Does anyone remember the coleslaw and Spike Milligan Story? He was on a flight somewhere and threw up into the paper sick bag. He then proceeded to eat it. It wasn’t vomit, it was coleslaw. I think the airline banned him for life.

They might be a light read, but there is nothing badly written about the Agatha Raisin books!!!

With me it's an unguilty pleasure - I love reading. I have a private library of several thousand books (many read multiple times) and generally read between 5-7 books per week.

I learned many years ago to take your pleasure where and when you find it - life is too short for anything else,.

Dear God I cannot believe that anyone would willingly put money in the pocket of that appalling Murdoch by buying his dreadful paper! After using Fox News to prop up Donald Trump (the man who pushed the 'covid hoax' conspiracy theory. Murdoch pushed ahead of everyone to get his vaccine in the UK late last year. That paper promotes all the most loathsome tensions in our society. Don't forget how hard it worked to get us into the dungheap that Brexit landed on us!

Oh... and I love Love Island.

I'm enjoying "I can see your voice" which is very trashy Saturday evening entertainment. I also enjoy Facebook, chip butties and boy/girl bands! Lol.

mrswoo, there’s always been a lot of sneering at Jeffrey Archer, because he’s not ‘literary’. However he tells a cracking good story.

I was once at a writerly conference where an author whose books sell a minute fraction of JA’s was keen to tell us how he was a mate of hers, but went on to say in that kindly pitying tone, ‘...but he can’t write’.
Sheer sour grapes.
I’m not sure that author is even published at all any more.

I love Flahavan's multi seeded porridge. Unfortunately I spoil the healthiness by burying a teaspoonful of Nutella in it to melt! I could just eat a bowl now.

Chocolate crackles, those lovely cornflake and chocolate confections. DGD always makes some for me when we see each other, may be 8 or 10 times a year. Meanwhile I never buy them or make them for myself.

I could easily eat a whole bag of Pontefract Cakes, but I haven’t seen any for ages. Maybe I need to look harder....

GillT57 I buy Take a Break every week. I often don't read the editorial, I buy it for the crossword and quizzes.

My secret eating vice is Pot Nooodles, - but only the curry flavour... I just love it. And peanut butter,- although I've recently discovered Nutella and now that's the one I raid late at night.
There's a spoof horror film called Tremors with Kevin Bacon and it's trashy but hilarious. And the film "Bridesmaids".

I have to admit to loving Celebrity Big Brother. Didn’t watch the ordinary one but the celebrity one was a hoot. Plying them with alcohol so their real selves emerged. I loved it. Bring it back.

I ate a chicken and my King Pot Noodle in bed last night. Lush.

I've recently discovered Idaho instant mashed potato in a pot. Very nice.

I'm a big fan of kettle cuisine, especially as I have a kettle in my bedroom.
