Good morning all from a damp Glasgow. DH is of course golfing. MOBS, lovely to see you posting. I envy your energy and and have always enjoyed hearing where you are off to.
I am only up this early, because I got a message late last night, saying the 81 year old builder plans to come very early,
to do some work. Its all go here this week, when basically I just want to curl up in bed!
Yesterday wasn't too good a day for me. I spent much of the afternoon being sick. All, at the same time, the decking materials unexpectedly arrived, the bank phoned to check that the decking transaction wasn't a fraud (pleased they are on the ball) and I had to move my car up the hill and walk down again, without a coat in a hailstorm,?❄ to allow for the decking to be delivered. (There was no hailstorm when I initially moved the car)
I did however, get some unexpected potentially good news yesterday.
I had been part of research, sponsored by BHF, involving Glasgow University and the National Specialist Heart Hospital into my heart condition, as I don't fit the usual criteria and the fact that many women have died after being sent home from hospital undiagnosed and their chest pain attributed to something unrelated to their heart. ( Initially happened to me). I was one of the lucky ones to be diagnosed by the team! Right place, right time!
I should have had an annual follow up in August, but of course Covid got in the way. I had assumed the research had been abandoned. It would have involved detailed scans etc, which wouldn't normally have been done after admission to coronary care unit in my local hospital.
Anyway, I received a letter apologising for the fact I hadn't been seen for eighteen months and they hoped to see me soon.(A day out, yippee!) I also received masses of paperwork, asking me to detail how I am faring at the moment. As I have obviously deteriorated, I'm hoping that they will pick up on that and I will get an early appointment.
Despite my own cardiologist informing me that nothing can be done for me, I have a tiny ray of hope in my heart, that the crème de la crème of cardiologists doing the research may have a some support to offer me. At the very least, I hope to get some definite answers from them, as to my prognosis.
DD wasn't planning on coming up this morning, as the Tesco delivery is small and I said I was fine, however she has decided I need some TLC and has insisted on taking charge! Heaven help my BP! ? She tried to add to my order last night and panic ensued when she triggered a fraud alert! ??. Life is certainly never dull here. ?
I haven't really been up to keeping up with things here, so I'm sending hugs and good wishes to all my GM friends, who are struggling and a warm welcome to any newcomers. There seem to be a lot of birthdays in May, my own included, so birthday greetings to any birthday people today. ????
I will come back later and catch up.
Enjoy your day everyone.
