Wonderful news, Georgesgran, what a relief. Of course there’ll be some sadness too, but you’ll be able to see your DH live on through this darling baby boy. I’m so happy for you and your Daughter. How clever is she! ?? x

Have a lovely day grandMattie and many congratulations Georgesgran on your new grandson.
Dull here in Cheshire - DS will be here for a cuppa after bell ringing with DH. Back to a familiar Sunday routine.
Will indulge myself with the rest of the posts later.
Hope you can all have a good day - at least have a day smile

Good morning all from Polmont. The sun is splitting the sky and it's warm (for Scotland) out. Congratulations Georgesgran on the birth of your grandson. Mixed emotions for you.
Today I'm off to an art workshop in the garden. My tutor holds these every year and only six people are allowed. I'm really looking forward to it and seeing her again. I made chicken tikka yesterday so I won't need to cook when I get back home. Have a good day all.

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s another warm sunny start to the day
A very big Congratulations to georgesgran , her DD and the family - such lovely new baby news. I hope your DD recovers well
We’ve got the DGC coming over for a sleepover tonight as there’s a day off school tomorrow for an in service day. So this morning I’m off to the shops to stock up the cupboards and think of something to make for tea for us all later. Might fall back on the traditional sausage, mash and peas...
Sounds like you’ve had a wonderful trip GM have a safe journey home and enjoy seeing the rest of your family
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Thanks Maw. Good morning Mick if you are able to read this, morning all from South Lanarkshire where we have beautiful sunshine.

Safe journey Mattie, I’m glad you’ve had such a lovely time.

Congratulations on the new arrival Georgesgran.

Elizabeth1 I hope today is a good one for you.

No real plans here, DH is making noises about pressure washing the paving which has led to musings about where in the garage his wellies might be. I think I’ll go for a long walk.

Wishing everyone a peaceful Sunday.

Good morning all from an overcast Yarmouth. We had such a lovely day yesterday. The National trust garden at Mottistone was a great find with a cottage garden feel to it and woodland walk which led to a fantastic view over the island.
Yarmouth was busy and bustling with people enjoying the sunshine.
Overcast here this morning, DH’s son is running in a half marathon, hope to see him as the course comes past here. He will meet us after with his daughter for lunch and we will then head home.
Congratulations Georgesgran on the birth of your grandson, a poignant time for you.
Happy Sunday all

Good morning all from a cloudy S Hants, thanks Maw and a wave to Mick. Because it’s overcast I’ve had a good long sleep, no bright sun sneaking round the curtains.
Ashcombe how is Oldudders? Not heard from him for a while.
Happy Birthday MrNanKate ?? enjoy your day and Congratulations Georgesgran on the new addition.
More allotment today with MrJ; our local has reinstated the Sunday meat draw at 5pm, so we’ll pop down for that. I’ll have a chicken bubbling away in the slow cooker ready for dinner.
Have a lovely day, whatever you’re up too, sunshine and ???for all.

Nannytopsy Sun 06-Jun-21 08:31:30

Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s bright but not quite sunny.
I have woken up with a sore and swollen face. This happens occasionally and I have no idea what I am allergic to.
Congratulations Georgesgran and happy birthday MrNan.
Hope everyone has a good day.

harrigran Sun 06-Jun-21 08:48:16

Good morning from a not so bright NE.
Was a fairly sticky night with duvet on and off at intervals.
Sister and BIL brought the plants and everything required to pot them, he is a star, saved me having to rummage in the garage for things.
Sister and I had a glass of Champagne and BIL had a chilled no alcohol lager. He has promised to return and remove the moss that has built up over the last year.
GC went to meet with their other GPS yesterday for the first time in over a year. They live 250 miles apart so they met halfway, I hope they had a lovely.
Going to prepare courgettes and make a pot of vegetables with a tomato sauce, will serve me several times during the week.
The ? has made an appearance.

harrigran Sun 06-Jun-21 08:52:02

Congratulations on your new GS Georgesgran, nothing like a new baby to lift the spirits flowers

Good morning from an overcast S Welsh coast.
Happy birthday to Mr NanKate ?
Good news Susan that your SiL2 is so much better.
Our soon to be one year old pup was duly bathed yesterday and then went out and started digging the lawn, how do you stop a dog digging?? Answers on a postcard please.
BBQ planned for later and we will watch the Grand Prix.
Wishing all a pleasant day.

