What slogan would you print on a T shirt?

We were having a discussion today about those T-shirt’s that carried political/ ethical statements.
There seems to be so much going on today that is contentious that I would find it difficult to work out what my slogan would be.
Yesterday I read that the farms that provide many of our supermarkets with avocados are no respecters of human rights.
So today mine would have to feature their workers.
I think that I will need lots of new T-shirt’s, a problem in itself.

My friend’s granddaughter had been bullied by a group and was leaving the school. At the end of the year party I was so proud of her when she wore a T shirt emblazoned with “If you can be anything...be kind.” She’s loving her new school.

^only to find it had LOVELY written in the front. Why? Just why ?^
If I wore that there would bound to be some wags who would shout 'no, you're not'!

Well exactly

Tweedle24 I also had a promotional one which read 'Cover your boobs with Snopake' (it was a typists' correcting fluid!)

Lemongrove. Yes I’m defensive ! It’s Bloody raining again and I’m a bit overweight and I miss my son. So you get the flak !!

HillyN Tue 13-Oct-20 12:58:07

I don't wear tops with writing on either BUT, if I did, it would be " Grandchildren- God's reward for not killing your kids'.

I always liked the story (I'm not sure its true!) of a woman who had some Chinese writing taken from a menu printed on her tee-shirt, only to discover that translated it read "very hot dish, very cheap"!

NonnaW Tue 13-Oct-20 13:08:31

I was given one which said “I’m wearing no socks - and matching knickers”. I never had the nerve to wear it.

Lulubelle500 Tue 13-Oct-20 13:22:01

Mine would be: Plus ca change-
Because in seven decades I've found this to be true.

Unigran4 Tue 13-Oct-20 13:28:07

"Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn!"

lizzypopbottle Tue 13-Oct-20 13:30:43

I'm with the 'no writing on my chest' crowd! ?

Lynmary Tue 13-Oct-20 13:51:37

Life's fragile - enjoy it while you can!

Nanna58 Tue 13-Oct-20 13:53:16

I have big boobs and when younger was embarrassed by them( couldn’t care less now!) but would have loved a t_shirt for my teenage self that said “ you can talk to my face too!!!!!” ??

Sheilasue Tue 13-Oct-20 14:16:48

Mine would say be kind.

GagaJo Tue 13-Oct-20 14:55:10

I would like one with 'Yes my boobs are fake. My real ones tried to kill me!'on it.

Or 'Heterosexuality isn't normal, it's just common.'

Seen them on others and love 'em.

Lettice Tue 13-Oct-20 15:32:31

"If all else fails, read the instructions"

grandmac Tue 13-Oct-20 15:34:54

Some years ago I saw one saying " when I grow up I want to be a nurse, so I can help people.....and I'll get to see lots of willies!!
As a nurse I thought it was great but knew I'd never have the courage to wear it so unfortunately didn't buy it.

I must confess to a weakness for slogan t shirts, particularly as gifts for my family in the USA. Light to send through the post.

My favourite was the one I gave my DD, with a quote from A Midsummer Night's Dream - "Though she be but little she is fierce." DD is the smallest adult in the family and very strong minded!

When I was a very young teenager, I was fond of my t shirt, bought from Private Eye, that said "I love Spotty Muldoon." He was a character created by the late, great Peter Cook. Unfortunately, no one seemed to have heard of Spotty, except my sister and I, so I got some very funny looks whenever I wore it.

What would I have on a t shirt today? Probably" If you voted Tory, it's all your fault. "

Callistemon Tue 13-Oct-20 16:39:04

I remember Spotty Muldoon, Bluecat, there was a ballad too.

For some reason my DD used to sing this if she found a teenage spot or two on her face.

Kate1949 Tue 13-Oct-20 16:47:48

The way I am these days, I'd have 'I used to think I was indecisive but now I'm not so sure'.

AGAA4 Tue 13-Oct-20 17:09:44

Mine would say ' I am immune - like Trump'

lemongrove Tue 13-Oct-20 17:18:19

Lucca

Lemongrove. Yes I’m defensive ! It’s Bloody raining again and I’m a bit overweight and I miss my son. So you get the flak !!

?
That’s a good enough slogan for your next tee Lucca

Callistemon Tue 13-Oct-20 17:34:48

I'm designing one with 'I'd rather be in Oz' emblazoned on the front
The back says 'or NZ'
I'll send you one, Lucca

Oh! I see someone got there first.

PamelaJ1 Tue 13-Oct-20 17:46:26

I’ll have one of those Callistemon.
