I can't compete with any of yours' cuisine, but I do have a stategy up my sleeve...
Talking of strategies - do you remember the woman who had her entire menu delivered courtesy of a local restaurant through her kitchen window?

Fanny My strategy is prep in advance and have fool proof recipes.
I have 3 freezers!
Soups are so easy and freeze well as do sauces.
So although it might sound fancy it really isn’t, if most of the food is prepped or frozen then it’s really easy.
The most important part of any dinner/lunch party is making everyone feel welcome and at ease.

I would start with a prawn salad topped with smoked salmon whispers with home grown salad leaves and dressing. It’s an old fashioned recipe but always delicious especially on a sunny day.
Main would be my take on Steins Spanish style grilled Hake Piperade with home grown mixed salad leaves and my new potatoes with mint.
Dessert would be either Auntieflos lemon pudding or lemon posset both a lovely end to a fish main.
I would serve Rose Cava and San Miguel throughout the meal.

Forgot to say no entertainment our dining room is full of family photos. We would discuss our DS and DD who we love so much and reminisce about them growing up. Now we have three beautiful GD who make us so proud too.

If I were forced to take part in Come Dine with Me I would offer Sago a large financial reward to pass her dishes through my kitchen window.
For entertainment I would invite a group of gramingos dressed in pink feathers to dance a cancan if they can.
I would also make sure my dressing table drawers were full of interesting items with good shock value.
