gorgeous day for it.
Had a bit of a near miss last year on a canal boat last year...
Sil said to wait on the bank but me thinking I was an agile 20 year old decided to go for it...so one leg on the bank and one leg on the boat as it was moving away!
Luckily Sil is a strong chap and hauled me in so only a wet leg and lots of bruises!
Had many laughs about it!
Justwidowed hope you have a restful day
Enjoy thesunshine and best wishes to all

Sitting in the middle of the Norfolk Broads sound idyllic Nfk Dumpling.

Good morning from the NE coast where we have a lovely bright and sunny start to Wednesday, which makes a change after all the gloomy weather we have had .

I read “The Familiars” a few months back Urms and really enjoyed it. Very different to what I would normally read but it prompted me to want to find out more about the Pendle Witches and the assizes . I think it might’ve made quite a good period style drama actually .

So sad for your friend Having to say a final goodbye to her husband at the airport Bellasnana . How kind that you are there to support her though flowers

Had to laugh at the prospect of your pregnant DD being sick from overeating your cakes Scentia grin I hope you have the most lovely picnic.

Enjoy messing about on the river (well the Broads) Nfk happy memories of the Norfolk Broads from my childhood When we had many great holidays in and around Great Yarmouth smile

I hope you are okay dragonfly and the leg pain eases over the course of the day . Maybe (as you say) it could be a side effect of the medication . My DH gets leg pains from one of his meds. Such worrying times .

Barclaygate rubbles on Scentia expecting a call today which hopefully might see an end to it all . Apparently something doesn’t match up and a KYC (know your customer) alert has been flagged. The song “if you don’t know me by now” springs to mind . I’ve only been with them 26 years so early days I guess. [sarcasm intended] .

Have a good Wednesday everyone . Stay safe and well.

Love Gillybob xx

Good morning from Hampshire. It's sunny again.
I am meeting my dear friend today in her large garden near Salisbury. We will have a packed lunch picnic and a good chat. We usually meet every three weeks for lunch and a long walk at Hilliers gardens or at the NT at nearby Mottisfont.

It's been ages since we were face to face, so looking forward to it.....no hugs I promise.

Marydoll Wed 20-May-20 08:10:37

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, but the sun is peeping through.

Bellasnana, what a lovely friend you are. ?

I too have terrible leg and wrist pain, Dragonfly, in my case it's my RA. I'm sure it must be to do with your medication. I hope it improves.
I have hardly slept a wink, it's as if someone is pushing red hot pokers up my wrist and leg. There is no hope of relief, until I'm unshielded, as my new treatment would compromise my immune system even more.

The highlight of my day yesterday was my DD got me three tins of condensed milk and we had fresh fish for tea!
My neighbour was out for a walk and spotted the fish van from Pittenweem on the East Coast, over two hours away.
We got the very last pieces and I made fish suppers. What a treat, it was so fresh, it was falling apart!
Simple things bring such joy just now.

brook, what a disappointment for you and your family. I would love to go to the Chelsea Flower Show.
My son and his family should have been in Portugal this week for a much needed break.

An easy day for me, just pottering about. I may have to bake, the tins are empty.

Take care everyone and enjoy the sunshine.

Gingster Wed 20-May-20 08:11:14

Yes me too Urmstongran. When we eat out I always look at e everyone else’s meal and think ‘why didn’t I order that’? ?

Gingster Wed 20-May-20 08:12:36

Help please anyone . How do I emphasise words when I type my post?

Puzzler61 Wed 20-May-20 08:15:09

Good Morning Mick and All from misty Worcs.
Yesterday’s trip out for bedding plants was successful and I spent all afternoon popping them into pots and borders while the birds sang. I completed forgot about Covid-19 for a few hours.
Lots of watering to keep up with as the temperature is set to rise to 26 degrees for next couple of days.
Sainsbury’s delivery this evening - after baked salmon, ratatouille and cous cous for tea. It’s the last bag of ratouille in the freezer so I need to make more soon.
Bellasnana your day is such a sad one, your poor friend! There are few words to comfort her but your kindness and support will be invaluable.
Hoping people with health and others struggles find the strength to keep fighting and find some bright spots in today. ?

