Good morning all from sunny Harrogate. Lovely photos Ashcombe. Today I’ll get more washing done - strike while the iron’s hot!! Lovely to get yesterday’s washed curtains repaired and hung up - they look so much fresher. This better weather seems to have given me my mojo back! It was good to meet a lady we’ve often chatted to when out walking the dog, I decided it was time we introduced ourselves. I get the impression she’s quite lonely ?.
Tomorrow we have dgs to look after for the day - he’s such a little character.
Hope to come back to read what you have been up to. Meantime have the best day you can!

Morning Mick, morning All. A clear blue sky over our corner of Somerset.

We did venture forth yesterday and had a truly enjoyable day in spite of a couple of traffic holdups. Felt for the folk causing the return journey jam, their car had broken down in the middle lane of a motorway, must have been terrifying. A mix of browsing a couple of shops, a walk round a very pretty lake and several family hours including a very enjoyable BBQ made for an enjoyable day.

We’re staying put today catching up on some admin, cleaning and if the visit from the washing machine engineer proves positive there will be laundry. Also hoping for some positive news of a friend who broke his hip last week, in his late 80’s he didn’t bounce too well.

Take care everyone. Hope Monday is kind to us all especially those with health and other worries.

Morning all from another glorious sunny start here on the south coast.

Your DH has the right idea about Bank Holidays, Mattie and we too always stay put and avoid the crowds and traffic! No pleasure in either! We enjoy our garden and often comment on how fortunate we are to have our own oasis to enjoy. It would be a different story if we had no private outside space.

I am going to give myself a pedicure today. I have a deep moisturising foot pack to try which seems to involve tying some plastic bags round my feet for 20 minutes, whilst they absorb a tea tree and peppermint treatment. I hope to be dancing on air afterwards! wink

Hope the day is a good one for us all. sunshine

Good morning from a sunny, cloudless E Kent.
Glad you both had a nice day yesterday, Mick and Ash. Ours was like any other Monday. I can’t remember ever going out on a BH weekend in the 45 years I’ve known DH. The crowds and traffic put him off!
Tai chi, then supermarket today. With any luck, we’ll also go to a furniture shop and choose new sitting room sofa/s ?, they’ve been promised for nearly two years... the present ones are serviceable but shabby now.
Hope the GraMmingos find some smiles ?, sunshine ☀️, flamingos ? and missing mojos. ????

Good morning, everyone, from a sunny but breezy Torbay.

Yesterday, I packed a picnic lunch and travelled to Teignmouth on the top deck of the bus for the views of Labrador Bay which was unfortunately rather hazy. My destination did not disappoint and I enjoyed a stroll along the prom with many other holidaymakers. After lunch, I indulged in the naughty treat of a 99! The tide was high with spray soaking folk close to the railing which I’ve tried to capture in my third photo.

Today I start three days of being a live “exhibit” at Brixham Museum, alternating between rôle playing a Victorian poet with a smuggler, along with friends from our theatre company.

I hope everyone can find a reason to smile and we shall soon hear from absent friends. ☀️??
