Oh soop, Hattie’s portrait is amazing, you really are so talented.

Panache, so pleased that your dear man is having a pain free time after his transfusion.

Charley, my podiatrist is booked up until 20th May so a bit of a wait but will be well worth it.

Sounds like a lovely morning BladeAnnie.I remember going wedding dress shopping with my two girls. The prices had risen considerably between DD1’s trip and DD2’s which was three years later.

Matilda stayed over last night then when I took her home DD asked me to look after Henry while she took M to a party.H was very cuddly today so we had a nice quiet couple of hours, as soon as mummy came home he turned back into hurricane Henry!M has come home with me again so I will take her to her swimming lesson tomorrow then we are going to go for a walk and a picnic at Llangollen.

Have a good evening everyone and TOYA

Lovely flowers in your garden cornergran. I love the Montana clematis, the way it climbs and blooms so wantonly.

soop Hattie’s painting is magnificent. You’re a clever wee lady. ? I’m glad you enjoyed your fish meal out with friends.

Dragonfly I hope Dexter is having a good weekend pre-op?

A successful wedding dress shopping expedition BladeAnnie - all done in one trip? Amazing.
DD1 visited every wedding shop in our area and during one Sat. afternoon my car was run into on a pay+display car park causing a fair bit of damage. I remember it well although it’s hard to believe it was 10 years ago. I’m sure the cost of wedding gowns has risen since then, and your purse has taken a hit today ?
Your DD is happy and she will look beautiful on her Big Day.
As will you. That is all that matters ? .
Charleygirl I hope your feet are super comfy - you will be able to go dancing on Friday in the Argy bar ?
Wishing everyone the very best evening. ?

Beautiful painting soop

Charleygirl5 Sat 01-May-21 15:04:37

soop that is a seriously good painting of Hattie. I have just seen a photo of Rosie, resting her eyes in Maw's living room lying on a comfortable bed on the floor. It has been a traumatic week for her and she possibly does not know if she is staying in that lovely house yet full time.

I had a chiropody appointment at midday and then a trip to M&S but my lips are sealed re the latter but I refuse to pay £3.50 for a crusty loaf of bread or 75p for a single roll. I am still Scottish.

Grandmabatty Sat 01-May-21 15:00:25

That looks fantastic Soop. You are very talented.

soop Sat 01-May-21 14:45:45

Hattie Photo of the portrait on plain paper. I shall print it later on photographic paper.

soop Sat 01-May-21 14:42:33

I'm sneaking away to watch a little of this afternoon's snooker. I would like Stuart Bingham to win this particular match.

BladeAnnie Sat 01-May-21 14:41:57

Good afternoon dear kitcheners - a lovely sunny day here but a very chilly breeze. I can't believe we are already in May - 26 days till I say "I do"!! But seriously where has this year gone?? I've had a lovely morning wedding dress shopping for DD2 - her wedding was postponed from last October to September this year. The first one she tried was "the one" although she tried a couple more just to be sure. So one happy bride-to-be flowers. soop I do hope you are looking after yourself flowers. Have a pleasant rest of Saturday everyone and sending gentle virtual hugs to all who are in need of a little comfort

soop Sat 01-May-21 14:41:24

Jax Wow! Delicious coloured toe nails.

Hellogirl The harbour looked stunning in the late afternoon sunshie.
As for saying thank you. I am wishing that people would do as we were taught as young children. My first book was - Mind your P&Q's. Being polite matters.

soop Sat 01-May-21 14:35:56

Dear Pananche, having read your latest message, I feel uplifted in spirit. We all wish you both a peaceful, pleasant, pain-free escape from the frustrations and many discomforts of late. flowers

GrannyGravy grin

Lovely photographs. Thank you, corner.

Charleyg Maw emailed me. She is thrilled with Hattie's painting. I suggested that Rosie be allowed to sleep on her personal duvet in the corner of Maw's bedroom. Fair's fair. wink

The light fish meal was delicious. We were back home by 7:30. I mentioned my nauseous, bloated, belchy symptoms to our pals. Husband of which had suffered the same symptoms. It was discovered to be Helicobacter pylori. A treatable condition. As I'm seeing the GP on Tuesday for the taking of bloods, I shall discuss the possibility with him.

mrshat (((hugs)))

Panache I am so pleased your DH is still without pain, long may it last.

I hope you enjoyed your meal soop and didn't let the latest buggerations affect it.

I have been dog walking twice today and I think he would go for more if he could. Dexter's next big treat is his dinner!

Beautiful flowers Corner I love this time of year in the garden and fields around, especially the bluebell wood over the road.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Panache Sat 01-May-21 13:27:09

Greetings to you all from the shores of West Wales; hoping you are all able to enjoy another bank holiday weekend.
Weather rather mixed here, although a fair share of blue skies and some sunshine at the moment.
H owever storms forecast for monday...........

Such a pleasant change to add that my dear man is almost able to enjoy a new lease of life following his Blood tranfusion.
It really is a joy to see the smiles again.
We can but make the most of such great moments.

Thinking of you and your unpleasant problems Soop..... as always putting on a brave face, perhaps taking up your latest portrait painting has helped you along.

Whilst I am sure you are enjoying your new family addition Maw again looking forward to a playful future with your Rosie.

Love and every blessing to you all.

Nannytopsy Sat 01-May-21 12:48:31

Oh bless! We know where Rosie will spend her nights then!

