It looks as though it will be another sunny day here in Oxfordshire, same as yesterday I hope, however, we will be taking a break from the DIY today, we have a couple of deliveries due, just to keep DH busy next week, heaven knows what he will do when he’s finished.........start indoors I expect, he retires in 2 weeks time so he will need to keep occupied.

My weedin/wedding didn’t turn out lovely Pantglas. I did quite a bit then got stung by a bee from flapping my arms about. I had wondered before what the hole in the ground was. Now I know.

A day of pottering is on the cards for me.

Good morning from Malta where it is sunny and, I hope, not as windy as yesterday.

Thank you to all the lovely grans who were so kind yesterday about my friend. It was harrowing. We first went to the mortuary where my dear friend said her goodbyes, then the coffin was draped in the Scottish flag and then wrapped in plastic and sealed.

We then followed the hearse to the airport cargo bay where a fork lift truck picked up the coffin and took it away.

My friend was so dignified and stoic through it all but it was agony seeing her, so thin and frail from the ravages of cancer, and not even be able to hug her.

No plans for today. Will take it as it comes.

bella I hope today is less harrowing. Beechnut did you know that crushing an aspirin and mixing with a little water, then putting it on a bee sting stops the worst of the inflammation?
Trust today will bring you all nothing but good things.

Good morning everyone from Malaga where its the start of another gorgeous day. Himself has already set off on his walk then he will do the grocery shop for the three of us at the SuperSol. I’m on my second cuppa.

We finally ditched our duvets last night! Just slept under the duvet covers (so double thickness sheets). The warmer weather has definitely arrived.

Yesterday when Himself went out for a stroll (norty as he went out with the over 70’s but he’s 68y so he was incognito) he went up to Arroyo and said it was busting! People in masks, sat on benches, strolling, sitting at outside bars. He saw a couple - one of my LWW ladies with her husband. They are 73y, he has type 2 diabetes and they were happily drinking coffee in ‘the well’ a popular little Spanish bar on the main road!

Himself thinks we ought to go down to ‘our bar’ right outside today and support them. Juan & Maria, the owners, have been cleaning and bringing stock in since Tuesday. He is convincing me it’s fine and that they need all the business they can, as an independent concern. Am I being a wuss? We are under 70y.

It’s the ‘Real Marigold Hotel’ tonight, my favourite programme of the week.

I’m two-thirds through my new novel. You’re right gillybob it would make a fabulous costume drama! I am really enjoying it.

Good morning everyone from ?? where we are off to take the dogs for a walk whilst it’s cool enough to do so. Another hot day forecast and currently no breeze, so this will be their only chance for a bit of a romp today.

What an awful experience for your friend yesterday Bellasnanna but how wonderful that she had you there. Hope you have a much better day today.

I had the most wonderful surprise yesterday - a friend on here sent me a photo of a superb painting she has done - of one of my ? cats. I was blown away. It’s not just a likeness but his little character shines through...it’s actually him looking at me. I shall wait a while to receive the actual painting, since our rotten postal service is even more rotten at the moment - I’d be heartbroken if it was lost. I never fail to be surprised by the sheer kindness that people can show. She’s more than a star and clearly very talented.

Spent a very long time yesterday evening giving my garden a massive drink. It all looks very perky this morning.....I shall now get up and try to compete

Good morning Mick and everyone. It was a red sky at dawn and it's clouding over now in Cheshire, but the clouds are moving fast from the south. The trees in the wood are not stirring.

Sorry to read of your sad day yesterday Bella, but what a brave lady your friend is, and I'm sure she felt that bit braver just having you there. What a good friend you are!

I'm a bit like Mother Hubbard today as my food delivery is tomorrow afternoon. Last time I had to set the alarm for 5.30 for a 6.00 a.m. delivery and he was here a few minutes past. I gave him a tip as I reckon anyone who's prepared to get up and bring my supplies at that hour deserved one.

I've lost that jittery feeling I had at the beginning of lockdown when I felt I should be somewhere, doing something. Previously I was always busy and suddenly I felt aimless. Now I just take each day as it comes. A bit of this and that.

DD will call soon as she does every morning. She's anxious about DGS's school challenges. The school has been disappointing in their handling of the circumstances and piling pressure on the children with 2 weeks of exams soon, aged 11. They've told the school DS won't be doing them as he's stressed enough.

Enough of my worries! Have as good a day as possible. Stay safe, that's the important thing. for all.

Good Morning from a dull fife, I hope it will be like yesterday and turn out to be a beautiful day. Up early today thank goodness, feels like a more normal day. Have a Sains shop to collect, the usual in-house chores and then out to the garden. Bellasnana how awful for your friend yesterday, I'm sure the fact you were there for support helped a great deal, not an easy task, you did well. Hope today is good for all, take care and chin up.

High cloud here in the north of Norfolk, but the sun keeps fighting it's way through and its very pleasant in the garden. I just went to put some titbits on the bird table and a baby coal tit landed at my feet, all unconcerned, pecked around and flew off. A lovely start to the day.

