Did we really think he did? It’s unusual for the Palace to get involved in things like this. Does that mean that it was really upsetting for the Queen? According to the Telegraph headline this morning, they did ask her.
Is this more evidence of ‘their truth’ on both sides?

Sorry - correction, it was a 'source', not a statement.
And I notice that this thread and the Lilibet one are not showing in Active or Trending ?

Today would have been the Duke of Edinburgh's 100th birthday
What a sad day for the Queen

FannyCornforth Thu 10-Jun-21 07:29:03

On a lighter note, Noel Gallagher has joined the Harry debate, calling him a 'f***ing a***hole'.

And he’s an expert on close brotherly love! ??

Nice pics of the Queen receiving the D of E Rose from some horticultural organisation, has been planted in gardens at Windsor.

She looks very well, despite all the hoo haa.

FannyCornforth Thu 10-Jun-21 07:38:57

Yes, Merlot, I didn't think of that!
I hope Her Majesty hears about it, it should raise a royal smile!
Perhaps soon it will be Sir Noel Gallagher ?

FannyCornforth Thu 10-Jun-21 07:41:20

I don't know if any of you get the D***y M**l (I can't be the only one!).
There were some fabulous photos of HM in the Weekend section.
She is such a trooper

Ellianne Thu 10-Jun-21 08:59:14

I feel sorry for the Queen today, the DofE was so close to reaching 100.

FannyCornforth Thu 10-Jun-21 09:06:58

Yes, Ellianne, there must have been plans in place for today too

Noel also made a jibe about Harry’s relationship with Meghan, commenting: “This is what happens when you get involved with Americans. As simple as that.”

How lovely.

He sounds like a shoo-in for Gransnet. Is he posting here already?

I quite like Noel, he seems a decent type of chap. A genuine sort

merlotgran Thu 10-Jun-21 10:06:04

Sorry. Taking the mickey out of the wrong brother!

tickingbird Thu 10-Jun-21 10:06:13

Seeing the Queen being presented with the DoE rose I was quite taken aback by how old and frail she looked. I think it was because she just had a dress and cardigan on and not dressed how we are used to seeing her.

With all that’s going on in her world she probably longs to join her husband,

Oh lord yes, Liam can't string two words together

FannyCornforth Thu 10-Jun-21 10:07:40

tickingbird sad

maddyone Thu 10-Jun-21 10:14:04

I saw that the man who developed and gave her the rose is called Mr Weed grin
It’s a lovely rose though, I saw a picture of it. It’s called the Edinburgh Rose, and that’s lovely for the Queen.

^'Pump! Pump!'^

Wasn't that Toad of Toad Hall? ?

It was "poop poop" when Toad had a new shiny car and was whizzing round the lanes!
"Here today, in next week tomorrow."

I do believe it was said with the best of intentions, Liam once had his front teeth knocked out by some person, not Noel, who he had an irate exchange with, possibly Noel is trying to pre-empt that happening to PH.

Whatdayisit Thu 10-Jun-21 12:04:32

Noel and Liam have got a more honest in public rift than William and Harry! Liam and Harry both the younger ones both Virgo! Noel must sympathise with William.

Yes i feel so much for The Queen today. We have booked a visit to Sandringham on Saturday for her official birthday but HM will be in Windsor.
I am hoping to buy one of the Prince Phillip roses.

Alegrias1 Thu 10-Jun-21 12:19:38

Did I understand this correctly Call ...Noel called Harry a f***ing a***hole and you think it was done with the best intentions?
