Good Morning Everyone,
Its a cloudy and wet start here in Brackley this morning .
Plans for the day , housework morning , followed by lunch and then the tour on TV , watching to see how the race unfolds .
I have got a programmed laid out for the week , with very little change in routine .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning, Mick and everyone to follow, from a very soggy Torbay. We had little respite from the rain yesterday and it has persisted throughout the night, creating mini floods where the drains are blocked. Poor holidaymakers!

Throughout the pandemic, our church has been open daily for several hours for private prayer. Last week, someone had the bright idea of opening both sets of double doors to air the building. Unfortunately, this led to a visit from two curious gulls, presumably seeking spiritual sustenance! The inevitable “calling cards” resulted, giving our dedicated cleaning ladies extra tasks!

Shortly, I shall paddle to the car for an early visit to Lidl. Wishing everyone a good week with relief from pain of any kind. ??⛅️☀️?

Good morning from a damp, grey E Kent. It rarely rains here, but we do get the cloud…
Had a bad night it’s DH tossing, turning and getting up, then coming back. I have been awake since 0330ish, he’s fast asleep now. He will no doubt complain about his bad night when he gets up.
Cleaning today and little else.
Hope today brings relief to the sad, in pain and anxious, and everyone has a good day. ????☀️??

Good morning from a rainy north Surrey. Drove home from work in monsoon conditions last night, was pretty scary, in 2nd gear most of the way. There is a lot of standing water on the roads this morning.
Waiting for the gym top open up.
Have a very large pile of ironing and take dad to get a blood test this morning.
Carpenter coming this afternoon to quote on flooring and news doors.
Wishing all a good day

Scentia Mon 28-Jun-21 06:33:43

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it looks a little grey out there.
Off to work shortly then off to my walking group later this evening. I will walk to the start point to get some extra miles in!
DGS was a delight at the running race yesterday, charming as ever with people. He is delightful company and I am so proud of him and my DD and DSiL for how they are raising such a lovely little boy.
DH was amazing in his race and ran his 10k in just 40minutes which at nearly 60 is a great time. I am sort of enjoying the TDF and will try my hardest to go along with DH programme of race watching, which I assume is much like Mick’s ?

Take care my friends?

Good morning all from a wet S Hants, bit of house cleaning this morning and voluntary work this afternoon/evening. I’ve just had a small nosebleed, the cauterisation from two weeks ago not quite healed.
Have a good day all, thoughts with those absent.

hollysteers Mon 28-Jun-21 06:49:29

Good morning Mick and all from a Sunny suet on Sea, northwest Lancashire coast.
I’m off on a bus trip to Yorkshire so have my sarnies and coffee made. An early start for this normally night owl.
I have an elastic support on the gammy knee, so hope that helps.
Hope you all have a good day and thoughts to those with troubles of any kind.

Sar53 Mon 28-Jun-21 06:57:39

Good morning from a very soggy Essex by the sea. We had a lot of rain yesterday evening and during the night.
I'm going out later for a few bits that I need plus some treats from M&S as DH is away.
Thoughts with those in pain or sadness. Have the best Monday you can ???xx

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s grey and wet.

After weeding yesterday I sat in several places around my garden. There is one area that I shall have to make a decision on and have been thinking about how to make it look tidy and easier for me to manage.

I’m going to take today as it comes. My friend may call by today.

Have a good day all and I am intrigued by the lilac knickers ?

GrannyGravy13 Mon 28-Jun-21 07:16:29

Morning Mick and all

Yep, it’s definitely grey and soggy here in S E Essex☔️☔️☔️

Off to the opticians first thing for annual eye test, then it’s the gym and I shall see what else, she today brings.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a clear blue sky and a warm sunny day forecast. Sounds like there’s lots of rain elsewhere so I hope it clears up soon and the sun comes out
Well done to your DH Scentia such a good achievement in the race and so lovely too about your DGS
Today we’re looking after the DGC so we’re off to Urquhart Castle on the banks of Loch Ness. We’ll be having a picnic lunch there and then taking them home this afternoon when their dads home from work. Then home for a much needed rest I expect!
Enjoy your trip to Yorkshire Hollysteers and hope you have a great day
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?

NanKate Mon 28-Jun-21 07:21:41

Morning Mick and All from a grey overcast South Bucks.

Preparing to go to look after our DGSs from tomorrow. We haven’t done this for about 15 months. We will notice the difference in them. They are 10 and 8 and they can wrap me round their little finger. ?

I may fit in some ‘undercover’ Wimbledon if I’m lucky today.

Lins1066 Mon 28-Jun-21 07:22:03

Good morning from a wet S Welsh coast. Yesterday's rain never materialised and we had a stroll down the beach. I didn't sleep well and will be taking it gently today.
Wishing you a pleasant day.

