My contribution to the breakout party will be llama muzzles, specially flown in from the Sahara. If they can be forced encouraged to wear them on tomorrow the benefits will be two fold. They can’t spit at Charleygirl or any other guests, and they won’t be able to bite bums which they like to do. They may be bored and leave early.

The scan results go to the oncologist. She's a lovely lady. In due course, she will inform MacS over the phone.

I've news! The secretary of the surgeon who will perform the drop-bot op' phoned this afternoon.
I'm to self isolate for two weeks starting Nov 12th. On Monday 23rd, I have a Covid test. On Wednesday 25th I go into hospital. Surgery the following day and, all being well, I should be okay to go home at the weekend.
I am relieved. I feel that at last I'm heading in the right direction. I didn't want to miss MacS's 80th birthday on the 3rd. Therefore, I'm doubly chuffed.

This is the action you have so patiently waited for and we know that your lives are going to improve now that you don't feel you're just waiting and waiting.....

We have very un-South of France unpleasant weather. Rain woke us today. Still, it stayed dry for an hour or so for a dog stripping exercise in the courtyard. Chloe now looks super smart again.

Hope all the Kitchen ladies will take extra care with alcoholic entertainment available in the Argy. Headaches and any other aches (from crazy dancing, doing the splits or sampling of dodgy vittles) must be avoided at all costs. We need to keep health and strength and accident-free for the up coming season of good cheer on the horizon.

We have had a bit of an up and down, tiring and exhausting couple of weeks but hopefully getting back to normal now.We looked after Henry today while our daughter did a speed awareness course?and the divine Miss M has come back to stay with us for five nights or so she has informed us!

... The weeks galloped by and autumn was firmly in control. My workload had intensified and I had little time to think about anything other than preparation, marking and behaviour management. I was a bit concerned about my eyes though, as I was sure sometimes I could see a flicker of black out of the corner of my eye, particularly when I was in a certain corridor. But I was so busy that I rubbed my eyes and forgot about it or put it down to stress. Then two weeks before Halloween I was working late, as usual. I left my classroom and tried to go along the usual corridor but the floor had been freshly polished and the cleaners would have had my hide if I'd stood on it! So I made a detour along the senior management corridor,carrying two bags of marking and a pile of jotters. As I reached the exit door, I realised that it was locked. I sighed and prepared to retrace my steps when all of a sudden, the handle turned and the door opened slightly. I could see the person on the other side was wearing an old fashioned academic gown. I gathered my stuff together, turned to thank them and no one was there. Both corridors were empty and silent...

Grandmabatty - just as well I don't check your posts immediately before my bedtime. I'm quite a sensitive little soul, doncha know !

Susan I cannot resist asking whether the speed awareness course has anything to do with your DD desperate to overhaul young H on the home straight - and his inability to use his brakes......

DS & DiL belatedly realised tomorrow is an INSET day - we are on child care suddenly! Trying to think of sitting down tasks tomorrow as I still have trouble with my knee.

Turned out to be a busy day after all so I will say night night.

Thought things were calming down here but no.Our daughter has been taken into hospital with some kind of infection at 1 this morning.On IV fluids and antibiotics.Luckily we have Matilda here with us.Henry is still breastfed but obviously can’t be with her.Normally would think she is in the best place but not at the moment.So worried about her.

Susan, I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles, it's been such a difficult year for you. Your poor daughter, no wonder you are so upset.
Hopefully, once she is getting the antibiotics, things will improve. You must be exhausted, but you will find the strength to get through it. That's what we mum's do.? Take care.
