Good Morning Everyone,
Its a grey ,wet and windy start here in Brackley this morning, my usual Friday shop.
Just up the road the Fish & Chip shop as reopened and I am tempted to get take away F & C for a change.
Popped into the bank yesterday first time for about 13 weeks , its working on a one in, one out basis.
Otherwise a usual day at home .
I did hear from usual trip and holiday operator , providing a SAE as well what Holidays I had scheduled for August .
His staff are furloughed as well, his masterplan is to either have breaks in late Autumn or 2021 , depending on the distancing as to coaches and hotels etc.
Take Care ,
Mick

Talk about coincidences*Georgesgran*, & Gillybob, I expect others are the same.
We are with EDF for gas & electricity here, they have raised our monthly payment, as we have used more, being at home more, & DH feels the cold. We are locked-in to our contract until end of September, so not much we can do.

Good morning Mick and the GM team from a grey east London.

mumofmadboys I couldn’t help smiling at your shopping list, which I thought was entirely symbolic of the lockdown. The kettle had packed up (all those lockdown cups of tea) and the tin opener stopped working (those ‘store cupboard suppers’ using up the tins from the back of the shelves).
The only addition I would make from this house, would be a new bottle opener for all the bottles of wine drunk ...

Wishing everyone a good day and ? to those who need them.

Grandmafrench, unfortunately my DH is not likely to do all the cooking when he retires. He does the weekly shop now and occasionally cooks a meal but everyday cooking, I don't that is going to happen.
There is a chance he and a friend may buy a small motor boat and potter. They both did a lot of sailing when younger.
We have plans to come to France, hopefully a week or so later this year. Next year maybe for 3 months. This has always been something we have wanted to do when he retires. Watch this space.

Good morning all from what is now a greyish sky with sunny bits at the moment in Glasgow. Rain is forecast for late afternoon apparently. We shall see as any forecast recently has been much better than predicted.

What we now term an exciting day will be a trip to our local garden centre. Also have to arrange booking my car in for a service, yet more excitement. I can hardly contain myself.?

Your description of teetering down the slope had me holding my breath Marydoll. Thankfully, your hero was there to save you?

I can now see bits of blue sky so whoever predicted today’s weather was talking pants as usual?

Have a pleasant day all and always, best wishes to those of you who have struggles to cope with. I hope too you are feeling a bit stronger today BlueSapphire and hope it’s not too long until we see you back with us?

Good Morning all, the weather in Harrogate is a bit bleak just now, but have seen a promise of better things to come! My DD brought my small GS round yesterday (he's a very small 6 year old who has Down Syndrome). She's very worried about him going to school, because he is vulnerable. He had one day at school in Lockdown but was so upset because he doesn't understand Social Distancing, and no one was able to comfort him. I think the school will have classes outdoors when the weather permits and invite him to join. It's a small school and he has many friends there. Time will tell.