Nothing planned for today other than annoying the soil in the garden.

Oo, sparrow parents have just brought their new offspring to the rose arch to show them how to harvest black fly!

Thank goodness your friend has you to support her Bellasnana. It would have been really dire for her without your support.

Good morning Mick and all on the Good Morning thread.
Mick I get a monthly magazine and look forward to the postie bringing it. Mine’s not Cycling ?‍♂️ - the last time I attempted to ride a bicycle I was wobbling all over the place!

It was a sultry night in Worcs but this morning has brought a little shower. Only a ‘few teaspoons’ of rain and not enough for the garden. The sun has just popped out now. No mist this morning.

I’ve got some machine mending to do for DD1, and some more planting. The beds need changing and DH wants me to try and adjust the over zealous attack he made on his hair with the new clippers. I did say to go easy as you can’t stick the hair back on ?‍?

Have the best day possible All, and a big ? To all who need it.
Remember it’s Mental Health Awareness week and we all need to take care of ours. ?

Just read your post Bellasnana and feel deeply moved and I don’t know the poor lady. You must be very sad.
I hope she can overcome her grief and ill health.

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire it is looking mighty fine out there today again.
I had a wonderful day yesterday, DD and I never went to the garden centre in the end as we realised it was not possible to potter and browse, we would be tutted at for not moving in quick enough ? so decided to go for a walk instead. Had a lovely walk and a picnic?. DGS found it more difficult to stay away from me so we did have a hug/cuddle in secret and sanitised ourselves after. I know I know, but my mental health has improved 10 fold since yesterday?
Today I am biking with the pooch in to the factory for a few hours, may even put in a full day. DSiL is coming over to factory to ‘borrow’ our second freezer as theirs has broken down. We won’t see that back??
Will cycle up to DFiL home and drop off a goody bag and letter to the staff. They are still virus free there (or do they are telling me!) so that is good.
Ended up sleeping on the sofa with the pooch last night as she was really anxious about something during the night. We ended up oversleeping in our huddle??

Varying our walk today and going to see if one of the many Locks is open near here on the Thames. I don’t think any boats will be cruising the river though.

Good morning all from a dull Glasgow, hopefully it will brighten up later.

After another bad night, I don't plan to do much. I have some transplanting to do, that's it.

Bellasnana how harrowing for your dear friend, what a great support you were to her. You are a lovely lady.

My neighbour messaged me yesterday to suggest a door step chat. I was out the door like a shot!
The three of us stood at the bottom of our drives and had a good gossip for an hour. Nothing juicy of course, as the other neighbours would be able to hear.
It was such a tonic

Our decimated trees have made front page news in the local newspaper.
Apparently two of the 140 year protected oaks, were completely felled to the ground!?.
The local council are persuing a prosecution against the perpetrators.

I’ve done my local walk so many times now that yesterday I decided to take my music with me via earplugs and my phone. It’s a very good job no one was around as I certainly had a very different spring in my step when my favourite songs came on ?

I think I agree with your OH Urmstongran - I’d probably carefully visit your local bar to support their business and enjoy the atmosphere??

Good morning to all. Cloudy here on the Suffolk coast. Yesterday was glorious - although misty on the horizon, It never came inland, which it often does to spoil a beautiful day.

An exciting day today. DH can drive for the first time in 4 weeks following the TIA he had. We won’t go far but it will be nice for him to get behind the wheel again. AND little pooch has a groomers appointment. She’s a cockerpoo so very curly wurly. Her last appointments were cancelled so she’s very scruffy and scraggy. Can’t wait to get her looking her best. Me, on the other hand has to remain scruffy and shaggy! ?.

Yes Mental Health Awareness Week.! There will be a lot if people suffering during this lockdown. My GD lives with her dad in a flat and was just about to sit her A levels when the virus hit. She saw her mum (my DD) every weekend and was missing her and her siblings so much, she was becoming very down. After 5 weeks they decided it would be only right for her to visit, so she goes there once a week for the day. She’s so much brighter. We have to weigh up the risk of the virus and the mental health issues of being lonely. Strangely enough she plans to take Mental Health Nursing at University.

What a day you had Bellasnanna ! Your poor friend ! It seems so cruel. You are a wonderful friend to her. ♥️

Good morning from an overcast Colchester. It may rain this morning with the sun returning later.
A trip to Lidl to stock up for the weekend and Jay's pub quiz this evening.

Good morning from the NE where it is a pleasant temperature but not bright sunshine.
Sainsbury's click and collect was brilliant, nothing missing or substituted.
Spent the afternoon in the garden yesterday, so peaceful.
I have a painful left hand and am unable to grip anything so I will not be much use today.

Sad day yesterday Bellasnana, you were a great support for your friend.

I am with you Urmston I am very concerned about how quickly we have gone from complete lockdown to meeting family, having people in our house, sitting at bars etc. I am sure there will be a second spike.
