Good morning from sunny Shropshire.

Glad the MRI and the train journey went well Ash.I love the altar cloth and the stained glass window.

We have not had to book for coffee or lunch when out and about mattie but after your experience will phone where we are planning to go today to check.

Thank you for all the anniversary wishes yesterday.DD was mortified when she arrived with H yesterday and realised it was our anniversary! She said she would take him home again and take the day off work but we obviously said no.When we took H home she had cooked a lovely meal for us ?

Today DD and I are going shopping while DH looks after H at their house.H has started singing all the time and he has the sweetest voice☺️

Thinking of all our missing friends and all with illness and worries?

Have a good day all??

Good morning from a sunny Torbay, couldn’t leave Torbay out while Ashcombe is in Crewe, enjoy your visit.
Waiting in today for a delivery and maybe some gardening.
Enjoy your day everyone xx

Good Morning everyone from sunny Severnside.

My shopping trip was mostly successful and then while putting things away on returning home I shut my thumb in the cupboard door and made it bleed. Not the brightest thing to have done.

Weeding and a mammogram appointment today.
This popped up on my Facebook page last night and I thought of you BlueSapphire. Have you tried it ?

Have a good day all whatever you do ?

Good morning from a sunny NE ?
Grocery delivery was prompt but had a few missing items, shampoo and kitchen roll, never mind I am sure we'll manage.
Wine delivery at lunchtime, a wee girl lifted a large box from the van, carried it down the drive and placed it in my porch, I was impressed.
DS is dismantling his observatory this weekend and it will be moving on to another astronomer. DH and DS built it together but DS would like to move house.
DD had a problem with her vaccination, had first one in Belgium and was given an appointment here in the NE for second, when she arrived they told her they had run out as anyone can just walk in now. Directed to another centre but not at all organised. She must have paperwork that is acceptable otherwise they won't allow her back into Brussels.
Have a good day.

Enjoy your break Ash and thanks for train experience it bears well for the future. Before this DH and myself would travel by rail at least twice a Month on days out. With his health issues we were a little wary but I may now be able to persuade him to take the train again.

I forgot to reduce the size of the image so I hope this works!

Good morning one and all from a sultry Crewe, where I’ve been made most welcome by my DD2 and family, including her FiL who met me at the station.

The MRI scan was an interesting experience although I imagine it would not be for anyone with claustrophobia. Beforehand, I received excellent preparation from the radiography assistant who explained in great detail what would happen, which gave me reassurance. The whole process took about 45minutes, including a break half way to inject dye into the cannula inserted earlier, during which I dozed briefly! Afterwards I happened to pass the hospital chapel so visited this oasis of calm. (See photo) I love the altar cloth, reflecting our proximity to the sea.

After lunch, I undertook my first train journey since March last year! I travelled on three different trains with GWR, Cross Country and Avanti. None was crowded and the Cross Country one smelt wonderful! I observed the steward cleaning every seat that was used. Everyone wore masks, except when eating or drinking.

I hope my descriptions of yesterday's experiences will help any of you who are apprehensive about undertaking train journeys or undergoing scans - good luck with yours, Scentia! You are such a busy person, grandMattie: I envy your energy!

Wishing everyone a fine day for whatever you have planned. It’s lovely to read of outings of various kinds - almost normality! ???☀️?

Good morning from another bright day in E Kent.
I’ve been very busy - made 10 pots of apricot jam, a batch o dae slices, a cheesecake…
I took my old friend out for coffee - going in to visit her Home is just too onerous - and went to a local cafe. After queuing, I was asked if we had book. Booked? No! Sorry, no room!!! I wasn’t best pleased -a cafe? Requiring booking? I took her to a local hotel, where they couldn’t have been nicer and more charming. Don’t think I’ll bother with the cafe again.
Today, I’m picking up DS1 after he returns his hired car, then taking him to Lidl for granola, etc.
Bed change today…. I don’t know if my energy levels will hold up!
May all our GraMmingos have a -free day (pain, sorrow, anxiety) and have some warmth and sunshine in their lives. ????☀️⭐️??

Good morning all from the Black country. Dull outside again but hopefully will brighten like yesterday. Day out with DS and the boys today will probably go to Lichfield the boys enjoy the park there. Meeting friends later at the club.
Enjoy your Friday everyone and may you all find some ?.

Looks like another splendid day in sunny Glasgow. Yesterday our patio was unusable as it is such a sun trap with the temperature in the mid 30C. On the grass beneath the tree it was a bearable 26C.
The grass is turning brown with the long hot spell so today I shall spike and water it. The glut of mange tout will be happily received by neighbours and I need to sow some bright lights chard as mine have bolted in the heat.

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it looks a little grey out there.
Off to Whitehaven this morning as DD is cycling the C2C cycle route tommorrow . I am the official support crew!
But first I am off to have 2 MRI scans at the hospital to try and get to the bottom of this shoulder and neck pain.?
Do have the best weekend you can and ‘Come on England’ ?????????

Good Morning Everyone,
Its dry but part cloudy here in Brackley this morning, today small early shop then watch the Tour De France with its slightly early start ,late morning.
Yesterdays was with Cav getting another win, 3 to go for new record , also the situation with Cav resembles Andy Murray both returning from injury and illness , by delivering the goods when it matters most to the wider audience.
Take Care,
Mick
