Morning Mick and all who follow - I’m gallivanting to the beach ? this morning before it gets too busy, then some lunch, a snooze and call in Ikea for the new catalogue on the way home!

Hope Gillybob gets her order today and everyone has some good news for us - stay safe x

grandMattie Mon 20-Jul-20 06:22:33

Good morning from a sunny E Kent. The forecast is for sun but temperatures no higher than 19C, which isn’t very high. Unusually, we had rain from lunchtime to dinner time yesterday. Good gentle wetting rain.
Today nothing unusual, except that I’m giving blood. That’ll be an unusual experience in these gloved, masked, booted and super protected days. I’ve told myself I’ll stop when my donations match my age. I find it makes me very tired for several days after.
Hope today is kind to you all. Stay safe.

Good morning from a bright and sunny Essex by the sea.
Housework and washing today unfortunately, but needs must
DD2 and two DGD'S are coming for the day on Wednesday, first time I will have seen them since February. Hopefully the weather will be good.
We will probably go out for a stroll later and then sit and watch the world go by
Have a lovely day and stay safe everyone xx

Good morning all Mick and all from a cool and cloudy Glasgow. I wonder when our summer will begin.?

Day 11 of my shielding parole date! It's getting closer.?
However, I'm afraid of a second wave, when I see all those idiots holding raves and protesting about their civil liberties being denied for having to wear masks. No evidence of social distancing, it's scary!

Nothing planned today. My second treatment in hospital today has been postponed until next week, as the side effects were so severe after the first one.
Ginster, I do have RA and as you say, it is a horrible condition. People assume it just means you have painful joints, that's only a small part of it. I was forced to retire on I'll health grounds because of it.
I'm sorry to hear about your DD's partner's condition.
Treatment and diagnosis has come a long way, since I was first diagnosed thirty years ago. Fingers crossed that he gets some relief soon.

We had DGD yesterday for a few hours, what a delight! We had a baking session and she was the one issuing instructions to me on how to bake. ?
She is definitely her gran's girl! ?

It was lovely to see you posting again, Jacq10, I hope you begin to feel better.
Sending healing vibes to BlueSapphire, Dragonfly, Annsixty, who I know are probably reading this thread, and anyone else who is struggling.

Have the best day you can, everyone.

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. Looks lovely out there today, I will peg out before I go to the factory. Got a few pallets to get out and hopefully can get out of there at lunchtime.
I hope EV’s GGD birthday was a success and she got her piece of cake!!
Thinking about all our GM crew who are suffering in any way and sending them all one of my big smiles on this beautiful Monday morning???

Good morning everyone from Inverness with some grey cloud threatening rain again. Yesterday was a really mixed day with warm sunshine one minute and then raining the next. I didn’t get much done outside and had another day of not doing very much although the day passed really quickly!
I bet you’re so much looking forward to Wednesday Sar53 it’s a long time since February and I hope you all have a lovely day!
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care whatever the day brings ?

Pittcity Mon 20-Jul-20 07:02:10

Good morning from sunny Colchester.
Up early to make sandwiches as we're off to Jimmy's farm with our 3 DGS who have started the school summer holidays (even though there's been no school since March!)

Morning All

Looks like its going to be a lovely day here in the north of Norfolk.

More or less back to normal now after our escapade to the south. DH is venturing out today - on his own! He’s looking for exciting things like a new shredder. I shall enjoy my ‘empty’ morning!

Take care Everyone and I’m also sending healing vibes and support to the many GNetters who’re languishing with health problems. And that Gilly’s order is waiting for her this morning.

Urmstongran Mon 20-Jul-20 07:15:34

Sun’s up here! ?
Good morning everyone from Malaga ?

We’re off to the beach too today Pantglas! I shall start my new novel ‘White Chrysanthemums’ on my Kindle. It’s our book club read. I love book club as it encourages me to read books I might not ordinarily choose (at the moment I send my reviews on line).

Well done you grandMattie for all those blood donations I really admire all those who do it.

I echo your kind sentiments to all our missing posters Marydoll and hope Monday is good to us all. Keep safe everyone that’s the main thing. x

Morning Mick, morning All. Bright blue sky over our corner of Somerset. Should be meeting family on the beach. Wondering now as their access motorway is closed after a serious accident, someone has died, the diversion is understandably at a standstill. We can rearrange, oh so sorry someone has lost their life. Wait and see day for us at the moment. Be gentle with yourselves everyone, be careful out there.

NanKate Mon 20-Jul-20 07:17:21

Good morning Mickand All.

A sunny crisp start to the day in the New Forest.

Whilst closing the farm Gate to the cottage last night, to keep out the ponies and donkeys, I tripped backwards clung to the gate for a moment and landed on the grass. Cut my little finger badly and it took us some time to stop the bleeding, yuk. Fortunately I haven’t broken my finger but there is a great flap of skin which needs securing. DH did a great job of bandaging me up. We are off to see the pharmacist this morning to get some of those plasters that secure a wound. Don’t fancy looking at it this morning, what a sissy I am.

Off for a walk along the beach from Highcliffe to Mudeford after that with stops for coffee and lunch. Maybe a little snooze too.

Nanabanana1 Mon 20-Jul-20 07:28:37

Good morning all from a lovely sunny Torbay, shopping today, not really looking forward to it but needs must and I have my mask at the ready.
Decided to do a bit of diy today, giving a small table and chairs a makeover! wish me luck.
Have as good a day as possible every one.