Good Morning from a glorious sunny Black Country. Yesterday was lovely and hot too. I spent most of the afternoon sitting in the shade with my book.

Making the most of the good weather so having a BBQ tonight. Just the two of us though!

I agree with Nannytospy , going back to normal is not going to happen any time soon Mick sadly.

Bellasnanna so sad for your friend and the terrible time she is going through. It is good that you are there for her flowers

Wishing you all the best day possible,

Marydoll Wed 20-May-20 08:17:11

If you are writing a username, put a * before and after the words, no spaces.
If you want italics, it's ^ at the beginning and end of the words.
Imagine they are like brackets, hugging the word!

NannyJan53 Wed 20-May-20 08:17:33

Gingster you put an asterisk before and after the word. *

Ooh Mary the fish sounds delightful.
When we lived in Holland I went to the market every Friday and bought plaice ( which were so small they shouldn’t have left their mothers) and prawns almost straight off the boat. Delicious!

I am the same Urmston - other people’s food always seems more appetising.

Lins1066 Wed 20-May-20 08:19:22

Good Morning Mick and all from the S Welsh coast. It is a bright start here. Went for a walk down to the beach last evening , the tide was in and it was none too warm. Our DD should have been on safari in the Kruger National Park this week, such holidays will be out of the question for a long time I think.
Our Asda delivery included two 1kg bags of McD...... self raising flour yesterday, the first I've been able to get since lockdown. Now I can't decide what to bake!
No one is allowed to take their boat out here Nfk, enjoy your trip, wish I could come too.
So sorry about your friend Bellasnanna.
Take it easy dragonfly.
Stay safe everyone.

kittylester Wed 20-May-20 08:20:16

Morning all, North Leicestershire is just as dragonfly said. Yesterday was very hot and today will be hotter I think.

I have a phone chat planned with a friend who is suffering from anxiety and off work.

Sounds as though progress is being made gilly - I hope so! We couldnt get through for ages when we tried.

Hope you feel better soon dragonfly. A sad day for your friend Bella and a difficult day for you.

Nannytopsy Wed 20-May-20 08:26:22

Gilly that sounds nearly positive! ?

Urmstongran Wed 20-May-20 08:32:01

I think you are very brave Marydoll although sadly, I appreciate you don’t have much choice in the matter. You must feel scared and worn out at times. I don’t know how you keep your spirits up and I just want to say I really do admire you.

gillybob Wed 20-May-20 08:32:35

Meant to add ....Has anyone heard from GabriellaG recently?

I miss her “glass overflowing” posts smile

Pittcity Wed 20-May-20 08:33:23

Good morning from sunny Colchester.
Hugs all round ?

Weekly online coffee meetup this morning and enjoying the sunshine in the garden this afternoon.

gillybob Wed 20-May-20 08:37:53

Just playing catch up. Sorry your joints are giving you a lot of pain Marydoll . Typical that you can’t have the treatment you need because it could put you at risk and yet you are always so cheerful and thoughtful of others problems . You make me feel ashamed of my moaning posts . flowers

Urmstongran Wed 20-May-20 08:43:49

Me too gillybob. I miss hearing about her day it was always interesting. Horse riding, running, chatting to the boatman over a tin mug of tea plus her plans for the day. If you are reading this Gabriella I hope you are alright.

I really do miss Mommawolf too. Her posts were wonderful. They always reminded me of Ma & Pa Larkin in ‘Darling Buds of May’. That tragedy still shocks me when I think on it.

Gingster Wed 20-May-20 08:50:42

Thankyou Marydoll

Marydoll Wed 20-May-20 08:50:45

Gabriella had a post deleted last week, it was a bit much, even for her.
I wonder if there were repercussions or she is just having a break.

Gingster Wed 20-May-20 08:52:26

And Nannyjan

harrigran Wed 20-May-20 08:53:11

Good morning from a dry but not yet sunny NE.
DH is going to Sainsbury's for a click and collect order, a choice of slots appeared on the website yesterday so we decided not to miss the chance. If we get the things we want we will remove them from a Morrison's order we have for the weekend, who would have thought shopping would get so complicated.

DS and family should have been off on holiday this weekend, the booking has been transferred to next year.

Thinking of you all, take care and stay safe.
