Cream or jam first

Sainsbury’s have upset Cornwall by showing an advert for scones with the jam on top of the cream. How do you do yours? We are not Cornish but we do put the jam on first and then the cream, it is easier and just seems right.

I have never in my life heard of braking a scone open, what is more I haven't ever seen anyone silly enough to do it. how on earth do jam and cream the crumbly bits of scone that would be scattered all over your plate.

Obviously a man who buys cheapy bread scones from cheap supermarkets.

I always break scones , never cut . As far as I knew it was the correct way to do it, and indicated that is was perfectly baked . If they don’t break open they are not worth eating smile
