It was good to see Elizabeth1 and Beauregard rejoin us yesterday; the mention of Uttoxeter revived memories of my working years when Little Haywood, Staffs., was my home. It was about 10 miles from us and my DS's girlfriend lives there. My ex and I once went to the races there, too.
What adorable kittens, Jaxjacky! I bet your DGC were delighted and will have hours of fun with them. My DD1 in Australia fosters dogs and cats, both for private clients and an adoption charity. Recently she had two kittens for long term fostering from the same litter because they weren’t thriving and with which she and DGS1 fell in love. Eventually, she persuaded her long suffering DH, who is allergic to cats (!), that they should adopt them!
It sounds as if you have been very stoic about your colonoscopy, EkwaNimitee (as your name reflects!) especially when you have much to do at present with moving. Take care of yourself and I hope the medics soon have answers for you.
You raised a few smiles amongst the readers of your post about the frustrations of online form completion, Gelisajams! How annoying when you set aside time for such tasks, only to be thwarted! On the subject of forms: today is Census Day, if you haven’t already completed yours. I found the online one straightforward to do and easier than filling in by hand, I imagine.
Yesterday, I bought a takeaway coffee to enjoy with my paper on the Downs as I thought it was warm enough to sit a while. Wrong! On returning home, I felt cold for some time but it was a welcome excuse to don my cosy, fleece lined onesie! Bliss!

Off for my constitutional walk with DGS, hopefully soon it will be possible to be going to church on a Sunday morning with him and then walking to Costa for our brunch afterwards. Good times ahead.
I have been busy on my sewing machine for days trying to master eyelet curtains and thanks to our friends on here I finally did them, they are got the nursery at my DD house.

Morning all from the south coast. It's 7.0c here right now but not quite as overcast and leaden looking as yesterday. Hope we get some sunshine to brighten everything up, including me!
Census day so I aim to get busy with that and it will give a different focus to the day, which is no bad thing. I have decided that I have to stop fretting about what might happen and deal with what turns up. I've always been a worrier about "what ifs".
My trip out to get the click and collect went well - they didn't even ask my name as they recognised me, so it was a quick turn around.
Before I went though, I discovered I couldn't find my bank card which I had used on Friday morning when I called into the bakery after collecting my scrip and library book. Searched my wallet, where I keep it, my coat pocket, my bag and shopping bags, even went out and checked the car. No sign. Stomach churned and my "whatiffery" went into overdrive. What if someone had found it and had been running up lots of debt?
So I rang the bank and fortunately the last use was my bakery one. They cancelled the card and are sending me a new one. Relief! The only thing I can think is that I put it in my pocket and pulled it out with my car keys when I went back to the car and the card fell on the floor. Will probably never know. My only excuse is that I have a lot on my mind right now, but it was a salutary lesson.

Good morning all from another dry but cloudy morning in Wiltshire. Gagagran I can relate to that stomach-churning feeling when your bank card goes awol. It’ll turn up now that you’ve cancelled it for sure! I bet you enjoyed your takeaway Mick. Living out in the sticks as I do, we can’t get takeaway deliveries and my OH is a lunchtime diner, so I miss out on takeaways but always (pre-Covid) treat myself and my family to one when I stay with my sons’. Yum!
We had the last of our spring-calving herd calve yesterday. She certainly took her time as the rest of the herd finished calving a good 3 weeks ago but Shirley’s new calf is most welcome! No more new life expected on the farm now till May when the summer calving herd start.
I’m concerned about Pinchy. I changed her splints and dressings yesterday and whilst I think her legs and feet are a little straighter, the small sore she had from walking on her outer ankle isn’t healing. I’ve made her lighter splints with lollipop sticks and put antibiotic spray and aloe vera gel on the sore bit and I’ll see how it’s looks today. Really it needs the air to get to it to dry it out but if I leave it undressed and un-splinted her ankle turns back over and she’ll rub on it as she walks. I wish I could put her on bed rest for a few days!
I spent another afternoon weeding yesterday whilst listening to radio 4 and very nice it was too. I’ve attached a photo of the company I had in the garden. Not quite flamingos but rather lovely all the same!
Today I’m hoping for another weeding session once the farm jobs are done.

Good morning all from a cloudy Derbyshire. I was walking on air yesterday after receiving such a warm welcome back to this lovely thread. I'm so glad I jumped back on board.
We spent the morning gardening and preparing the greenhouse for this years sowing and growing. DH gave it a clean while I pruned various shrubs. The Hebes have suffered after such a harsh winter, so I've trimmed them back and hopefully they will recover. I took cuttings from them last summer so have replacements lined up just in case they don't survive.
Today we have a job at the field replacing fence posts. SiL will knock them in with the post knocker so we'll leave the posts out ready for him to use and shout words of encouragement from afar!
Scentia I have a pair of pencil tape curtains that I plan to change to eyelet tapes. Hopefully I'll be able to do it, but I'm not very clever with a sewing machine. I'll give it a go anyway.
Gagagran I know the awful feeling you get when a card goes missing. It will probably turn up somewhere now you've cancelled it.

Not a lot happening today, it will be the usual, reading, crocheting and dog walking with a little light housekeeping thrown in. I may force myself to get on with the ironing while listening to the Archers Omnibus.
