And ann,
Charleygirl sends her love and says to take special care of yourself. ?

Puzzler61 Mon 12-Oct-20 11:50:15

You must take everything very slowly ann ,
and unfortunately in this case alcohol isn’t the answer ?
Your poor stomach will be like a pin cushion after 28 days.
I’m sure your appetite will come back. It took my sister a couple of weeks after a hip replacement before she enjoyed her food.
You are doing really well, keep your chin up, it’s early days.
? ?

One thing I forgot, I have to inject the blood thinners into my stomach for a full 28 days, that did shock me.

annsixty Mon 12-Oct-20 11:36:54

Thank you all for such kind thoughts and wishes.
I shall now get on with the task of recovering and getting pain free.
Going to the loo is a painful struggle and I had to get Lauren up twice in the night but hope fully that won’t be for too long.

I have little appetite but that won’t do me any harm, I am “rather overweight “

I blame it on lack of exercise, not the food and drink.

Of course I will be relinquishing alcohol whilst I am on codeine.

Take care everyone and live the best life you can.

Good morning (empty kitchen) to all who make their way to it each day for its cosiness and friendliness.
Popping in for a ? wave to our banished friends in the DH,
and to put flowers on the table.
Have a good day all and keep safe.

Belated GW congratulations Mr and Mrs lester, you both look terrific. You obviously weren't really old enough to get married all those years ago! Glad you've felt spoiled, just as it should be 50 years is something to celebrate!
Ann great to hear you’re safely home, sleep well you’re going to need some energy for tomorrow’s exercises!

aggie Sun 11-Oct-20 22:41:33

Great to see you are home ann. So you beat me by one day !

Hellogirl1 Sun 11-Oct-20 22:38:22

That was quick Ann, please look after yourself, and take all help offered.
Aw Soop, what a gorgeous baby Toby is. Looks like his dad. I`ve just got home from daughter 2`s house, where I had a lovely cooked tea, food always tastes better when someone else does the cooking!
Kitty, the decorating is finished, the hospital bed delivered, but as the care package still isn`t in place there`s now talk of sending Lynne to a nursing home until it`s sorted, but she doesn`t want to go, just wants to come home.

Puzzler61 Sun 11-Oct-20 18:51:24

It’s always good to go home from hospital,
but please rest ann . Convalescing is important.
Accept all the help offered. ☕️ ?

cornergran Sun 11-Oct-20 18:45:40

Welcome home, ann. Wow, that was quick. Please be careful.

Toby is delightful soop. A definite aww from here.

A gentle day here today, yesterday was an all go, full of activity if wonderful day so we decided today would be a quiet one. Recovery time is sometimes needed smile

I am home and all is well, I will report more tomorrow.

soop Sun 11-Oct-20 17:47:56

Now I'm feeling all soppy. smile

Rafa is the champion. A wonderful match that kept me on the edge of my seat all afternoon. Tomorrow, no more tennis. I shall therefore be obliged to catch up with the usual household duties. I can barely contain my excitement. Not!

A fond farewell to you lovely peoples. Further good wishes to our Ann and all those of Gransplas going through a difficult time.

Until tomorrow - smile moon

Grandmabatty Sun 11-Oct-20 14:31:13

Soop he is so sweet. I'm having a quiet Sunday. Off to make peanut butter cookies and then a plum crumble.

Daisyboots what a buggeration flowers

soop Sun 11-Oct-20 13:15:17

Daisyboots I agree wholeheartedly with the response of your many friends here in the kitchen. You deserve to have full confidence in those who will determine your next course of treatment. Ask for an urgent second opinion. flowers

cornergran Sun 11-Oct-20 12:50:00

Good wishes from me too daisyboots, lack of confidence in your medical team is unacceptable. Please do request a second opinion, you deserve better treatment. flowers.

Puzzler61 Sun 11-Oct-20 12:48:40

Sorry Daisyboot, not the news you (or we) wanted to get.
You must stay determined, and push for the treatment you deserve. Sending you theses huge bunch of ?.
