Oops! Sorry to have kept you waiting on the new doorstep. Come on in and let's celebrate our new kitchen. grin

Callistemon Tue 06-Oct-20 23:22:37

? it will be negative
There is a cold and cough doing the rounds at the moment, children sent home from school had to have tests for COVID which then proved negative.

Chewbacca Tue 06-Oct-20 23:23:07

Look after yourself lemon; the Argy will, go to pot although how will anyone notice without you. wine x 6 flowers

Lucca Wed 07-Oct-20 06:53:11

My first visit too. Just wanted to add my disapproval of the treatment of three members of GN. I can honestly say, having followed the thread in question, that there was absolutely no need.
Heart breaks for Maw and her lost baby.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 07-Oct-20 07:07:36

Popping in to say good morning kitcheners, GS stayed over last night, hence my early posting. The 5 yr old has placed his breakfast order..... scrambled eggs and spaghetti shapes (minions) followed by yoghurt and banana, so I best get a wriggle on.

I do hope Mr.Lemongrove is ok ?

Marydoll Wed 07-Oct-20 07:17:04

Just offering my condolences to Maw, what a truly awful day for her yesterday.
Bad enough dealing with sad memories on top of all the other nonsense. sad ?
Lemon, I hope all will be well with your DH.

Thank goodness for this supportive thread. Soop you are a star! ?

dragonfly46 Wed 07-Oct-20 07:25:03

I am shocked to hear of the suspension of Maw, Charley and Phoenix and sending them my best wishes.
I have not read the thread in question but I am guessing all they are guilty of is not suffering fools.
I send them my love and best wishes especially Maw as it added to your sadness.

aggie Wed 07-Oct-20 08:03:55

I read more than contribute these days , but I just want to add my good wishes to everyone affected by this debacle ???

Marydoll Wed 07-Oct-20 08:39:48

That description, debacle sums it up perfectly, aggie!

lemongrove Wed 07-Oct-20 08:59:51

Thanks to all for good wishes?
DH got his results through by email first thing this morning,
And you are right Callistemon it’s negative for Covid.
Yay! We could have just asked you instead of taking the test.?
However, he had all the symptoms, and given his age and medical conditions it was better to be safe and find out.
I now have what he has, on top of everything else ?but at least I know it’s ok.Croak, sniff.
Any carrot cake going?

dragonfly46 Wed 07-Oct-20 09:01:10

So pleased to hear your news Lemongrove. I hope you start to feel better soon. These are such worrying times.

Puzzler61 Wed 07-Oct-20 09:32:13

There is so much worry, poorliness and feeling downright cross at the injustice in our lives just now.
Sharing a tranquil picture taken in Cornwall this summer.

Please may these turbulent times pass quickly. ?

GrannyGravy13 Wed 07-Oct-20 10:29:44

Good news lemongrove. I must get off of GN and get myself to the gym!!!

Doodle Wed 07-Oct-20 11:11:24

Good news Lemon
Puzzler that’s a lovely photo.
Hope everyone has a good day. TOYA?

cornergran Wed 07-Oct-20 11:19:49

Wonderful news lemon, thank you for sharing it. TOYA.

soop Wed 07-Oct-20 11:22:20

Good morning lovely peoples. It's a trifle blustery hereabouts but I'm not complaining.

In fact, I intend to keep cool, calm and collected until our friends return to the fold and we celebrate with gusto (whoever he is).

The tennis is breathtaking. How on earth do the competitors keep up the pace. I so admire their tenacity and skill. I shall be rooting for Kitova today.

I shall return, that's a promise. smile and a virtual group hug.

Callistemon Wed 07-Oct-20 11:25:20

However, he had all the symptoms, and given his age and medical conditions it was better to be safe and find out.
Yes, it was lemongrove
Never take my word for it!
I'm glad the results were negative.

Sorry, no carrot cake but I have made a lime and courgette cake which is on the table. Please help yourselves.

Callistemon Wed 07-Oct-20 11:26:38

I intend to keep cool, calm and collected
Well done, soop smile

I shall keep repeating that to myself

Grandmabatty Wed 07-Oct-20 11:34:14

I'm suffering from hot flushes still so I can't guarantee I'll remain cool! That is a lovely photo puzzler61. I have missed the sea this year. I've been a busy bee this morning. I've moved a bookcase and dusted and hoovered behind it and sofas! What is the world coming to ?. The washing is up to date and I've cleaned the bathroom and kitchen. I was singing along merrily to Carole King and spotted my lovely neighbours looking perturbed. They thought I was trying to settle dgs for a nap. I didn't think my singing was that bad. ?. I'm now going to clean windows. I can't do it any earlier because of the sun. At least that's my excuse. Then pancakes for lunch as I have batter left from yesterday and feeding dgs. And I shall make a pot of stovies for tea. Have a good day all.

Nannytopsy Wed 07-Oct-20 13:05:12

Hello everyone.
Maw, Phoenix & Charleyg I hope you are still following this and can see how much support you have. I avoid most of the threads because of the nastiness of certain people, whose names we may not mention.
Off to take DH for a hospital appointment for his legs, at last. I shall be chauffeur, as they will probably ‘sting a bit’ when he comes out.
We managed to get some gardening done this morning - wallflowers and daffs in some beds. Still plenty left for the front garden.
TOYA

soop Wed 07-Oct-20 13:23:52

A beautiful and tranquil photo, puzzler. Thank you.

Grandmabatty Wonder woman! grin

Nannytopsy safe journey to the hospital appointment. I trust that there is plenty of parking space.
Wallflowers are top favourites of mine. My Nana always grew them in her pretty cottage garden. Such a heavenly scent and rich colours.

I've taken a five minute break from tennis umpiring. Saw a fine layer of dust. Felt guilty as sin (a convent upbringing) and did penance with a duster and a can of Pledge. wink

Puzzler61 Wed 07-Oct-20 13:35:07

Hasn’t the French tennis been a wonderful extravaganza soop that has kept us on the edge of our seats at times?
And stopped me getting meals on time or ‘moving much dust’.
Matters not, it does my soul good ?
Grandmabatty I Love Carole King’s “Tapestry” too - but know I sing off key as everyone runs off when I join in with gusto!

Puzzler61 Wed 07-Oct-20 13:40:03

Tasty cake Callistemon (had a big slice as feeling peckish) ? thank you.

annodomini Wed 07-Oct-20 13:40:09

Wallflowers! The name reminds me of the only girl left sitting out when the last dance was announced! When I was working in FE, I'd have a walk round town at lunchtime, usually passing a roundabout lavishly planted with gloriously colourful wallflowers. Later in the afternoon I'd invariably have a headache which I eventually attributed to the heavy scent of wallflowers which is very like the heavy scent of oilseed rape which also gives me a headache. They are of the same plant family!
Sending love the the 'doghouse three' and hope it won't be too long before the recent events are long forgotten. ❤️❤️❤️

soop Wed 07-Oct-20 14:00:49

anno I am already plumping up the cushions in readiness for our three friends who are taking a "wee breather". When they return, they had better bring cake. Lots of it. grin

dustyangel Wed 07-Oct-20 14:18:14

Best wishes to Maw,Phoenix and Charleygirl two of whom have sent me kind messages in the past. Seems only a couple of minutes since I was sorry for those on the norty step and I didn’t know what that was about either!
soop for the record, nothing consumed in the kitchen has any calories. Out of it is between you and your waistline. wink
