Myself aged 6 - I have had to resort to a hair slide for my fringe.

Don’t know her name, but some wizened old hag with no longer any fringe to cover at least some of the lines, keeps staring at me from the mirror.
I’m going to need new passport photos soon and I’m very much afraid that she’ll be shoving her way into the Asda’s photo booth.?

If anyone watches the programmes about the Royals on Channel 5, I think, on a Saturday night, Penny Junor, a Royal biographer, is often on giving her two pennorth.

Well, my hair looks like hers.

When she was young, Shirley Williams told Nancy Astor she wanted to pursue a career in politics. "Not with THAT hair you won't!"came the reply from the great lady. I have been sporting a Shirley Williams hair-style since the latest lockdown, but it's longer and shaggier than that now! No career in politics for me!

Something that has escaped from the zoo...

I was looking like Einstein until yesterday. I asked hubby to trim the back. It got shorter and shorter as he tried to even it up. Im past caring really. With a mask and a big scarf who will notice!

Trying to grow my fringe out, so have resorted to all sorts of clips and bands, but often look like Ken Dodd. Anyone going through this process could google growing out a fringe. Some great tips.

If this lockdown goes anything like last time I will go through different styles, first of all I start looking like Bernie Ecclestone, then, as I try to manage it, I begin to look a bit like Donald Trump and then, as my hair gets longer I start looking like Camilla Parker Bowles! I am so desperate to get it cut (I usually sport a grey crop) I even asked my daughter in law to use her shavers on me but she declined!

Yesterday I finally resorted to buying a hair colour to cover my ever growing grey roots, hubby said I will give you a hand as you have a lot in the back, he then proceeded to vigorously brush it on and dropped the pot all over me.
And he wonders why I usually go to the hairdressers every month ?

It’s given me the opportunity to grow my hair - something I’ve wanted to do for years, but it always got to ‘that’ stage. Now I’ve got it longer I don’t know whether to persevere when my hairdresser is back working, or go for the chop again. My fringe (more like a blind) now has to be clipped back. How does Claudia Winkelman cope with peering through that hair all the time?
