Hi all,
I bought the notebook in the picture as I liked the colour and a relative has one in a different colour and kept saying how good it was and now I don't know what to use it for and neither does she. Does anybody have any suggestions?X

Just realised I forgot to attach the photo. X

I'm not really one for writing stories. X

GD1 bought me a lovely notebook with my initial on the front for Christmas 2018, and I use it as a commonplace book. Into it go the occasional newspaper cutting, poems which have struck a chord, short pieces about what I have been doing or thinking about, the odd small picture - nothing planned and not nearly as demanding as a diary or journal. It’s about one third full now and I find it a real pleasure.

Nice notebooks are a joy and you can’t have too many!

Diary or journal describing day to day life during lockdown /coronavirus pandemic.

I have a kitchen notebook where I write shopping lists, price comparisons, quickly jotted down notes and recipes, reminders, check lists, cooking times for my own recipes - all sorts of stuff.

I wouldn't be without it.

Keep it next to the bed and write down your dreams before they disappear. I sometimes have the weirdest dreams. Recently I dreamt I was at an American baseball match (never in my life) and was trying to make an apple crumble big enough to feed everyone! WTF! shock They can make amusing reading and perhaps you could analyse what they mean?

Start a bullet journal.

Yes, Greenfinch. I've done a lockdown journal - mainly so that I could remember things like when I had phoned someone or changed the bed, etc. It helps stop the days from all being the same! I have also recorded some thoughts and facts about the pandemic as they happened so it will be interesting to look back on one day.

I love notebooks Flying ! Always have, only nowadays I use it to record important purchases, holidays, medical test results etc. I also buy a pocket diary every year, when I was working I had a diary full of work related appointments, now it's just doctor, dentist, hairdresser!

Hmm tricky one. A4 is less useful than A5 because of size. I keep a nice Moleskine notebook handy as my 'Busy Book' for jotting down lists of things that need doing, measurements, ideas generally (and I'm definitely an ideas gal)

Start a bullet journal.

What’s one of those ?

Write down 5 things every day that made you feel grateful or happy. With the date.

thanks

Thanks all! X

Flying Handbag, you could write down ideas for new threads.

You obviously enjoy starting them and they always generate lots of interest. smile
