I was about 10 or 11 and was totally gripped by a radio drama called Journey into Space. Every episode ended on a cliff hanger so you couldn’t miss the next one. It was completely gripping and I never forgot how scary it was.
Anyone else remember it?

I have a cd with all the old radio tunes on it, including Marching Strings which was the music to Top of the Form. Anyone remember that?

My little sister ued to call it Bit Darken.
i also used to like a serial for young people called Ballet Shoes.
From the book by Noel Streatfield.
In the years at the end of WW2 Forces Favourites.
And later The Goons.

I certainly remember "Two Way Family Favourites" as it was later called. My father was stationed in Germany a lot while I was small. I think it started with "With a Song in My Heart" and we listened at lunch time on a Sunday. Didn't it either follow or come after comedies such as The Navy Lark?

Ooh yes, Journey into Space. I remember it well, Very scary. Also the Glums - 'O0oh, Ron!' Was it June Whitfield? And then there was Workers' Playtime - remember Ted Ray and his violin?