Grandmabatty Mon 28-Jun-21 07:22:11

Good morning all from Polmont. It's cloudy but warm and forecast to get warmer. I think we are getting the dry weather for a change.
Yesterday I pottered about. I made a pineapple upside down cake for dd as she loves it. I'll take it today when I pick up boy wonder. Grandmafrench thank you for your concern. I have no idea what's brought on my sore hand. It isn't easing off any either!
Today is a babysitting one. Unfortunately the firm which eventually arranged to sort the hedges is also coming today or maybe tomorrow. That'll be fun, keeping boy wonder away from a man with a chainsaw! So no trip to the park as I'll have to hang around. What's the betting garden man turns up tomorrow? Anyway have a good day all.

Good morning Mick and all from - going to be very hot - 30° - Lueneburg. I have been watering the garden for the last 3 hours. I am so enjoying the heat. I had a busy last 4 days with visitors almost every day. Also, I am preparing to rent out the top flat in my house in preparation to spending a lot of time in Britain in the coming month - I hope. So, a bit of weeding, clearing rubbish and going to do some shopping. Waldi finds it too hot - she rests in the bedroom where I got the blinds down. I am looking forward to the football game tomorrow. The classic - England/Germany. I am not really a football fun - but this one I shall watch - 1966 and all. The german team doesn`t seem to be very good.
My husband was a big tour de france fan. I just watch it for the scenery.
I read your entertaining posts every day - just love them all.

I hope that you all have a pleasant day . Take care.

Gwenisgreat1 Mon 28-Jun-21 07:25:28

Good morning all from cloudy Harrogate.
This morning we see my DSis off on the train back to Surrey. We all enjoyed a roast at DD1s house yesterday, which was lovely. She was entertained by my two DGC. She was taken round the garden to look for beanstalks by Jack (DGS) who has decided that is his name.
Think she has benefited from her visit. She certainly enjoyed her trip to the borders as did I.
Today I’ll have a wash on, and hopefully be back to check up on you all!!
Stay safe in these troubled times and have the best day you can

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire where it’s a little cloudy at the moment but I’m hoping it will burn off.

We had a delightful afternoon yesterday with DD and her brood. The children all amused themselves, the eldest took on the role of waitress, she took orders for desserts and served them beautifully.

I have a hearing test this morning, my hearing is fine but it’s to do with the vertigo I experienced a while back. Menieres had been suspected a couple of years ago so I expect they want to see if there’s been any changes since then.

After that I’ve arranged to have a walk with a friend and neighbour, she wants to buy from the egg vending machine at one of the local farms. The milkman brings mine.

As usual I wish everyone a peaceful day, with perhaps a fleeting glimpse of a passing flamingo. ???

NannyJan53 Mon 28-Jun-21 07:32:12

Good morning from a rainy Black Country. After a fairly dry and sunny day yesterday. Sigh, we should be in sunny Lindos right now on the island of Rhodes. Hopefully we will have sun when we are away in two weeks.

Supposed to be a health walk this morning, so I will decide whether or not I go in an hour. There is always a pile of ironing waiting smile

Wishing you all a good start to the week.

Pittcity Mon 28-Jun-21 07:39:49

Good morning from a grey misty Colchester. I hope it stays dry today as I'd like there to be progress and maybe even completion of the patio and garden path. I'm itching to get out there to tidy up and being able to organise the rubbish and hang out the washing would be lovely.

Laundry, ironing and shopping today.

Love to all x

Grandmadinosaur Mon 28-Jun-21 07:39:56

Good Morning it’s a dull one here,
We had a lovely day yesterday. Out in the morning for coffee then when I was finishing our lunch prep I had a text from DS asking if we were home as they wanted to call round. As I opened the door there stood DGS fresh from Footytots with a trophy in hand and a medal round his neck. He has been wanting to get the weekly awarded trophy since he began ; weeks ago. He was so proud and grandma and grandad was too. I think I spot a competitive streak in this little one! I enclose a photo.
Today for me a quick tidy up and the Wimbledon beckons. Easy quick evening meals for us!
Have a good day everyone.

kittylester Mon 28-Jun-21 07:47:29

Good morning all from a damp and misty North Leicestershire.

A day of cooking - my comfort zone!! Then a phone call to my brother who is 69 today! He was quite a lot better yesterday, sitting in a chair and walking (with assistance) to the loo. His speech was better too, apparently. The new antibiotics seem to be working though the source of the infection still needs to be found.

cornergran Mon 28-Jun-21 07:48:30

Morning Mick, morning All from a grey, soggy corner of Somerset. The puddles are joining up outside.

Early phone call booked with the GP, one to follow from the dentist then onwards with catching up with the boring if necessary stuff of life before what will undoubtedly be a long phone chat with our stressed goddaughter. Mr C made himself a to do list yesterday and plans to begin, with what I’m not quite sure, hopefully nothing messy.

Some understandably proud grans this morning, congratulations to all with achievements. Hope Monday is kind to us all, stay dry everyone.

monk08 Mon 28-Jun-21 07:48:49
