So many things to be happy about for me today.

It’s warm and sunny, soothing muscles and making movement easier.

Both laundry hampers are completely empty!

Washing drying on the line in the glorious sunshine.

We have a bulky waste collection booked for today, can finally get rid of some major clutter.

My great nephew is celebrating his 9th birthday, thriving after scaring us all by arriving 6 weeks early via an emergency caesarean due to a detached placenta.

I feel so much more hopeful today.

The sunny weather. Birds in the garden. My cats stretched out in patches of sun. A good audio book to listen to later.

Best wishes too everybody with health issues or rubbish relationships.
Sunny days make everything feel 100 times better. So i am grateful for the sun although too hot for me. Good weather really helps you shut the rubbish things out.
I am sat having a coffee after the nursery pick up listening to GS snoring as loud as big chap after a few pints!
Feel quite on top of things today lots of ironing to do, husband and dog biscuits to pick up. Make tea - which is something, since having covid, i have struggled with! There's a bit of brain fog which leaves me staring into space rather than getting on like i used to do but i have been following a couple of motivation websites so really trying to get my life back!
Although not having another coffee and getting off Gransnet might help!

Hopefully time to get in the garden a bit and a nice walk before bed.
Got to make the most of these light June nights time is passing so quickly.

A message from my son that my GS Louis 7 who has now had two surgeries for a brain tumour won’t need Chemo/Radio therapy at this time but will have scans and monitoring every 3 months for the foreseeable future. Such good news after a terrible 3 mths of stress and worry for them I hope it stays that way. He of course is itching to go back to school and see his friends. My stress levels have lifted somewhat and I feel less on edge when the phone rings.
Enjoy the good weather everyone.

My little dog as we have just come back from our lunchtime walk, he is a very wise doggy and listens to everything without passing judgement.

A lovely day, beautiful plants in the garden, peace and quiet to do whatever I want.

I'm going a drive up the north coast of N.Ireland this evening with a friend to take dogs a walk somewhere different and then get take out chips to eat in the car. Doesn't take a lot to make me happy grin

Tanith how awful the last few months must have been for you all. I sincerely hope that Louis gets his wish and can now go back to school and lead a more normal life.

Hello everyone!
This is my first post on GN, and a positive thread to start with.
I also have 2 loads of washing on the line, which seems to be a shared pleasure. We need this sunshine!!
I'm recovering from weeks of hip pain, and this morning I was able to walk pain-free, almost as before.
Seize the day -agree with you all! We don't know what's round the corner.

The antibiotics are working and I felt so much better this morning.

I managed to stay on my feet and moving for over 6 hours from when I woke at 5.30 to around midday.

Just had my first bowl of locally grown Strawberries with Creme Fraiche and I don't expect it will be my last wink

The fact that I have stopped procrastinating and filled in forms, made appointments/phone calls etc, and generally accomplished all the things that I had left for a rainy day. Unfortunately it’s not raining, but at least I can sit outside later on.

Life is just good. The sun is shining and little things make me happy. Hearing the birds sing in the.mornings. Sitting watching a blue sky with fluffy clouds. Also hearing that my son who was very against the Covid jab has rung and said he is having the vaccination and has been told he can go to a drop in vaccination centre. Im delighted as we are,all vaccinated then. Another worry over with .

One of my gorgeous granddaughters has moved in with us today ! She is going to college near us in September but wanted to move in early, which is so lovely.
It’s helped with my sadness of my younger brother losing his cancer battle on Saturday.
Life’s certainly full of ups and downs .......

Just in from a lovely lunch with four friends. Great. Also had very successful shopping session on the homeward journey. All good. Walked the perimeters to find one of my poppy plants is bursting forth and absolutely covered in huge pods. Absolutely beautiful.

Lovely weather plus a trip to the Turkish Baths in Harrogate for a belated Christmas treat from my daughter. Plus a bit of retail therapy thrown in, a new dress bought from M&S. Positive thoughts today!

LuckyFour Wed 09-Jun-21 16:56:23

Happy today because we've got our internet back after it going off three days ago. It meant we couldn't send or receive emails and our phone was also out. All back now thank goodness as last time this happened we were without services for two weeks!

Gingster Wed 09-Jun-21 17:11:45

Sitting in my garden overlooking the beach, listening to the waves as they gently hit the shore. The garden is shipshape and my back feels easier . DH has just gone in to make G and T’s . Little pooch is napping at my feet.
Alls right with my world!

Thoughts go to grandmafrench and her friend.
positive news for Louis *tanith
Wishing everyone a happy day

Beautiful day, all my family are well, ordered three pretty summer dresses (hope they fit!) All items delivered today with my shopping order, had a haircut, and look better for it.
Small things - much joy.
