Meeting long time friends for coffee and chat.

Afternoon tea with my best friend, a very belated birthday gift, but so worth the wait ?

I treated myself to some new clothes, replacement slippers - wine colour, new trousers - forest green, new pullover top - raspberry. They have all come together very nicely and now I feel ready for a cheerful winter. Just have to return the forest green corduroy trousers that did not work. I quite enjoy a trip to the post office with my mask and hand sanitiser.

This morning had my Roomba vacuum on, after a while I decided it had done enough so pressed the button to send it to base. I kept shouting at it because it went here and there not seemingly to know where 'home' was

The cat lying purring on me after a night of the runs and vomiting (trying to figure out what I ate?)
Also new bedside book “The Mitford Girls Guide to Life” for when I rejoin the land of the living...

Since lockdown I have been keeping in touch with friends and family by WhatsApp as well as calls. I have had a huge response when I sent out lighthearted memes and as a result I receive many by return.
Just having something make you smile brightens your day.

We took our three year old GD to a farm park yesterday and she got to groom a pony - her little face was a picture.

Looking at my current gladioli. I buy them every week while in season.

Having a walk in the sun followed by lunch in a local cafe with my lovely best friend, then a quick forage round the charity shop opposite where I bought bargain books for the DGS and some beautiful Christmas cards.

Removing two items from my 'to do' list. Yippee. One was fiddly but eventually achieved and the other was a bit of a five minute pathetic nonsense. Joy indeed.

Seeing my grandchildren for the first time in many weeks.

This reminded me of when my daughter was at junior school & she had her nan in the park before school started hunting for INSECTS to capture in a match box to take into class. Nan was very embarrassed when they were the only ones other than teachers to turn up on INSET day. We haven’t let them forget this & my daughter is 30 this year & also a teacher.?

My GrtGD Evie 3, today having been told not to interrupt her Mums conversation with me 5 mins later when I spoke to her Mum she turned to me and said ‘don’t speak Gaga I’m chatting to Mummy’ that’s me told then.???