Gingster Mon 20-Jul-20 07:37:36

It’s a bright good morning here in Essex. I have a friend popping round for afternoon tea and then an evening visit from my lovely girl, who I looked after from the age of 6 until she left school. Her mother had died and along with her two brothers , I was a stand-in mum for 10 years. She’s now 24 and was due to marry in May, but has been postponed until December ?. We usually get together often, but I haven’t seen her since January.

I’m looking after Gd 6 this morning whilst DD works. I think a park visit, followed by a bit of baking. So a busy day ahead. I do like a busy day. I had all the family over at the weekend, in dribs and drabs So life has suddenly turned from seeing no one to lots of lovely visits. I’m not sure about how many bubbles I should have but we only have up to 6 people at any one time. I thinks that’s right ?. Confused.com.

Have a pleasant day all and hope your finger is ok, NanKate.

Good Morning from a gloriously sunny Black Country.

Again, no real plans, but fancy a walk on the Clent Hills, which are only 15 minutes drive from here.

Ouch! That sounds painful NanKate I hope it is not too bad when you get to look!

Wishing you all a lovely and safe day.

kittylester Mon 20-Jul-20 07:49:26

Morning all from a bright and sunny North Leicestershire.

DD3 was due to come today for a garden visit today with the children but Wolfie has a temperature so it has been postponed.

We saw DD2 yesterday and had a lovely time - mostly in the garden.

Earlier last week we met DS1 for lunch outside a cafe and DD1 and her two came so all we need is a visit from DS2 and we will have had a full set.

As we gave the day free, we will try to finish the loft. Deep joy!

Ouch, kate.

Puzzler61 Mon 20-Jul-20 08:04:33

Good morning Mick and all, it’s very sunny already in Worcs.
I hope MawB ‘s Hattie dog is okay, I’ve been thinking about her all weekend. ?
NanKate your finger sounds sore.

A quiet day today, my friend is coming for lunch in the garden and we’ll have salmon and spinach quiche and salad.

I hope everyone has a good start to their week - wouldn’t it be great if gillybob pops up and says “we got the Big order”?
Fingers crossed it happens.

Take care ?

Beechnut Mon 20-Jul-20 08:05:29

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s a beautiful sunny start.

I had a lie in this morning as I woke up with a headache earlier.

My first holiday with DH who was my boyfriend then was at Highcliffe NanKate. His auntie had a static caravan there and she was very strait laced and only let us have it if we took his parents with us. Go careful with your finger.

Have you decided what you would like to do now you are on countdown Marydoll ? I have just taken down my calendar that I made for our lockdown weeks.

Enjoy your plans today everyone, sounds like they will be very special for some of you ?

Marydoll Mon 20-Jul-20 08:07:39

Beechnut, I fancy a trip to the coast. I'm nervous about going out, I just like the idea that I CAN! ?

Grandmabatty Mon 20-Jul-20 08:08:34

Good morning All. It's mainly cloudy with bits of blue and there's a slight breeze. I'm off to babysit shortly. I had a quiet Sunday. I made a gammon joint in the slow cooker and dauphinoise potatoes to go with it then strawberries with cream. I have plenty for tonight too. I'm not sure what I'll get up to with GS today. Marydoll I hope they can find a way of minimising the side effects for you. My Sil's sister has RA and it is very debilitating for her at times. Sadly her eldest daughter was diagnosed with a juvenile form at age 6. pantglas and Urmstongran I hope you have lovely beach days today. nankate that sounds really sore. It is nice to hear people catching up with family and friends. Have a good Monday.

Aldom Mon 20-Jul-20 08:13:09

Good morning Mick and everyone from Oxfordshire, where the sky is wonderfully blue and the sun is shining. Perfect weather for my friend's visit to the garden this afternoon. A friend, who is in the moderate stage of dementia came for lunch yesterday. It was a joy to see how much she enjoyed her meal. She can't remember the last time she had a Sunday lunch as she doesn't really cook these days. Thinking of all who are ill. Hoping, more than you can guess, Gillybob that your order will materialise. Stay safe and well everyone.

MellowYellow Mon 20-Jul-20 08:13:49

Hello everyone, sunny here in south Cornwall. NanKate I felt it when you described your cut. Take care, and hooray for pharmacists - I've used mine a lot. Have had an invite to meet a friend for coffee on the Pier this morning so will do that. And must pick peas at the allotment! Enjoy the day where possible everyone.

mancgirl Mon 20-Jul-20 08:16:22

Good morning from sunny Manchester. Had a pleasant drive back from Scotland yesterday. Family arrived to watch the match but no more said about that! Wash on today. Why does a short break generate so much washing? Nice to hear about grandparents and gc getting together again. Have a good day everyone. flowersfor those with cares and worries.

gillybob Mon 20-Jul-20 08:19:26

Good morning from the NE coast where we have another sunny but cool start to the day. Yesterday had the same promising start but it wasn’t long before the dark clouds took over . Monday is my first worst day of the week .

I spent most of yesterday tidying up the back garden and weeding the little postage stamp patch at the front which isn’t really big enough to do anything with . Most of my neighbours have paved theirs.

I’m off to “that place” in about half an hour where I have several emails waiting for a reply . One is from our potential customer asking more in-depth, technical questions that I am reluctant to answer without any kind of commitment .

So sorry to hear you have hurt your finger NanKate I know what you mean about not wanting to look at it . I hope it’s okay though .

Thinking of all our missing friends and hoping we all have the best Monday possible. Love Gillybob xx
