Thank you Yia it looks stunning. I don’t think I’ve ever been lucky enough to visit Bushy Park .. I’ve been to Hampton Court Palace gardens once and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I’d love to return sometime in the future!

Just a quick pop in to see how everyone is! I do wish you'd all sit still!!

Most of our children went back to school today. I think DD3 misses hers a lot as they keep Wolfie entertained while she does her work. Wolfie apparently climbed onto the windowsill today and dropped the cat out of the small top window. He announced that 'Mac want go out tide!' Mac was unperturbed and came back in through the cat flap and sat on the windowsill again. Dd shut the window!!

I put my name down on a list to get a hair appointment- sounds like progress to me!!

Isnt life odd!!

Hope all goes well on Wednesday soop and you could try chasing your dropped bot man - you want to enjoy your new chair when it comes!!

What a lovely day here in Manchester! Lucky for my friend & I as we had our planned walk this afternoon. Quite mild too. We pass a postbox that often has knitted toppers throughout the year. There was a nativity one at Christmas and a snowman scene in February when we had all that snow & ice.

Today it had an Easter theme. My friend (with a smartphone unlike me!) took this photo.

You misunderstood me GrandmaFrench as, although I’m curtailing my GN addiction, it will still be one hour at breakfast time and one hour at this part of the day - always posting on Mick’s thread and soops! They are the bestest threads and I agree, continuity is key.

I’m away to make a cuppa and then, perhaps against my better judgement on some level, I shall be settling down to watch that interview. Himself of course just says ‘pfft’!

kitty you mentioned panache in your earlier post.
Latest we heard on the lockdown thread is that they are now receiving much more help. MrP is having 2 people morning and night to take care of washing and getting him into a chair and then to put him to bed at night, plus someone during the day to tend to his medical needs. There is also someone who stays the night so that Panache can get some sleep. They have been enjoying some peaceful time together which is good news.
Hope Sam is ok N&G.

Haven't been on here for a while, have been lurking! Yia, I was startled by the photo, it's where I go for my walk most days! Bushy park is just down the the road. I'm glad that you and Mr Soop have sorted out a sofa Soop. Someone up thread was saying that they got greasy marks on the chair backs, when I re-covered DHs chair I saved a piece of matching fabric to act as an antimaccassar, (not sure about spelling!) I also made arm caps. Glad to hear that the Panaches are getting help.

Morning all.

Its not been the best couple of days here in deepest darkest Norfolk. On Sunday Sam managed to put his nose on the electric fence that keeps the free range chickens in their field , whilst out on his walk. We now know Sam is the dog equivalent of Usain Bolt!! He didn't have any after effects but Grampy needed a stiff drink to recover.

Then yesterday was operation day. Sadly the cyst is actually a tumour so we are awaiting the results for that. Because it was a tumour the wound site is double the size so they could remove it with clean margins.

We have him home now but he is wearing a fetching suit with covers him from ears to tail. He's plainly in quite a lot of pain and so far hasn't had a drink .

We'll keep trying but as 24 hours has passed if he doesn't drink of his own accord in the next couple of hours he'll have to go back for IV fluids.

So all in all , not good. But it has crystallised for us that he will not be having further operations no matter the outcome of the tests. Its not fair to him, he doesn't understand and to see him in pain is just wrong.

So fingers crossed please for the best possible outcome.

I'm off to sit with Sam for a while x

I really will pray for you all, having pets is wonderful until they are ill and we have all been there.

Oh Nannandgrampy I'm sorry to hear about poor Sam. Lots of cuddles from me. Dgs has just gone down for a nap and I'm having a breather. A cuppa and a scone I think. Later this afternoon we'll walk to the swings . Have a good day all.

Oh N&G I am so sorry. Poor Sam. It’s awful when animals are in pain. I hope he pulls through ok. Daft question, does he have any pain killers something that can help?

Popping by simply to say a warm hello to my friends in Soop`s kitchen...............a rather grey and very cool day here in Wales.

We are now recieving all manner of care,the highest quality at that and although we are greatly appreciative,of course it is such a change to our once quiet household.
However now my dear one has his pain managed and although sadly,visibly each new day introduces further challenges,he is having the best care..............and we are together.
We feel so blessed although ever mindful of how time is rushing by.

Wishing you all a peaceful day and here`s hoping life is being kind to you one and all.

N&G not quite the news you wanted to hear but that little man knows he is loved and cared for to a very high standard. I only hope the pain killers kick in and he feels like a sip or three of water because the last place he will want to see will be the vet surgery. If he knew what could be ahead he would be drinking a bucket of water. My heart goes out to that young man.

No the expected news N&G fingers crossed Sam starts to improve soon.

We shall see how he goes but it does raise the question when do we say something to the grandchildren and what do we say ? The small boys do not remember a life without their partner in crime and even the older too love him.

My instinct is to just say he is poorly and leave it at that . But it isn’t a conversation I want to have with them if he does not improve. How can I say you can’t come and say goodbye to him ?

I hope it doesn’t come to that.

Yes he has painkillers Doodle but Sam is a bit of a lightweight with pain so the vet has arranged something additional to see if that stops the crying . It’s probably one of the most pitiful sounds I have ever heard.

I’m glad you’re getting all the support you need Panache , And that you are together. That’s the important thing .

A very quick hello from me and Duncan. I'm on an all day conference call (break time!!) with Mr BA relating his upcoming retirement. Normally a 2 day course staying somewhere lovely but due to covid -- - destination our office!! Virtual hugs all around
