Jax nothing like a sprinkle of chopped herbs on a boiled egg which is the level of my culinary skill.

Good morning, Mick and All from the sunny sunny north. A gentle breeze moderates the heat from the sun which is rather fierce.
I had a bit of an alarm yesterday evening on going out on my patio to collect my washing in. Alerted by loud buzzing, I turned to see a small swarm of bees investigating the roof over my kitchen bay window. They were honeybees probably with a new queen and hunting for a suitable residence. Not just above my patio, no! They keep the same nest year after year too. I had visions of having to have the little roof dismantled so they could be removed but fortunately after about half an hour, they moved on.
Currently catching up on some boring admin and planning my next move on expenditure on more necessities for the new pad. Moving house is definitely an expensive exercise.
Off to prep lunch and have a break reading my new book.

I’m late again! What a busy thread today. Lovely to see Lauranorder back, sunshine and happy families in Leicestershire and Maw gearing up for a day out. It must be warm down your way GF! I should be gardening but it’s hot and my feet have swollen up. I am sitting with them up for a while before I find a shady spot which needs weeding.
I hope the day is kind to everyone.

I didn’t leave Rufus, I just took a little break during May, to see if I could. It was tough and I’m glad to be back.
I did join another forum when we all objected to a bit of unfairness, some time ago, they made me very welcome, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as this one because I feel as though I’ve made some very good friends here. I am thrilled though that common sense prevailed and Maw is back.