Lins1066 Sun 06-Jun-21 08:55:38

Congratulations to Georgesgran, mixed emotions indeed.

Good morning Mick and all from a brightening northwest Lancashire coast.
Feeling tired at the mo, due to wonky knee I think and need to get out on my bike again. Not much to report, changed the cat food, the Felix was not going down well, so back to Whiskas. I spoil this cat but what a little pal through lockdown.
Hope you get sorted Mick and congratulations to Georgesgran
Happy Sunday to all.

MawBe Sun 06-Jun-21 08:58:36

Happy news Georgesgran - if bittersweet.
Paw never even got to know our youngest was pregnant although he knew they had been trying , so I felt a bit like you must.
I was especially touched when she gave the baby his name as his middle name and although married for 9 years has not changed her name so DGS is xxxx Paw Broon xxxx (if you see what I mean) flowers ?

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where’s it’s warm but with white cloud cover. Thanks for opening up again Maw and posting Mick’s message.

Hearty congratulations Georgesgran on the safe arrival of your new baby grandson. Bet you can’t wait for a cuddle. Such a relief too I imagine for you regarding your clever girl.

Hi to you Fanny ? nice to see you on this thread! Where are you based & what’s the weather like there? Now that’s the important stuff!

Morning to you too Anniebach you pop in here every day and it’s lovely to hear from you. I hope you are doing well and enjoying some sunshine too.

We have a table reservation for 3pm for the 7 of us (stepfather & the 4 young family group) at our favourite Italian restaurant. It is literally round the corner from the front entrance here but Himself will drive over to fetch my stepfather first. I’m really looking forward to it.

Sounds as though you’ve had a wonderful visit to Bristol all round grandMattie and not to many crushed eggshells either so even better! Hope you get over to France soon Ashcombe! Are you planning an extended stay to make up for lost time? I would. Bet you are so excited to be able to go at last.

Enjoy Sunday, all who can. Life’s good. x

Hasy good morning, late for church, wonderful news Georgesgran, know the feeling of relief! Supposed Sunday lunch outside today for anxious DIL, DS and two DGDs, hooe the rain holds off, they would be too scared to come in!

Urmstongran Sun 06-Jun-21 09:04:40

Empathetic as always Maw. It’s good to have you back again. You always say the kindest things, coming from (sadly) a place you know of yourself. I’m sure your words will resonate with Georgesgran.
?? for both of you today.

Good morning from a beautiful sunny day here in Essex by the sea. The tide is in and I can see the sun sparkling on the water.
We went out for our first meal in six months last night but something obviously didn't agree with me and I have been up and down all night.
DH has gone to rugby with his grandsons and I am having a lazy morning.
Congratulations to Georgesgran on the birth of a new grandson, how lovely.
Safe journey home GM, glad you have had a lovely time.
I hope Mick manages to sort his gremlins out and thanks to Maw for opening up again.
Have a lovely day everyone xx

Marydoll Sun 06-Jun-21 09:12:41

Good morning all from a cloudy, with bursts of sun Glasgow.

So much positive news on here today. GM what a great weekend for you family wise and the icing on the cake, you will see your beloved boy! Congratulations, Georgesgran, bittersweet emotions, I would imagine.
Elizabeth, lovely for you to be getting to church and interact with the congregation.
Happy birthday *Mr NanKate*????

A day of pottering for me today. Enjoy your Sunday, everyone!

Good morning from a balmy, damp south Cornwall, where my patio smells of mint and lemon balm. A day of sorting my flat and food for when I return from my second hip replacement, operation tomorrow, home on Wednesday, and I'm also downloading audio library books for my hospital stay. It's a lovely small private hospital used by the NHS for orthopaedics. Luxury, I'm very blessed. The best of days to all.