Charleygirl5 Sat 01-May-21 11:12:09

After Maw had gone to bed, Rosie howled for around 90 minutes until Maw put an old duvet on her bedroom floor and both slept soundly until 6 am when it was the usual business outside, a good breakfast but she will not take her eyes off Maw. I can see Rosie howling if Maw leaves the house for any reason.

I would give Rosie less than a week before she is more comfortable on a bed and who knows- she may sleep marginally longer.

Hattie's portrait is absolutely beautiful, a work of art.

A late visit from me. It’s been a busy, productive day here. Had a good wander while our neighbour was having her hair appointment. Found a cafe we didn’t know existed and enjoyed a coffee while we waited for the hairdresser to make her magic. Accomplished far to many {boring but necessary) home things this afternoon.

I’m wondering. Does anyone know how to levitate? Our grass has been treated to weed and feed and we are asked not to walk on it for two weeks. Not sure that one is possible. We’ve a bed to clear.

Test driving yet another car tomorrow. This search would be a whole lot easier if we knew (and agreed on) what we’re looking for. I’m tired of being talked down to by car salesmen who have been alive for less than half the time I’ve been driving a car. We may not know what we do want but we are certain what we don’t want. Just wish they’d listen. Sorry, moan over.

I’ve attached some flower photos, the garden is doing its stuff with or without me.

Look after yourselves everyone, especially you soop, hope you enjoyed your meal with friends. Apologies for not commenting on individual posts, my head is too full of cotton wool to recall anything.

TOYA.

dustyangel Fri 30-Apr-21 23:02:41

Oh Urms you’ve got me fancying a mini Mars bar at this time of night. Fortunately we haven’t got any!

Jaxjacky Fri 30-Apr-21 22:21:01

Had a few drinks there GG13 and was it the Maypole? Where I remember they had an actual maypole, that was used. We rented a flat in the Edwardian terrace on the sea front, turn right at the fair. Oh, just remembered the Lifeboat pub too and a little one by the ferry. Went back years later for a Warner’s weekend, bit of a laugh!

Nannytopsy Fri 30-Apr-21 21:36:19

We are watching our rugby boys on TV. Winning at the moment but will it last?
Did you enjoy your evening soop ? Love a good fish restaurant!
I don’t think we shall have any pets after Charlie but I admit to a hankering for a lurcher or greyhound.
Enjoy your evenings and sleep tight.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 30-Apr-21 21:03:34

Jaxjacky my father owned The Yew Tree, first pub on the Island, (after my parents divorced) we have many happy memories of Hayling.

Jaxjacky Fri 30-Apr-21 20:58:07

Pantglas I’m not sure, the lady that does them just said choose a colour, I must be in there half an hour at least with in and out of the ‘curing’ thingy, a £10 bargain. Thanks Urms too.

I’d watch your back GG13 ??

mrshat Fri 30-Apr-21 20:56:51

soop Please look after yourself. Rest and pampering are in order! Enjoy your meal this evening and take things easier than you have been recently. You are a VIP! flowers

Pantglas2 Fri 30-Apr-21 20:49:03

Jaxjacky

Love Emsworth Yia I lived on Hayling Island many years ago before moving a bit West, HI lovely until summer traffic, one road in and out.
soop I hope you really enjoy your night out and Urmstongran a bit of a do to look forward to.
Toenails are done; hidden in socks until be get at least another ten degrees!
Have a gentle evening all, excuse my foot, you lot may be the only people to see the prettiness at this rate.

Wot a lovely colour Jaxjacky- what shade is that? I got mine sandal ready just before Easter and treated myself to another polish... well they don’t last more than one summer do they?

Urmstongran Fri 30-Apr-21 20:38:56

‘Evening All’.

As you know I often use my 2nd moniker of #lazygran. Today I surpassed even my low standards. I’ve stayed in my pj’s all day! And why not? It’s been chilly outside & has rained a lot today. No need for me to even peep my nose out of the door, so I didn’t. I’ve started a new book, disappeared down a rabbit hole here (politics and 2 other threads), only put fresh Pizza Express pizzas in the oven at 7pm (domestic goddess, not). Drank 2 mini Prosecco and made a phone call & received 2 which gave me a lovely long chat. I’ve had a lovely day actually.

Beautiful toes there Jax love the raspberry colour & so shiny!
Bet Maw has had a good but tiring day with her new companion. Bet soop is home now in her pj’s after a lovely meal and catch up with friends. At least YOU got dressed today soop!

Wishing everyone a peaceful night ahead. I’m off to get a mini Mars bar out of the fridge. Shh! ‘Wot diet?’ x

Doodle Fri 30-Apr-21 20:10:49

Charleygirl ? ? ?? ?
Thanks to you and Urms for the update on the delightful Rosie. Lovely photos too. So pleased.
Soop I hope you have a lovely time with your friends and enjoy your meal. ? Hello Mr Soop how are you keeping?
I’m sure Maw will love Hatties portrait. ?
Susan I too hate dentists. My last one (sadly now retired) was a lovely lady so calming. She knew how I felt and would always start by saying “breathe slowly now, in to the count of two and out to the count of three”. It helped.
Hellogirl hope you find a feline companion soon. I’m sure you would offer some lucky cat a good home.
Grannygravy grin
Have a good bank holiday weekend all ?

GrannyGravy13 Fri 30-Apr-21 18:58:53

DD dropped the GC here first thing along with a favourite white top of hers that she had a food stain on for me to remove?

I asked what she would do when I was dead?
DD replied can I have your tumble dryer...
