Backpack, clutch or handbag?

I've got a few different bags a Louis Vuitton handbag obvs a looky likey one, a few cross body bags and my current favourite canvas bag which only cost £6.

It can take a while to find the perfect bag, can't it? Mine is a mushroom colour and holds quite a lot. I'd never buy a designer label. Mine was just shy of £25 at TK Maxx.

I like back packs but never use one as surely they are easily opened by someone standing behind you with evil intent? Leather is lovely but too heavy for me. I have lots of bags, none of them expensive, all of them shoulder bags and some from charity shops, but my current favourite is a Mantaray one from Debenhams. It is made of peach coloured fabric with a flower pattern and is just the right size, ie not too big and not too small. I love that feeling when you buy a new bag and transfer all your stuff from the old one to the new one. I had a clear out during lockdown and got rid of quite a few to the charity shop. I have to be minimalist beause DH is definitely maximalist - never chucks out a thing.

I changed to these www.thehealthybackbag.co.uk/ a few years ago and threw away all my other bags. I have the large baglett ( holds iPhone, spectacles, small purse) and the medium size ( holds iPad etc ) . I have the sizes in leather for winter and fabric for summer. The quality is excellent and you can wear them in various ways

I have three shelves of handbags mostly Radley as I like the design and the quality so sad I’ve not used them Much this year as hardly been out but my husband says I have one for every season well probably more! Bit of a obsession really!

I was going to suggest Healthy Back Bags but I see suzie has beaten me to it. I’ve used them for years and they really make a difference.

Cross body bags are my preferred style, but I do have a backpack for when I’m out walking. All my bags are by Mia Tui as they have very useful pockets and a pouch for a bottle inside, which I need.

Father Christmas brought me a leather backpack last Christmas, lovely! It should last me ages. I also have a small cross shoulder bag I made from a charity shop dress.

NOT a bag person do not know what ladies put in their bags. I have my purse that goes everywhere but now and then I buy a bag and use this a few times then go back to my purse.

I have both bags and backpacks. The backpacks are child size and I use them when I go out walking locally. With all the different pockets and zipped compartments I can usually find things very easily. I sometimes push safety pins across the zips to stop anyone else from opening them when I'm not looking.

I only use backpacks with padded straps. I once had a handbag with straps that could be extended to use it as a backpack but when I carried a lot of things and I found the straps were digging into my back or shoulders which are not very fleshy so they felt uncomfortable.

I think heavy handbags must be bad for the posture so I have always tried to use two equally loaded bags to balance out the weight of shopping.

I will take a look at the healthy back bags website as I need another backpack that is a bit larger than child size.

Crossover bag for me. I have them in every colour.

I have arthritis of the spine and constant sciatica. I have recently bought a rucksack handbag from M & S and it's the best bag I have ever owned. Can fully recommend.

I always used cross-body until the stroke, and have loads of different colours, but find myself carrying the by the strap, so have just bought a handbag big enough to hold everything - no changing bags and it's multicoloured - cream, burgundy, and black - suit lots of outfits. Trying it from Monday, as we're going on our long postponed trip to the Gower!
